What's good bruh?!?! Glad to see you back with new videos.. I subbed because you're a cool brother in Texas pulling those crappies out the water.. I plan to do the same here in Georgia.. I love your videos so much that I went back and looked at a lot of the old ones.. Your boat rocks!! I have a 1995 Stratos 285XL Pro (blue/grey) as my first boat and it's not in half as good a shape as yours, but I'm using it as a project boat.. It floats and puts me on the fish!! I'm going to re-carpet her, and replace the motor soon (likely before Spring).. Keep putting out the great content, and thanks for being an inspiration to those of us in this fishing game!! Tight lines!!

Okay, put some high octane fuel 100 octane. Can Go with a 2-blade 24 pitch racing prop. Careful of RPM's. One thing, raise that motor up about 3", and tighten up bolts, and keep it in that position. Should you stay at that., you can also put a raker racing prop. experiment with pitches till you get right. With that said, with everything done above, you should get about 67mph tops... Also trimming that motor up 10 degrees when running wide open will also help. Careful not to lose steering, watch temp guage.

Man I am struggling with the decision to install a new outboard on my boat or just get a new boat. My first boat was a 15ft Skeeter with a 90hp Mercury. I purchased it used from a boat mechanic and I had no idea that Mercury was to much for that boat. That boat was rated for a max 60hp. It ran like a scalded dog with that Mercury. Only later on when I learned about boats did I figure out what had happen. That Yammie looks so sweet on your rig. You just made my decision even harder.

    • @Deecrappie

If you can afford it there's nothing like a new boat. But if you're old boats great and fish good and you are very comfortable with it repower

Man that's crazy. My first boat was an 80s 15' skeeter with a 90 mercury tower of power inline 6.😂😂😂 now I have a 18' astro with an mercury xr6 150 that I know does over 60mph and it doesn't feel as fast as that ol skeeter.Im thinking its cause of the comfort of the big boat. Its like doing a 100 in a Cadillac vs 80 in a old Toyota Camry. The Camry just feels faster listening to the rpms and body shaking.I would love to know how fast that skater was going!
