it's just by adding chords to the notes he had already shown
plus he gave you the chords (what you're playing in the left hand) and just add octaves to the left hand

I have been playing music on one instrument or another, for as long as I can remember, but I have the piano skills of an average four-year-old. I saw a short, deceptive video of somebody trying to play this song using one hand, numbering the keys 1 through 7. Within the first few seconds I realized the video was a complete sham and was completely discouraged from trying to learn this song. I was so grateful to find this video which had me playing the basic intro riff after only about 10 minutes of practice. Thank you and much love!

Your tutorials are so easy to follow and have helped me learn so many songs! I haven’t found anyone else like you on RUclips, definitely subbed! (I couldn’t get the timing correct for the right hand and left hand together (Not block chords) so I slowed your video down and I finally realized each right hand note plays on every other left hand note. This helped me tremendously and now I can almost fully play it well.)
