@mikerichardson7053 they traded 3 for one, and won the division without Tucker half the season and playing Singleton and a catcher at 1st. They will be fine after they add a single outfielder.
Jose Abreu was 3 years older when he signed with the Astros and his power numbers weren’t as good as Walker. Plus, Walker is a better defensive player than Abreu was so although it’s a little similar there is really quite a bit of difference.
Judge is to delicate for first. He is will be the DH full time after the next two years. It makes it impossible to hurt himself in the field and theyll even probably give him the same run stop that Stanton has and hell give you one of 4 options K,Walk, Homerun, Single
The goal of the Astros front office was to remain competitive while also building up the farm system. I believe that they did just that so far. They previously had 0 prospects in the top 100 and now have at least 1. Paredes is under control for 3 more years, Walker is now signed for 3 years. Houston has $43,000,000 of dead money (paying Abreu, Montero and Grienke) coming off the books after this year as well. The AL West is a weak division currently so I think as of right now they accomplished what they set out for
I think the Yankees will over pay for Bregman. He has played 3B, but he used to be a SS...and he has played some LF. Bregman is an athlete. He's a 20HR guy and very good defensive.
Yankees fans really thought they were going to sign everybody 😂😂😂 When is Reality going to sink in?? Those days are over! Still think this is a better team??? LOL
How can you say that when the bulk of the video is talking about other teams signing players. The Yankees have 3 gaps and very little money without going well over the tax. They need players and all players left are basically mid. If what you were saying was true every Yankees fan would be saying so when we signing Corbin Burns and Pete Alonso. Two player would would take a massive chunk of money.
@KeenVanguard but they thought they were also getting Walker and more but they're not. They are being Delusional thinking these moves make them better than last season. 🤣🤣🤣
@michaeldepinto3562 wish for and saying it's a done deal is very different. You're the delusional one. This isn't the George Steinburner Yankees and they no longer have the largest pockets. Again Yankees fans were HOPING they could fill the gap with a good player the fills 2 of 3 of their needs. (Lefty/Good Defense/Open position)
@@KeenVanguard I'm not Delusional, I've been saying that. Going to get Tucker and Walker and blah, blah, blah our team will be better is all I heard. The Yankees are done and they definitely are not better like I'm hearing Yankees fans claim!
@michaeldepinto3562 it's impossible to get better from last year. We lost a soon to be 27YO who is hit 41hrs and walked more than he stuck out. There was no free agent this year that would compete with him. There have been years where 2 or 3 players of a high caliber and same position hit the market and it was a fight. This year it was 3 pitchers, Alonso and Soto. The only team that Juan Soto guaranteed a WS trip to was LA because they didn't lose much.
I would be surprised if the Yanks sign any play that has a QO. they don't want to lose the draft pick and even more the international money. I can see a trade for a second or third baseman and a one year first baseman with no QO. Santana would be good and platoon with Rice at first.
This seems like a "let's try to eke out another playoff or two" move by the Astros. I don't know how subtracting Tucker/Bregman and adding Paredes/Walker is gonna make them a better team. If McCormick doesn't get back to 2023 form, their outfield is looking terrible. (I have Alvarez at DH) It doesn't help they are wasting $30m on Montero and Abreu next year.
Yes but they won the division last year without Tucker and Bregman really got going in late July .. if the Astros sign a solid RF like Santander .. they will have a lineup 1-7 with 25 homer potential .. and one would think McCormick won’t be as bad. They also have Jacob melton who is really good in their farm.
or you could say they got a top prospect and 2 solid MLB players for Tucker who was guaranteed gone next year and added a solid 1B and let bregman walk for not wanting to pay a declining 31 yr old and shed all those bad contracts you mentioned for the 2026 offseason
@@Sawcon1380 That was my point, they aren't "going for it" and they aren't rebuilding.
