THANK YOU! I just recently came across your channel. I ordered the Magna Glide bobbins for my TL2010 but didn't realize I should take the spring out (or get extra bobbin case) so thank you for this very informative tutorial! Juki Junkies is awesome cuz I have 2 Juki's and I can't believe I only just found y'all!!!
Innovation! I like there is no case for the TL machines. I think I have to try it. Although winding my own on the TL18 hasn't been a problem. JukiJunkies does excellent instructional videos like this one. Thanks David! I learned almost everything about my TL from your videos. I will definitely buy threads and accessories here!
I just go a new machine from you and I’m going through all your videos. This one was very informative. Thanks I didn’t know about removing the spring. -done!
I love the magna glide bobbins! I wish you carried all the colors. I had to buy pink from another retailer. I have never taken the spring out, and so far I've never had a problem. Please start carrying pink magna glide bobbins!
jukijunkies.com/product/magna-glide-delights-cotton-candy-72-yds/ We have this “cotton candy” I will relay this to my dad so he can start ordering more colors :) -HD
Thank you so very much for making this video. I purchased the L Magna Glide bobbin to use on my DX2000, but quickly learned I ordered the wrong type of pre-wound bobbin. Luckily I have a TL-18 to use them on 😅. Video saved!
I use my TL2010 on my Cutie frame and discovering the prewound bobbin was best thing ever. So easy to change my bobbin and no worry about tension. Game changer.
I have these for my dx7 and I AM AMAZED AT HOW MUCH YOU CAN DO WITH ONLY 1 BOBBIN!!!! AT C'MAS I WAS MAKING BLANKETS AND HAD THE SAME BOBBIN IN FROM SEWING 2 QUILTS AND STILL FINISHED ALL 4 BLANKETS AND HAD ENOUGH TO STORE FOR A SMALL PROJECT!! HOLY MOLY I KEPT CHECKING IT AND TELLING MY HUSBAND, FINALLY HE JUST STARTED YELLING HOW WONDERFUL THEY WERE TO BEAT ME AND MAKE ME LAUGH 😂 😂 💙
Remove the spring? The bobbin has a magnetized side? How on earth have I been sewing with these??? THANK YOU! I'll bet my sewing is about to get so much better.
Shared, like, and LOVE the magnaglides! Learned that I will also order clearglides now for my computerized machines. Would love a color chart. Thanks for another great video.
I have a ton of that thread as well, but it is only two ply and if you look at it under a magnifying glass, you’ll see that it has a lot more fibers sticking out than the masterpiece cotton for example I forget the name of the fil-tec cotton thread
I was a Superior Cotton thread snob until I experimented with magna glide for the first time on Juki TL2200QVP. Game changer 💝 Now I’m thinking it’s time to try these on Juki TL2010Q. DONE ✅
I know you sell other brands of machines, so am curious as to whether the clear bobbins fit with Janome machines. I also the TL18 that I am just learning to use. Your videos have helped this "Golden Years" girl so much already! 😊😊
I agree, I ordered the pre-wound bobbins but didn’t realize i needed to remove the spring or how to do it. I am wondering when i use Tex 45 thread can i use the pre-wound Glide bobbins? I was always instructed I had to use the same thread top and bottom. I am sewing bags and wanted the strongest thread i had available. Please Let Me Know Patty
I've been using the prewound bobbins in my TL QVP18 and love them. I have not taken the spring out of the bobbin case because I didn't know I should. I've had absolutely no problem doing that. Can I leave it in or will I be sorry?
Hi Kathy, You’re the winner of our giveaway!! Please email us sewingmachines411@gmail.com And let us know your shipping address so we can get this shipped out :) ❤️
David, did I understand you right to say you can use the Glide 60wt bobbins with a Glide 40wt top thread? I’ve always pieced with cotton on my Janome & quilted or applied binding with Glide 40wt on my Juki 2010q. Just wondering if I could make the change to piece with my Glide supply too. I understand which bobbin goes to which machine. Thanks for all my recent orders!
Im sure this has been covered, I have a QVP18 is that correct? Anyways do i need to remove the spring and is there a tutorial for that. Sincerely a JUKI JUNKIES FOLLOWER.
Thank you sewww much for all the info. I recently started using the Magna glide pre-wounds on my Miyabi 350. I bought an extra bobbin so I could leave the spring out. You mention to be sure the spring is facing up when putting it back in the bobbin. I looked at my spring, and I'm not sure I can tell a difference between the two sides. Would you please explain what to look for? Also, do the little 'spring fingers' lay completely flat in the case, or stand out a little? Wondering if I bent mine.... Hope that makes sense... Thank you!
@@JukiJunkies well, considering you just put out a newer video on the oiling schedule that’s why I wanted to mention it I’m thinking the people that are using these types of bobbins probably do a very long haul of sewing
I had no ideal you had to remove the spring from bobbin case. I’ve learned so much from JJ!!!
Thank you for watching, I am glad we could help :)
Thank you for the video, I was wondering how to use the pre-wound bobbins. I will get the extra bobbin case... and more stuff, of course!

Entered! Thanks for this video. I’m a faithful Aurifil user, but the convenience of the pre wound bobbins is really making me consider switching!
I have a ton of that thread as well, but it is only two ply and if you look at it under a magnifying glass, you’ll see that it has a lot more fibers sticking out than the masterpiece cotton for example
I forget the name of the fil-tec cotton thread
Fil-Tec has Cairo 50 weight cotton that I like just as well, if not better, than my Aurifil. It doesn't curl up as much as Aurifil.
@@ericbrowning I knew they had a cotton thread. I just couldn’t remember the name offhand and yes, the other thread does curl.
Done! Thanks for info! Very helpful!

I was told by my dealer not to use pre wound so I assumed there were non available for my Juki. Done

You can use a different bobbin thread.
Hi! Do you have to remove the spring with prewound bobbins? Can I use prewound for piecing? I love them for FMQ. Thanks for this video ❤️
Yes, watch at 6:11 we go over the spring :)
You can use it for all sewing :)
This looks awesome

I've been using the prewound bobbins in my TL QVP18 and love them. I have not taken the spring out of the bobbin case because I didn't know I should. I've had absolutely no problem doing that. Can I leave it in or will I be sorry?
It should be okay... Just not recommended
Would love to have the chart

If I’m using the Magnaglide thread in my Juki 350 Myabi should I remove the spring from the bobbin case?
Thank you for watching, Yes i would :)
Entered.
Question: Can we steam-iron the polyester thread without damaging it?
Yes you can :)
We always recommend checking with a sample first all irons are different.
Done! I’ll be ordering some soon!
Thank you!

Can the clear glide bobbins be used on my mechanical juki?
If they are size L bobbins, they technically would work but it is not recommended to mix plastic bobbins when you have a metal bobbin case.

They should be flat. And fall into the slots

Will the prewound L fit in my DX7 David? TIA
It will work but its not a perfect fit. I recommend getting the class 15 a bobbins.jukijunkies.com/product-category/glide-60w/pre-wound-bobbins/

Juli do 8700. uses L??
Yes
Love your nails 😂
hahaha I knew someone would say it :) lol
One thing that I believe David forgot to mention is, if you are using these bobbins that last longer you have to readjust your oiling schedule
Not really... It wont be that much of difference. But thanks for your input :)
@@JukiJunkies well, considering you just put out a newer video on the oiling schedule that’s why I wanted to mention it I’m thinking the people that are using these types of bobbins probably do a very long haul of sewing
David is awfully cute -- even to an ol Grandma like me!! Dont worry David -- I'm harmless! I had not removed the spring! Mystery solved!
HAHAHAHA I have got the nickname "HD" for handsome Dave from all our wonderful customers :) I am glad we could help!!!!
what about the environmental impact. It seems to create a lot of plastic trash to buy these
Great question: The computerized bobbins are reusable and you can save the cores and send them back to Filtec to recycle them :)
