About The Carol Burnett Show
While there’s no truth to the rumor that “CBS” ever stood for The Carol Burnett Show, for eleven seasons and 278 episodes, this star-studded extravaganza of sketch comedy, song and dance became entertainment central for the network and TV viewers. Burnett operated in a relaxed theater setting that allowed her to take questions, cut loose with her famous Tarzan yell and join fellow performers Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner to have a laugh or sing a song. The show received 25 Emmy Awards and eight Golden Globes, making it one of the most honored shows in television history.

I bought an old 1985 Volkswagen, and the best part of it, is the dog looking out the hatchback window. My grandma had one too very long ago. You can't do that to newwer cars, just doesn't fit.

I was a kid in my early teens when the Carol Burnett show was popular and even then I laughed along with my parents, they certainly don't make TV shows like that any more.

Agreed. One thing I especially liked about this particular sketch is that it shows that Mr. Tudball actually cares about Mrs. Wiggins no matter how much he might act otherwise. i noticed at one point it looked like he was going to cry while talking to her at one point.

He used to write some very funny posts on Facebook until he became ill and had to stop. If you've never seen the movie The Private Eyes that he made with Don Knotts I recommend it.

My grandmother always watched her show eveynight. Her favorite actor was Harvey Corman he went to high school with my father, they were friends in school
About the same spot Mr. Tudball had his hand, or off to the side a little, I rested a finger on the front carriage track of a Royal I was working on. I accidentally released the carriage and it’s top track, like the lower track on the base, ran over my finger and chewed some hide off of it. Them Royals’ll bite ya if you’re not careful!

I watched this show when new, and this skit was one of my faves they did. The office that Whiggins used looks like an office from the 1930s and 1940s. Carol said the way that skirt was made caused her to walk as she did, and it was funny. Tim Conway was hilarious.

Thank you for the Upload Carol. I watched these as a Kid in the 1980s and reruns in the 1990s. To me the show should have lasted till 20 years ago lol.
I missed a number of shows when my parents made me go to bed at 8pm. Just as Carol Burnett was coming on! I could hardly wait till my bedtime moved to 9pm!

Thank you for posting Carol's Show's‼️I love her and I used to watch her with my parents as a teen. In fact, most families I knew growing up watched tv. together. It was considered quality time. They are all hysterical, however, Tim Conway is the funniest‼️Harvey Corman always had trouble keeping a straight face in just about every skit. Tim was so funny that Carol let him adlib a lot. All these great shows were performed live before a studio audience. I miss them‼️😭 Comedy was always treated as an art cuz' it is and people today just don't get it. I still don't understand how we started all the greats in tv history and how did we end up here? No children's hour. No FCC restrictions anymore. It has run amuck. No RESPECT‼️I also miss variety shows. Please keep posting these and thank you again. 😊👍🤣😂

Actually, she’s a member of the “Silent Generation.” So called because they were expected to be seen and not heard when they were young. During the length of her illustrious career, she was anything but silent. In addition to laughing at her show, I highly admire her and her accomplishments and her generosity. Very rare!!

Carol Burnett was fabulous in that show. She was so self-effacing too, a very far cry from today. Back then people were what we called normal and could laugh at themselves and at day to day situations. Today it's a toxic hell by comparison.

@@kleinthomas8267 Have you seen the one where Tudball takes Wiggins to lunch and Harvey Korman plays the waiter, whom Tim keeps calling silly names (clearly ad-libbing them, to throw Harvey off)?
There's also one featuring a vending machine with Harvey and Tim, but I think Mrs. Wiggins is hardly in that one.
