I'll show you how to make a latte at home in this video. Making starbucks lattes are great. This video is a good example of how you can save money if you make things like coffee lattes as home. My favorite devices are the Aerobie Aeropress espresso maker and the Cordless Milk Frother, both from amazon. These two devices together create the best tasting latte. Make your own Starbucks drinks at home and you can start saving money. Just a year of doing this, depending on how often you go to Starbucks, can save you over $1,000!
poor lady with all of these hating comments. This lady was trying to be helpful so go an hate yourself instead of innocent nice people
The people who disliked this video works at Starbucks lol
Thats the worst way you could possibly make a latte. She actually made a cappuccino. She burn her coffee, burnt her milk using microwave, improperly frothed her milk and in the end she poured her burnt expresso shot into the milk. That's why I disliked the video. Slap in the face to the true Baristas
Andres Ramirez you're right, was just about to say that. It's also the starbucks "macchiato" style, not a latte. I'd call it a cappuccino macchiato lol.
The espresso was left lying for far too long. She made a cappuccino and instead if even putting ut together right. She added the espresso to the milk so she practically make a dry latte macchiato. And for that ti taste better she would need to not leave the espresso just lying around for ages
She`s so adorable I was smiling all video along :)))
I rather save my 1000 bucks thanks for this I'm definitely doing it!
You are very welcome! 😊
As long as it tastes good who cares what she made or how she made it. Some of you all are ruthless
@tommy aronson 🙄
Ok I’ve always wanted to like coffee because I’m anemic so I have energy problems but I just can’t take the bitter taste. Luckily with this quarantine I’ve had my tik tok tendencies and made the whipped coffee which I actually loved and now I’ve found so many latte recipes!!! I know people keep critiquing them but as long as it tastes good that’s all that matters because lol I’ve never been able to handle Starbucks coffee.
Glad you have enjoyed the whipped coffee! We have liked that one too! hip2save.com/recipes/how-to-make-whipped-iced-coffee/
Thank you so much maam now i can drink good starbucks latte in my home. I am so happy because there is no starbucks shop near my home :'(
You're SO very welcome! Glad this was helpful! Enjoy!
ok so I worked at a coffee shop for seven years. Here is an inside tip/tips.. First you can take your regular coffee pot. Put in about 3 tablespoons really finely ground coffee in the filter thing over a cup and place 3-4 oz of hot water through it. Let it drip completely through it should take about 16 seconds, to get the "proper" espresso shot. Next that whipper thing is amazing! saving money is awesome!
Target sells a much better espresso maker. It's stove top and super easy to clean. Cost is right around 20.00. BIALETTI Moka Express Espresso Maker
I’m buying the frother today thank you for this!! I just picked up the habit of buying lattes about a month ago. I can’t continue to spend this much on a coffee!
I like using flavored syrups... caramel, vanilla etc. :)
Thanks for these tips! My sister bought the Aeropress for me last year as a Christmas gift and now I can finally put some good use to it. I made the decision to stop going to Starbucks a year ago & I'm so glad I can do this stuff at home!
You're so welcome! Enjoy your yummy drinks!
love ya girl. you just saved me $1,000
I enjoyed your video. And the quality is amazing! I bought an Aeropress around the time that you posted your video and I still use it today! It's probably the best $30 that I've ever spent for a coffee related item. Thanks for a great video!
Yay! That's SO awesome to hear! You're most welcome! Happy you enjoyed the video! Thank YOU for watching and for leaving a sweet comment! It sure means a lot! 💖
Love the Aerolatte frother. It isn't much work once you get the hang of it, she is just showing you step by step how to do it. I make them at home often, but I use instant espresso powder.
just an fyi you can purchase syrups directly from your starbucks store. (former employee) and instead of buying a frother you can heat the milk up on the stove and beat it with a whisk. : ) the device you have is just like a french press and those range like $10+ for an even more frugal way. thanks hip2save for all your awesome postings on kcl as well!
These are nothing but simple syrup and flavor. Add vanilla extract to simple syrup or caramel extract. Or vanilla and carmel. Cost maybe .50 cents for a quart. Oh, two cups of sugar.
Awesome! I love my Keurig as well :) Your haircut looks great by the way.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to make expresso well 😭👏🏻
Espresso fam...
Welp, just spent 50 bucks on amazon because of this video! Thanks for the advice. I went with a little bit different milk frother though
You're so welcome! Hope you enjoy your Starbucks Latte at home! 💖🙌☕
You people are serious about your lattes. Lol
not really lol is was joking
I love how realistic your videos are
Thanks for the sweet feedback! Super happy you are enjoying the videos!
Seriously why make hateful comments?? Love this gal and I am excited to try this!! you go girl and don't let the haters get you down!!
Hey I love your vids! I worked at Starbucks for a while. Your espresso shots die between like 5 to 9 secs so you want to put that into the milk almost immediately. Def don't want to let the shots sit for more than 15 secs... Just a tip! Love your videos!
What do you mean by die?? Please explain more..
In italy we have mokas to make coffe, it's a lot easier And faster, you should get one (:
Eli Persi yeahhh moka pot is a pleasure to use ... Love the whole coffee making with moka pot
What about red wine?
You need a thermometer and a timer as well as fresh ground beans with a consistent grind. Without knowing the temperature and the time, the taste can vary wildly.

Thanks. I have been using whole milk, thinking that it would froth fully because of the fat content. However, it barely froths at all. I will get me some 2%.
I have been using the same device for making my coffee. Aero is the best. I grind my coffee until it is a super fine powder. Love coffee with a kick to it.
What kind of syrups did you use? What are you favorite syrups? Thank you! I enjoyed your video.
great video...aeropress great too (own one)...the funnel is actually used for putting the coffee into the aeropress and the aeropress is supposed to be placed right on coffee cup.. more stable that way...the holder you placed the the aeropress on after pressing is actually used for storing filters.. but still good job explaining..
Thanks for the tutorial! Nice job - been researching into this for a few weeks now.
You're very welcome!
Thankyou. Amazing work
You're very welcome! Thanks for the kind comment, Burhan!
THANK YOU! better than Starbucks! (well in my opinion!)
Great video. I bought an Aeropress and will be trying it for the first time tomorrow.
That looks pretty good! Thx, fr sharing! Lol I make the same face you made after tasting ur latte, every morning after I SMELL Coffee! Hahaha
The device is called an Aeropress. Aerobie is the company.
thanks. seeing this after pandemic
You're welcome!
Good video however no way to save $1000 a year unless you get your milk, coffee and syrup all free. Each homemade will cost around $.75, 5 day cost $3.75, yearly cost $195, annual savings $805. I’ll gladly make mine at home from now on. 👍👍
Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts with us, Bill! We sure appreciate it!
We need to do this at home now
Awesome! 🙌
Great way to save money!

This is video is made with amazing quality!
Thanks for the feedback! And thanks for watching! 🙌
Thanks for this video, would love to save my coins! Just wandering what brand of ground espresso you recommend or use that’s close to Starbucks to you?
Honestly I can’t find anything better than the Starbucks espresso beans. I have ordered a lot of different kinds off Amazon and always go back to the espresso beans from Starbucks (I actually think they taste different when bought from the grocery store), so I try & save up my stars to get free bags.
Nice, thank you so much.
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching!
I wonder if it works with reduced fat condensed milk...sounds great Collin thanks for sharing!
lol i was just wondering around espresso makers for lattes and by chance ordered the aeropress before watching this video. :p

For latte don't you pour the milk onto the espresso? :)
Yes.
Exactly
Yes then it would be a capp
Yep. She made a dry latte macchiato. And even at that what she made looks shit
I really like your videos!! Make more soon please! :)
Waiting for ur vids for a while!!...btw is that just a regular syrup or is it flavored!?,
I just fell in Love with You!! Definitely Subscribed. Wow..
If you'd like to take this drink to the next level and make a proper latte, pay attention to the temperature of water as well as use a burr grinder and whole beans.
You should watch some of the Aeropress inverted brewing vids here on YT
Where can I buy the machine that you used for making the espresso and also theb $10 propper?
Hi there! You can find them from Amazon! The espresso maker is here --> amzn.to/2Fl0WgD
The milk frother is here --> amzn.to/2R7bwdO
Can you use this method for cappuccino's also?
Hi Brian! I'm not certain on that. Find all of our other drink recipes over here --> hip2save.com/recipe-type/drinks/
Hope that helps!
How much fluid does the orange and green cups in your video hold?
The problem with these DIY-ers is that they think that cuz you’re at home, it all becomes about preference... the milk measurement to “you’re preference” is incorrect. A latte has a specific milk to espresso ratio, most of the fancy coffee drinks are all the same (milk & espresso) but just with different ratios, a little less milk & a latte becomes a cafe au lait ... same with the amount of foam. A latte should only have like a teaspoon of foam, she just foamed all the milk, basically turning it into a dry cappuccino. Then she added a flavor shot.
This is by no means a latte anymore. What she (and all these other coffee DIY-ers) should title or disclaim in their videos is that they’re showing a LATTE ALTERNATIVE for those who want to save money.
Oh No damn no one cares about how much you know about coffee
Annnnnd, a Snowflake Coffee Nazi clutching their participation trophy.
i'd pay 4 dollars a day to save 20 mins of this , daily!XD
What type of coffee do you use or I mean brand for your latte?
yay!!! another video..awesome I love your videos thanks!!
can you add the links to everything you used today in this video?!
Hi Chloe! You can find the full list of items and the links to the Espresso maker and Milk Frother, over here --> hip2save.com/2013/04/04/video-how-to-make-a-starbucks-latte-at-home-save-yourself-up-to-1000-per-year/
Hope this helps!
Love the frother!! So good!
Thank you! It's super tasty!
It's like South Indian Filter coffee.
The product and method both are very very similar.
Oh neat! Thanks for sharing!
@@hip2save My pleasure.
wow., never knew you could get the machines to make it so cheap.
I want own my own coffee Bussiness
hi, is the aeropress the same thing as a filter coffee maker? can't seem to find one where i live
I make mine simmler but I have no issues with whole milk I like make really high froth like I like 3inch froth as long as flavored froth.... To for chocolate froth add 1tb chocolate syrup. Don't do to much more then that as like chocolate syurp is lil bravery when froth but I have good wand no issues in less use to much chocolate syurp. So I put one tb chocolate syurp in my coffee or more if you want.. add extra syrup to the coffee verse the milk as don't want make to heavy to froth ... if your milk don't seem like frothing anymore might be done frothing. I get rid about 1/4 cup milk after froth but you can turn it into warm chocolate milk for your kid
Bravery spouse be heavy auto correct some reason
Can you put the products in the description
Collin, the way YOU drink coffee, you're going to save a ton of money! :)
good one thanks!
thank you
Do you know if you go to Starbucks a lot you start to think their coffee is good rather than over roasted burnt and bitter coffee that it really is.
All coffee needs to be roasted correctly, unlike what Starbucks does. The two bean types are Arabica and Robusta. All coffee is roasted the same way, the roast master decided where to stop roasting based on frequent samples of the beans as they roast.
I use some of their beans, but prefer to make my own latte's and stuff at home.
Boodieman72 You are somewhat correct - a few of their varieties are overdone, but there are many choices out there for better coffee if you are prepared to pay for it.
I buy whole beans and make my own coffee at home.
Thanks for sharing! 😚😘
Should have left a link to these products
Very nice but you also have to buy the the coffee and all the ingredients so deduct that from $1,000 and what do you have
What brand is your milk frother if you don't mind me asking?
you go to all that trouble and you use pre ground coffee and that item is just like a cafetiere?
So cool.. Where have you been...
That was a helpful video 👍🏻
You are so beautiful. I like the way you explain everything.
The first video actually wasn't ready yet... I had to do a few more edits and accidentally made it live when I was doing so. Sorry about that.
Love this
Im gonna get muscles if i do my coffee like you 😂😂
thanks, great video:):)
Yes, but for that thousand dollars you’re also getting corporate coffee shop ambiance.
This is a cool video
Um. What is that you added from the bottle. You left that part out.
