Dude, you just saved me hundreds of dollars. I love finding RUclips videos that prove everyday people can fix mechanical problems. Mechanic tried to tell me mine was the compressor... thank you so much!
Good job, went right to it. i crisscrossed my lines when i did the intake gasket. You nailed it, mine WAS doing to EXACT same thing. Just in time for summer! *Those plastic lines are so delicate and old, you cant look at them without them breaking. Thanks again!
I have a 2000 V6 and it helped me, my vacuum line coming off of my intake that connects to my firewall was busted, I fixed that line and my vents worked again. Thanks allot!
great job..great video!!!......just an FYI..you can use 3-4 mm OD cohline and 3-4 mm ID silicone hose snippets as junctions to redo these lines..or silicone lines for all and vac couplings..small tie wraps work fine as clamps at the junctions and may not be needed even.. You can pull/fish new cohline for that entire feed line through the firewall by removing the glove compartment. That other line goes into the passenger fender well and is for the WOT purge.
Really appreciate the video man, tired fuses first then checking vacuum lines under the hood and nothing. Followed the one through the fire wall and to right behind the radio to find it being kinked by the radio brace. Starting to get cold in Jersey so the heat is definitely needed.
Great step by step video. Picture quality was great and you made sure you showed exactly what you were talking about in good clear focus. I appreciate that homeboy. Now to fix my 01 GT. Same issue as yours. I'm going through this heatwave in Jersey right now. It sucks as I drive and I'm the part that is leaking in my car. Whew,!!! Thanks again my dude. Great video. ✌️ PEACE..
Darn…this is exactly the information I needed, but I couldn’t watch the video because I have terrible motion sickness. And, listening without watching wasn’t quite doing it. :( I’ll keep trying! :)
Thank you so much your video was definitely helpful it saved me a lot of time and frustration exactly what you did in the video I followed it and sure enough that little line was broke I pulled it out pushed it back in and got AC and heat out of the vents again thank you so much
Very Thankful for your video... Hit the nail right in the head! Excellent explanation and got mine fixed in no time! (I also have a 98 GT and love it!) Kudos!!!
Thanx for the video! My vacuum line wasn't broken, but it was disconnected right next to where your's was broken. Had to have happened when I was trying to move all the garbage tp access cylinder #4 spark plug! Thanx again for the information! I haven't seen any if your other videos yet, but I am subscribing to show my appreciation and incase you have future vids that may be as helpful! Have a Great day, and Good luck with your channel!
I had my valve cover gaskets replacement and the stupid mechanic cut my vacuum line as soon as I left the shop I turn the a/c on and it was stuck coming from the defrost and Drive to the shop I had the a/c on and I carry the car right back to the shop and they want to charge me 1200 hundred dollars to fix the problem and I had to leave my mustang GT overnight I refuse took my car home and look and look and it took me 3 hours to find where they cut it right there where your fingers are pointing next to the throttle body and I fixed it my self
Hey I had the same problem and fixed it but still blowing on defrost. I also checked the line behind the radio. Is there any other info you can to make it blow through the vents. Thanks
the other one goes too bigger vacuum hose between firewall and on back of intake . the one on back of intake manifold runs to a solenoid then too the capped off hose
@@perspers2030 Mine is a 1997 4.6l so mabey alittle different .. if your EGR valve is not working properly and any vacuum leaks will make the engine run hotter
Juan Manuel Tafolla Not sure about the v6. Maybe look around the firewall where the heater core hoses go into the cabin. Its a real little tube. Or look at all your vacuum lines because it is a vacuum line. Hope that helps
Only thing i can think of is to make sure its all connected to the manifold too and no leaks cause it is a vacuum line. Any cracks in the line at any point will mess it up. Hope that helps
5 years later and it's still very useful information. Thanks so much.

@@perspers2030 Mine is a 1997 4.6l so mabey alittle different .. if your EGR valve is not working properly and any vacuum leaks will make the engine run hotter
Ben Gordon Good info to know thanks!!!
Anyone know where I can buy that hose? 👀👀👀
I have a Ford Mustang 2008 v6, but I can't find that tube. Help!!!
Juan Manuel Tafolla Not sure about the v6. Maybe look around the firewall where the heater core hoses go into the cabin. Its a real little tube. Or look at all your vacuum lines because it is a vacuum line. Hope that helps
