My Dad just walked away from his Ford dealer last week and purchased his FIRST Chevy since 1984. The dealer would not buy his 2019 F150 at an acceptable price & would not negotiate on a new one. Chevy gave him$8k more on his trade in and then a great deal on a 4x4 Silverado.

The real reason Ford stopped building Ford Broncos is because people were buying them new and taking them offroad all over the US and abusing the heck out of them, more than they were designed for. Therefore the dealers are seeing this abuse and refusing to fix the mass of them coming to dealers for major repairs. They are a great offroad vehicles, but too many of them are being abused beyond their limits, as is also happening to new Jeeps. Carvana/carmax has tons of them. Returned leases or repos from all the morons that bought them for $15k over MSRP. Most have less than 5k miles on them, save a few thousand anyway. They had like 40 of them as of Friday.
My 2001 escape with 131k miles still runs and looks great...it's roughly 90% self serviceable for me and parts are cheap and plentiful.
No computer crap, and the 3.0 liter duratech not hard to work on.
I'm sure it'll go another coupla years. To hell with the new crap
Agree, had my 2005 Escape limited AWD for 18 years, parts cheap, and easy to work on. I wish I could buy a new one like it but nothing new is better. Bought a 2015 Jeep Rubicon unlimited to replace it this year, frame in rear all rotted, wish I had my old Escape, but be smart and undercoat it when new, wax oil.
They charge so much more for the Heritage, I can’t believe they can’t make the extra effort to make them. I love my 2022 Bronco
Classic Ford was way better than the Ford we have today.
Way to Go F O R D !!!! MIGHT AS WELL GO OUT OF BISNESS !!!!! I' LL KEEP MY TOYOTA !!!!
I’m 70 years old. I’ve had Ford’s, Chevy’s, and many Dodges. The last Dodge I had was a 2009. Exhaust bolts kept breaking. The engine had 87,000 miles but the ran fine. The body was rotting out. Traded it in for a 2018 Tundra. I think this truck will out live me. Best I’ve ever had!
When I was in Portugal I saw a protected bike lane next to the traffic. If you tried to run over a bicyclist you'd wreck your car! 😂
@@harveyhankerson8359 I drive a Chevy now with 400k+ miles BUT these new trucks are so overpriced and Maxed out that, if he was in his upper 80’s and just buying for him, he wanted 40k trade in. The Ford guy was 5k low, the Chevy guy was 2.5k above. He’s blown away with his new Silverado with drive, comfort & CARPLAY etc!
Ummm chevy is crap too😮
Thank you Scotty for sharing your wisdom with us!
Stopping production will solve this current abuse of these vehicles, especially in the state of Utah.
Nope, it is that these new Broncos are absolutely piles of poorly designed and built junk.
My brother and I had a talk about Ford cars last year. We see them everywhere and yet, Ford drop them saying that they aren't selling any. They just didn't want to sell them. They would rather sell something that has a higher profit margin. That is it! If Ford could get into any other market and drop automobiles, they would. They don't have any passion for what they do any more.
I was watching an episode of Barnaby jones in the middle of the night last week and he was driving the nicest little Ford Bronco. They've been around a while.
I met a older guy, Jackson Hole WY: 2020 summer. He had a cool 1974 blue, white roof Ford Bronco 4x4. He said the Bronco held up great. In WY, ID, Montana too! 🏞 . Great vehicle. I took a few pics.
Never could figure out what the big deal was about a Bronco
@@davidmann4533 hint, O.J. Simpson 🤣
@@davidmann4533 I've always just owned sedans but I did like the look. I would never buy a new Ford anything.
@@davidmann4533 It was the first commercial littlediq compensator.
Once upon a time, when I didn’t know better, I bought a new 92 Taurus. The only thing good about it was the 3 liter V-6. Everything else was crap. It was the last Ford I will ever purchase. 😡😬😳
The 3.0 motor was great.
I had a 2006 RAV4 4-cylinder that would burn a quart of oil every thousand miles
We have hundreds of miles of wide paved bike trails linking several cities here where I live in Michigan..
Screwed up state with a screwed up Governor !
PREACH IT SCOTTY , PREACH IT!!
Scotty says that we don’t need trains. All we need is the 1994 Celica.
Swingin' Scotty.........lov ya man!
I have stock in Ford. They do make good trucks . My son has a 2022 F-150 with the Coyote engine and loves it.
Yes, new. It will not stay new long. Wait till that engine goes due to plastic parts . Those things self destruct before 100k.
@@scottfirmanThe 5 liter coyote is a excellent engine, I will agree with you the four cylinder turbo is junk. Have a great day.
One of the few swimmers left out of an otherwise sinking ship......the 5.0 Coyote V8 is a masterpiece of an engine. It'll be a sad day when Ford decides to kill it off.
@@scottfirmanmany and some later model engines will far exceed miles than an older engine from 30 years ago…..I’ve seen quite a few gas engines with well over original 300,000 miles….much of it is maintaining a vehicle properly.
@markcole6475 NOT even close to being true today. Cam phasers failing left and right. Cams wearing out prematurely, electrical issues galore. Face it , Parts are no longer produced by Ford, they do this to make money because it's cheaper importing parts. Those parts have no quality and fail way before 300k. What you say is true, on a 1983 Chevy or Ford. Do not expect that on a 2023 vehicle. It doesn't happen.
Remember, Henry Ford hated innovation. He was forced to build past the model T
Ya he was such an ego maniac he didn't want to believe that a car could be better than his original design.
@@danielbonner8309 You guys know he pushed his engineers to the v-8?
Actually I think he locked them up till they solved it.
@@timewa851 I didn't know that. One of the documentaries I watched on him, by the first half you loved the guy, by the second half you hated him. A lot of those figures that we praise for their achievements were pretty ruthless in how they got them.
The 1937 Ford is perfect.
No further advances are needed
I changed multiple transfer cases on the 2022's. They installed new transmissions that messed up transfer cases....the big three are braindead.
We have a lot of abandoned railroads in this country there's your new bike pass
21 years of owning my Toyota, my neighbors who are loyal Ford owners just bought a Toyota Camry.
I guess me driving by their house for the last 15 years past their house with the same car finally it dawned on them to stop buying multiples of Fords.
And the only car is Mustang. We'll, Why do others have a least 3 cars in addition to truck and suv. Look at Honda, one truck? I've been Ford guy since 1967 but next vehicle is not going to be Ford, GM, or Dodge/Chrysler Jeep, Hyundai or Kia,or Tesla. Thank goodness I just narrowed my field of choices. Keep um coming Scotty.
You’re wrong about trains Scotty . Royal Scotty
Yesterday I went to a Geely dealership, and their cars are better built than any Ford I have ever been in.
used to be a delivery driver for dominos Id deliver on the bike in zero degree weather. most of the time I end up at someones house and the pozzas already cold that heat technology is just insulation, which doesnt have a very high r value. they go like 28 miles an hour and are way more dangerous than driving.
You always nail it Scotty.
With boring swill.
Ford used nostalgia to sell the new Bronco, hoping people would remember the reliable and popular 1968 version when buying the modern version. Sadly, these people were failed by Ford.
New Bronco is crap, yet people still want to buy them. Amazing
The 80s and 90s Broncos were quite reliable and useful, too.
I had a 1990 OJ looking bronco and it was awesome but gutless. My new Bronco is awesome and too fast for what it is I do not agree that they failed me I am quite happy
Exactly about the bikes.
Have been a loyal Ford customer for 30 years, due to POOR QUALITY of all the new models, I will never purchase another Ford.
Dealer in Des Moines has half a dozen heritages on the lot.
Scotty, the trains are so we don't need cars, we'll travel in trains that travel through huge pipes... just like sewage
Yeah, when? In who's life time? The government controls the rail service as they do the Automobile industry, thats what they do not work anymore. They DESTROY every business they touch.
Farley is on Harley Davidsons board of directors too and look how screwed up they are. Farleys destroys whatever he touches.

There is a honda civic with 1.5 turbo on youtube with over 600,000 miles and turbo is still good.
Great video
Scotty I get you’re trying to bring awareness but I don’t care personally. You can and that’s fine. I enjoy seeing your videos on fixing cars I’m not saying you’re not wrong, but at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter.
