always excited to see a new fishingmad video! 🎉
Awesome !! Thanks and enjoy the episode
Gday mate, I got suggested to you from someone else, I’ve got a yak and wanna do some salt water fishing and now I know where to come for guidance, we’re travelling Aus and I’ve got no bluddy idea about salt water fishing,
Tight lines bro 🎣
Yet another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks heaps !!
Well done brother, fantastic.
Thank you kindly!
Awesome. 🐟🐟🐟
Thanks 👍
Awesome session bloke
Thank you !!
I cant wait to get out tomorrow
Enjoy the public holiday !!
Great work, you certainly make it look easy. Have you ever tried circle hooks as the stinger?
Thanks !! Nah I havent tired that but agree it would be worth giving a go. Good news is 99% of the time the stinger gets pined on the side and easily removed
@@fishingmad I also notice that you seem to use braid for the stinger hook, have you tried flurocarbon but found braid is better ?
great stuff again Alan
Glad you enjoyed it, Thank you
G'day Alan what size hooks do you use for the turtle back singer and the brand please great videos, I'm going to have a go for FGs of the beach cheers look forward to hearing from you.
I get the rigs made by Jason at On the edge lures, they are usually tt headlocks 1/12 with an additional eyelet welded in and 80mm of leader to a small hook
Love it alan quick question do you run the assist hook from the bottom eyelet and then thread the hook through the top or bottom of the worm
Hi Alan, I was wondering if you could tell me any good spots for King George whiting along the port Phillip bay that me and my dad could bring our kayaks to, thanks!
There are so many good spots, st leonards, geelong, point wilson. tootgarook, blairgowrie, rye, much of this is documented in the fishingmad members area with launch maps and marks. Cheers
Great stuff mate great feed there always a lot of fun on the light gear and plastics how do you rig the extra hook on there? Cheers mate
Thanks !! It sure is. Have a look at this vid which shows how I rig up for them ruclips.net/video/flPqbfnnMsY/видео.html hope that helps
😂 local tackle shop said they sold out of the soft plastic worms shortly after this video
LOL I know I have had so many tackle stores write to me over the years saying they sell out of turtlebacks every time I post a vid with them, shame I never ever hear from Berkley ( they get so much free advertising from the channel )
Yep, first one today
Awesome, Enjoy the vid !!
Would be good to see the rig set up your using as u drift over the reeds.
I have covered this on previous vids so I didn't want to repeat the same content, you can see the setup and technique on this vid here ruclips.net/video/flPqbfnnMsY/видео.html I hope that helps. We also have vids in our members area on how to create your own rigs and advanced techniques.
Hey mate when could you do another carp fishing sesh vid
Yeah, it has been a while since doing some carp content. We always get really funny comments and stuff from viewers when we cover carp. That water temp is really dropping know Carp fish a lot better in the warmer months, so ill put it on the radar for some time soon
@@fishingmad oh ok thx to hear
Nice going, when did you gout out to film this episode?
Was filmed at the end of last week, the whiting fishing will be great for another month or two
Alan, I have a really good question. What kayak do you recommend that you can paddle with the blades by peddling it like a bike?Thank you
Have a look at this article I wrote which details all the yaks we have used fishingmad.com.au/article/fishing-kayak-buyers-guide-2024 in kayaking you tend to get what you pay for in terns of stability. Its really hard to go past a hobie, if you can find one 2nd hand on marketplace or the likes is a great way to go something like a compass, Outback, or Pro Angler.
Nice when was this filmed
Was filmed last week. Cheers
How long is the rod. Love you video
The rod is 6 foot 10 inch which is perfect.
What’s the soft plastic worm rig you’re using?
Have a look at this vid which shows the plastic and how I rig up for them ruclips.net/video/flPqbfnnMsY/видео.html hope that helps
are the T-curves more sensitive than the zodias?
Id say the T-Curve, T-Curve Prem and Zodias are very similar, the expride however is much more sensitive and more light weight.
what rod was it the one you were using
Shimano Expride 6"10 2-4kg ( 4-8lb ) ML hope that helps
Nice one Alan - I think I can guess, but can you share the location in the members section?
Yeah it sure does, we have weekly reports for PPB, WP, Land based, estuary and freshwater which covers all the areas we fish. The FishingMad RUclips channel has shared so many locations and techniques over the years, but the members area provides a lot more detail and insight.
