@Sarcastic dude I agree, they did. On another scene, I still think it's sorta funny how during the Jurassic Park/Itchy Scratchy land sequence, the helicopter announcer says "..where nothing can possiblie go wrong...possi-BLY go wrong..that's the first thing that's ever gone wrong", what makes it funnier are the Simpsons' expressions when he did that, kinda showing the uncomfortable feeling one would get when they're with someone who's supposed to be in charge but who makes such a dumb little grammer error and while taking them somewhere that they're now sensing having second thoughts about. It's funny the way they mirrored that in the scene. And the Simpsons' intuition about something being off about Itchy and Scratchy land turned out to be right because look what happened to them there in the episode
I had a feeling that the Simpsons were making a lot of movie and tv references, it's just that I didn't see some of them, but it's easy to tell that they are making a reference to something.
@@elliel3700 Don't be daft. The point of the comment was to show that it *was not* a movie reference, but rather a reference to the painting by M.C Escher. But I'm still on the fence with that. It might be either/or. Idk.

Keep it in your pants. It's not a big deal that people have watched movies before....
I only watch that video and I begin to miss the old Simpsons series, I want them come back, since Conan O'Brien left the show, nothing is the same, saludos desde México y buen vídeo ✌🏻👍🏻
I agree totally! Conan was the best joke writer they had. They're ok now but back then they were hilarious! "Maybe I shouldn't have eaten that packet of powdered gravy I found in the parking lot."
My favorite movies in part 6. 0:35 Fugitive (1993), 1:14 Jurassic franchise (1993, 1997, 2001, 2015, 2018 and 2021), 1:23 Fantasia franchise (1940 and 2000), 2:18 Few Good Men (1992), 2:31 Planet of the Apes (2001 remake), 2: 49 Die Hard franchise (1988, 1990, 1995, 2007 and 2013), 2:54: Little Mermaid franchise (2008, 1989 and 2000), Nutty Professor franchise remake (1996 and 2000), 3:17 Home Alone franchise (1990, 1992, 1997, 2003 and 2012), 3:31 Indiana Jones franchise (1981, 1984, 1989, 2008 and 2021), 4:09 James Bond franchise, 4:54 Batman (1989, 1992, 1995 and 1997), 5:03 Three Musketeers (1993), 5:45 Lady and the Tramp franchise (1955 and 2001), 5:58 101 Dalmatians franchise (1961 and 2003), 6:11 Lion King franchise (1994, 2004 and 1998), 6:39 Speed franchise (1994 and 1997), 6:50 Mad Max franchise (1980, 1982, 1985 and 2015).
3:27 - I remembered at the time of the film Inception and the reference of the Penrose stairs. I have to watch this film Labyrinth (1986). Great Video! Thank You!
Under S06E20 (Two Dozen and One Greyhounds) you missed Beauty and the Beast (1991). They have the "See My Vest" singing sequence which is a satire of "By My Guest" song from that movie.
Nah, its definitely a reference to the Wizard of Oz. Homer's speech is identical to the Wicked Witch's speech when she melts ("I'm melting, meeeelting! Oh, what a world!")
I wouldn't say that the couch-gag you credit to the Labyrinth is accurate. As it's actually not inspired by the film, but M.C Escher's litograph, Relativity. Which is also were Labyrinth got the idea, obviously. The staff behind it on the Simpsons credit it to Escher themselves as well.
Are these like confirmed references? Some of them seem a bit far fetched, like the explosion in 2:48, it's just an explosion, no skyscraper or anything else to link it to Die Hard. And 3:17 Abe's just screaming? There's a lot of movies where people scream holding their hands on their cheeks
The one where Abe's screaming is definitely a reference to Home Alone, just reversed. In Home Alone, the family is on the plane when they realize they have forgotten Kevin at home. In The Simpsons, the family just got home, when they realize they have forgotten Grandpa on the plane.
Movies on here I've seen so far: The Fugitive, The Wizard of Oz, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Fantasia, Pinocchio, The Birds, Citizen Kane, Planet of the Apes, The Silence of the Lambs, Die Hard, The Little Mermaid, The Nutty Professor, Home Alone, North by Northwest, Raiders of the Lost Ark, James Bond, Back to the Future, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Batman, The Three Musketeers, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King, and Goldfinger.
4:54 - I thought, and I think some others have thought too that this scene of a fully bandaged face being unraveled to see how he now looked was reference to 1960 Twilight zone episode "Eye of the beholder". But they're not wrong here, it also referenced The Joker in "Batman"
Most of what I know about movie history I learned through The Simpsons! They did such a great job of parodying while at the same time paying homage.
The old Simpson writers had an insane knowledge of classic films
"You must avenge my death Kimba-I MEAN-Simba."
Woooow Simpsons calling that out for years XD
Those Future-predictors even knew about the Kima/Lion King ripoff controversy. Of course they would. =P
Your comment did not age well.
@Sarcastic dude I agree, they did.

for two reasons. 1 they're running out of stuff to make reference to, 2 there's nothing GOOD lately to make reference to.

The Lion King one was a two for one
Kimba the White Lion.

The staircase thing is not a reference to Labyrinth. It's a reference to MC Escher, which Labyrinth was also referencing.
