Nice Video and good to see that the HTC XR Elite getting some improvements! You should do something like Casey Neistat where you walk through a big city with passthrough and the headset on your head. You could sit somewhere, watch a video, interview people or travel by train and another person films you and how the people around you react. It would show how similar (or not similar) the HTC XR Elite is to the Apple Vision Pro. It is also very funny to see what people on the street think about it. Maybe you could even do it with the face tracker attached, so it looks even more stupid. :D

I haven't tested out the tongue tracking, but I would assume it has the full range of motion? Thank you for your work! So sad that they seem unable to make well padded face gaskets. I wonder if the spot where you can see sharp increases with the tracker because for me it is about 40% of my view where I can read things so moving my eyes is pointless. If that does not improve, the padding as you stated in the comments, is not improved and there is not much you can use the eye tracking for gameswhise I see no point in getting this.
I completely agree. I think this is something I can use, because I want to try to make unreal projects that use eye tracking, Since I think most future headsets will be using eye tracking, but I by no means think someone should get this headset for this module, and I'm not even sure someone with an XR Elite should get this module unless they plan to use it for development. @@VirtualRook are you connected to the headset through wifi, or direct usb connection to the pc? i have the face tracker and have done the calibation and it detects it, but when trying to use it in vrchat with an avatar that supports vrcft nothing happens with enabling/disabling all the different options. i was under the impression that you needed to install a bunch of extra programs including running vive sranipal etc
Hello! Did you have to get any addtional software on pc to make the face tracking to work on vrhcat? I know a few other headset need this to passthrpough the data so vrchat can recognise it all.
So to clarify, this only works on the PC version of VR chat? I thought I had read somewhere that Vive claimed that their face tracker should work natively on the XR elite’s Standalone version of vr chat, I can’t seem to get it to Work on the standalone version though…
Hello! I currently have this headset and it is extremely uncomfortable for me. The face gasket doesnt touch my face on the sides and all the pressure goes entirely on my nose and forehead. Does this seem to help make the xr elite more comfortable?
Sadly no, although it does cover more of the side of your face, I would argue it pinches your nose more. Have you added the top strap to try to put more of the weight on the top of your head?
@@VirtualRook I may try that. However my nose just happens to be too large to allow the headset to not put all of its weight on it haha. I need to tighten the headset very tight as I do breakdancing in VR

I sadly have never used the Rift S, but from what I hear Meta is not really supporting the Rift S, so I would steer clear of it. The Vive at least is still getting support, but the quality of their software is just "ok".... so It's up to you really.

Did you have to install any additional programs for the tracking?
Only the XRE streaming software, it handled receiving the face tracking data. So as long as you have their pc streaming program you should be good!

Make sure you have the vive streaming hub installed, and I believe you need VRCFaceTracking. But that should be all you need to install
