+Abnel Hidalgo You mean, "most jazz bands do not march". This one does. Centerville's marching band has been called the "Jazz Band" for at least 35 years, I think, and done very well for themselves in the process, including a national championship in 1992.
way back when our high school was well known for incorporating jazz music with our marching band shows so that was the reason for the name, though we don't always play jazz now.
The reference is to the Colts football helmet logo in the middle of the field, which in this case is covered by a "Route 66" tarp. And the reason is presumably that the band thinks the helmet is ugly and/or likes to have the field reflect their show.
Encyclopedist Jeez. Thing is though is that they're our school's rival, and they did the same thing on our field during their post-show performance covering the F for Fairmont :/
Encyclopedist See I can get with it since their tarp expands out to other parts of the field but just my personal opinion I think they could've stuck the route 66 tarp anywhere on the field and still look proportional. Our band this year was gonna have a skyscraper prop in the center of the field but decided not to since many fields have logos and I guess they just find it a little disrespectful. To each their own though.
Well, all I can say is I've never heard of anyone finding it disrespectful to use a tarp, even if it covers the host's logo. Certainly the judges don't feel that way! Anyway, thanks for a polite conversation, and best wishes.
Looking back this is probably the best sounding and blended hornline and cohesive show that Centerville has put on in the last decade. Good show!
Wowie I’m a senior 0-0
I remember watching this show in 2013 while my sister was on the field- color guard member with red hair

Where are the baritones?
Liam the Marching Band Guy we stopped marching baritones about ten years ago but this year they are back
Baritones were used up until the 2012 season ("With a Twist"), starting again in the 2018 season [SPOILERS REDACTED].
Might die next year... we are most likely doing this show for our show next year and it’s about 4 minutes longer than our show this year 😂😭😂
9:15 I’m bouts to throw hands 😤 he’s stepping on a silk! 😤😤😂
It was in his way though...
Nice lol
There could have been more swing in the arrangement. I guess this is subjective though.
how tf is this a jazz band??!!!
+Abnel Hidalgo because we play jazz music, it is not a jazz ensemble though!
then call it "wannabe jazz band that plays jazz but is actually a marching band?"
Ok ok ok.. It's still a marching band :-/ because last time I checked jazz bands DO NOT MARCH

Why do they always cover up the helmet..

Well, have a look at, for instance, this video, by an entirely different band, who also covers up the logo:
