    WOWOWOWOOW!!!! Great views coming in. Right now, it's cooler in Maui than in so many places in the Continental US. Anyhow, time for me to rest of from the jet lag after watching this. My GF and I are going to the outdoor summer concert this afternoon. I'll rest up from the jet lag at the park.

    Hey SP, incredible video as always. You make it look so easy. Lately, I have been flying and taking these in-flight videos with only a iPhone is not easy. I am amazed at how consistent your video quality is and the amount of content you release. Thank you my friend, I appreciate that. I have worked really hard to consistently have the best quality content. I'm always appreciative when that's recognized and when people acknowledge that it's not so easy haha. I get a lot of comments to the tune of "oh must be so nice to just fly all over the place." And they have no idea how much work actually goes into it. That it's not all just fun jet setting everywhere. So thanks my friend! I really do appreciate that!

    I especially enjoy flying on Hawaiian Airlines during the month of March. In Hawai`i, March is `Ōlelo Hawai`i (Hawaiian language) month. Hawaiian Airlines designate select flights as `Ōlelo Hawai`i flights. The entire flight crew - attendants and pilots - are fluent in `ōlelo Hawai`i, and they address passengers in hawaiian after which english translation is spoken.
    E ola mau i ka `ōlelo Hawai`i.
    Long live Hawaiian language.

    Great fly! Have you heard the airfare price went down thanks to inflation going down to 3%, the lowest since pre-pandemic and gas prices also went down? What do you think? For reference, the August 2022 US inflation was 8.2%.

    • @sla31

    Hello. Why do you always upload the flights so much time later after the actual flight?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well, I don't always. I often times upload flights pretty quickly after I take them. On the other hand, I do sometimes sit on footage for quite awhile before I post it. The reason why is because I have to have a lot of footage in backlog to keep up with daily uploads. If I only had a few videos in backlog, I'd never be able to post daily because when I travel to get footage I'd have nothing to post. So, I sit on a lot of backlog to cover for when I'm traveling. Basically, it's just so I don't run out of things to post.

    Did you hear Hawaiian airlines is adding the 787 to their fleet? Hopefully you can be one of the first on it.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  10 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, I hope to fly it as soon as they enter service. The potential downside is that Hawaiian Airlines is notorious for wanting all passengers to close their window shades. They make multiple announcements on every flight about "enhancing everyone's flight experience flight" by keeping the cabin pitch black... It's very annoying and as someone who not only needs the window open to film, but someone who enjoys having a window seat to have the window open, they make you feel guilty about not closing them. So, my fear is that because the 787 windows can be controlled by the crew, the crew will just always lock them out so people can't use them. I spend a lot of my own money on these flights and the reason I don't fly 787's in general is because I can't spend all this money one flights just to have the windows locked out so I can't film. Hopefully Hawaiian crews won't do that.

    • @TomatoSandwich39
      @TomatoSandwich39 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@sla31oh wow that's news to me! I wasn't aware the crew could force the windows to black out. I'd definitely not fly the 787 if that were the case. 😨

    • @sla31
      @sla31  10 месяцев назад +4

      @@TomatoSandwich39 yup, sadly the crew can auto dim all the windows at once and then lock them so you can’t control it. United and American had so many complaints from passengers that they told their crews they had to leave the windows in passenger control, but sometimes they still do it 😩. Since Hawaiian is so big on announcing that people should close their windows, I’m afraid they’ll just lock them and not care what the passengers think 😩.

      Ears probably hurt on descent

    • @sla31
      @sla31  10 месяцев назад +4

      It important to remember what others have already stated. We were all kids once. And no one can say they never had outbursts, because that's one way that small children use to alert their parents that something is wrong. Remember, that small kids can't verbalize what they need. Sometimes when traveling, where schedules are all messed up, it can be hard as a parent to realize exactly what they need. And remember that small children can't clear the pressure in their ears like adults can. Often times children are fussy during takeoff and landing because their ears hurt. It's annoying. It is. Even as a parent I admit that it's annoying. But... It's life. There's nothing you can do about it, expect sympathize for the child and parents. So, IMO it's not something worth getting upset over. Now, there's a difference between a small child who is in pain or needs something and an older child who's just being bratty. Most of the time though, it's the first option. Anyway, thanks for watching everyone!
