Very grateful for the tripod - hand-held may sometimes be necessary for really hard to film things, but fixed is much, much better. I think this length is better. I like the explanations of what you are doing, and explanations of the set-up and work-holding. A bit of machining sometimes rounds out the picture, but by and large turning of an o.d. doesn't add much - but nice to know what you've drilled, reamed or bored, and how, and how you tapped or threaded, and things like how you set up for the angle of the steam ports are very interesting and probably need to show the drilling to make it all clear. Music I can live without, but Beethoven is pleasant enough so no major complaint. I think you've got the balance just about right with this one. Thanks for posting the video, I look forward to the remainder of the series.
Thank you - I think the tripod definitely has paid for itself already. I will only be playing music (if at all) during the fast forward sequences, and I will try to keep it tasteful. I will also take on board your advice for mostly filming the interesting parts, rather than every single operation. For example, the use of the parting tool on the cylinder heads/etc.

yes the steam ports are tricky when a lot of work as been done to get to that stage, don't want to ruin all that work,
i'm certainly no expert on videoing, but you'll never please all of the viewers all of the time that's for certain, e.g. some like music, some hate it!!!! ive found that out.
Nice to see the proper vernier scale being used, expect you will be getting the slide rule out next!!!!!, however you need the eyesight to match, thats the only reason i tend to use digital. but i'm all for old school methods.
Workshop looks like its evolving well, that said though any workshop never stops evolving.

I must admit I have to go for my optivisor whenever the vernier gets used - but it is a hard thing to beat. I think my favourite measuring tool is my vernier height gauge, I don't really show that enough! I'm pleased with my workshop, but it has a huge deficit when it comes to soldering and brazing - I think that will be the next big challenge after the Stuart... maybe I could ask your advice on your silver soldering setup (equipment, flux, solder, hearth, etc. when you have time?)

I use ("easyflo" flux and s/solder ) there are other brands i would imagine just as good, but it can be expensive on any large jobs, i think many of my modelling friends use Polly Engineering in long eaton, notts for their stock, but i have no experience in using them, so shop around. I just use soft solder on water tanks and the like and anything non boiler related or strength related!!
The hearth i just use fire bricks individually or set in a small steel frame.

I think your style of video was fine... but as Mr. F said it is unlikely you will please everyone all of the time... I believe viewers are less tolerance of poor sound rather than the odd wobble of the camera... Keep up the good work.

I don't think I'm going to set myself up with a lapel mic for the sake of these videos, I think that might be going a bit far - but I will try to use my proper microphone in my house for voice-overs/etc. going forward - thank you for the helpful comment and advice.
