So glad you mentioned the Sentry torch. This is a great item form the Mountaintops of the Giants in order to deal with the Black Knife Assassin's just before getting to the Haligtree! I've seen people on various forums struggling with this area, and the torch helps out so much. It's invaluable for that area - without it...it would be sooo much harder! I was lucky to have it with me on my first play-through. Another great video btw Dom!
As a Souls veteran who likes to get as close to 100% as possible on my first run through with each game (I call it Soul Story Mode, where I use every advantageous summon and cheese I can to see all story elements and read as many item descriptions as I can) before I start my challenge runs, I cannot recommend this series enough. I'm still on my first run (about 160 hrs so far, playing since release, because I can really only play on the weekends), and even though I try to fully explore each area before hitting the wiki and such, every one of these videos so far has shown me at least one thing that I completely missed. THANK YOU DOM. YOU ROCK.

My tip for beating those night time bell bearing mini boss pricks as melee: stay close to them at all times. They usually always do 3 hit combos, there's one ending in a stab that's really easy to see and dodge and you can get some hits in before they attack again. You can also attack after they do the ground shield slam attack but be careful because sometimes they will do a delayed follow up explosion. They also have a VERY delayed grab where they walk at you for like 3 seconds, make sure you wait to dodge cuz if you dodge too early they track you and get you. Staying far away lets them do their long range attacks which are much more harder to dodge and punish.
Nah, easiest way is to ride away on your horse and use arrows. Every single one has dumbass AI and if you get far away but not too far, they just walk back and forth

Something I've noticed to make the invisible moving scarabs really easy, glintblade phalanax (not sure how to spell it, the swords that float around you and home on an enemy that gets too close) will actually hit the scarab when it gets near

Something to be aware of is that that area with the Abductor Virgin in the Sealed Tunnel will sometimes glitch, and block you from being able to climb the ladder back up. As there's no other way back or onwards, and dungeons block Fast Travel until you beat their boss, this forces you to Memory of Grace to get out. I don't know how common or rare this bug is (or if it's been patched) as I've only ever actually been there once (in my first playthrough; haven't had a chance to start my second yet).

I had no problem with Elemer of the Briar. I got my ass kicked by the Bell Bearing Hunters in Liurnia, Leyndell, and Caelid (I fought all three of those at lv100+). I still haven't fought the easiest one in Limgrave.
I have to aggree!! I am over level 100, and he still kills everytime i get him. SOD! The one in Limgrave was not too bad as well as the one at the turtle pope.
When platforming, it's sometimes better to roll off the cliffs instead of jumping. Rolling usually lets you fall directly below, while jumping can sometimes send you slightly too far
I think the trick with the Ball Bearing Hunter is to be very aggressive. I got him down to 25% HP before he even hit me once, so I thought he was a joke. Then when he did hit me, he did a ton of damage, I got scared and ran off, but his range and attack speed are insane. I think the way to go is to just stay close and wail on him.

I'd just like to say, I enjoy your content. I'm not nearly...anywhere near good, or an expert at this game -- You mentioned those two tree sentinels...the way I did it...was...from like...inside the doors, by the grace...I coaxed the one on the left out...near the grace...fought and killed him normally...(To me, it's always easiest on horseback)...Anyway...then...when you go back in...the second one is just chilling...you can sneak up on him and hit him with poison mist...he'll never move...you can keep doing it until he dies. The other tree sentinel, too...that...I think...guards the part to get into lower Leyndell...you can coax him, also...just attack...run away...then return....he will have returned to his original place, or slightly off...anyway...you can sneak up and do the same thing to him with the poison mist...I have actually poison misted a bunch of things in this way...

Just a little trick for those who struggled with Margot mini boss. You can actually cheese him. Approach him until he transform, run all the way back on your ways back at the beginning of the street, he would follow you but will teleport back before he get there. Bow, arrow, pot, dart whatever you got, throw at him from distance and he be dead in no time, rot and poison plus ice make fast work.
while i dont think anyone shoudl spend hard earned money giving to tubers, your channel is a good one, and if you continue down this path, your channel will be a huge source for gamers
1. Tree Sentinals you can cheese there is a spot at the right you can hop onto using torrent and just range them. 2. Death bird you can cheese as ranged as well if you Zone him out between the 2 tombs right before where he spawns he wont follow ( almost all death birds and most bosses have this issue run far enough and they will revert back to their starting area ) 3. Bell bearing if magic you can use the Rune spell to boost your comet azure and just pop flask. pop the rune well before the shack but just enough so you are not running back far when he spawns and just pop ur flask and cast comet azure. soak the 1st hit because it will do maybe 90% of his health. if using jellyfish shield might even kill him
Best Elden ring you tuber! TIP FOR BELl BEARING HUNTER! I struggled and found it really easy if I stayed in touching distance of him. He only has 3 swing attacks and a shield slam so quite easy to dodge this way! Good luck
I’ve been following your whole playlist, trying to get every item before I start ng+. Awesome work on this series. One question, (probably a stupid one) should I do the “outskirts” before the capital? The main capital video is before this one and I had to cheese the tree sentinels because I was getting cooked by them lol just want to make sure before I start this video!
I found that Bell Bearing Hunters are extremely weak to Rot Grease if you guys want to try that. I also put damage negation in my psychic. Those two things have helped me beat Bell Bearing Hunters as a melee character greatly.
I was able to take him out easily because I got of a few good hits while he was spawning in, and then his first attack was a shield slam, and a jump attack staggered him, so after that, he was on less than 1/3 health. A couple attacks later, he was dead.
Those bell bearing Hunter attacks can be blocked with a good Shield quite easy, but our host seems to dislike shields , honestly didn't have much trouble fighting him and I think I was about Lv 28 at the time running a Knights build sword and shield and a lance , I would also like to mention horse combat and the talisman that makes your attacks stronger when riding Torrent which is another Way I've beaten the death Birds

7:30 - I ran away from the BB Hunter to remove aggro, snuck around the right side to the back of the shack, and poisoned him through the wall ;)

I fought one of these guys at the church of vows. He was a prick. All I got was meat. Seriously meat! I wasted about 45 mins trying to beat him.

For me, the Bell Bearing Hunter in Caelid was the worst of them all, even worse than Elemer of the Briar. That guy is an absolute truck
That one is actually the strongest one. It does the most damage and I think the most health even.

I camped the roof and used Night Maiden’s Mist to kill him by luring him around! It was such a struggle.

Backstepping is even more effective than rolling
i learned to do rolling in the Dark souls games... and jump almost always gets you into trouble..
Good tip I learned just recently is that if you use Margit's shackle in dungeons and areas with invisible doors, it will remove all of them

At 10:20, instead of jumping over the roots, you can drop down from the platform on the side.
But be ready to dodge away from the explodey balls.

1. Tree Sentinals you can cheese there is a spot at the right you can hop onto using torrent and just range them. 2. Death bird you can cheese as ranged as well if you Zone him out between the 2 tombs right before where he spawns he wont follow ( almost all death birds and most bosses have this issue run far enough and they will revert back to their starting area ) 3. Bell bearing if magic you can use the Rune spell to boost your comet azure and just pop flask. pop the rune well before the shack but just enough so you are not running back far when he spawns and just pop ur flask and cast comet azure. soak the 1st hit because it will do maybe 90% of his health. if using jellyfish shield might even kill him

Best Elden ring you tuber! TIP FOR BELl BEARING HUNTER! I struggled and found it really easy if I stayed in touching distance of him. He only has 3 swing attacks and a shield slam so quite easy to dodge this way! Good luck

I found that Bell Bearing Hunters are extremely weak to Rot Grease if you guys want to try that. I also put damage negation in my psychic. Those two things have helped me beat Bell Bearing Hunters as a melee character greatly.

I was able to take him out easily because I got of a few good hits while he was spawning in, and then his first attack was a shield slam, and a jump attack staggered him, so after that, he was on less than 1/3 health. A couple attacks later, he was dead.
Commercials timed like..."And then when you defeat him, you'll be rewarded with..." "Overactive bladder..."
I really liked this area. A lot of notable enemies.
Those bell bearing Hunter attacks can be blocked with a good Shield quite easy, but our host seems to dislike shields , honestly didn't have much trouble fighting him and I think I was about Lv 28 at the time running a Knights build sword and shield and a lance , I would also like to mention horse combat and the talisman that makes your attacks stronger when riding Torrent which is another Way I've beaten the death Birds
