Corey is the only one I can except as a teacher. All he does is proper I wish I had him years ago. He doesn’t tell me any new but I recommend him to all the kids I know lack knowledge. The Gold here is think Major, all the time, that changed my life years ago
Just wow . Killer tones, Gorgeous licks , the whole enchilada . Brett , with Cory - plus Guthrie and Tim and McNeeley ....... best players online going . Dudes, that sounded so freakin’ good - honestly .
That's gold. This is the kind of stuff hard to find. It's really important to understand harmonically what is happening in order to expand your possibilities. Thanks guys. Really great stuff.
How long did it take to know, without thinking, where all of those notes are? I'm talking about the minor 7th, 9th, 5th, you just throw it out right off the top of your head!!! Awesome
This video is incredible by the quantity and the quality of informations it has! I'm viewing it for the 3rd time, and it opens so many doors! That's really great from you guys, and your playing is so nice, beautiful, great in all the ways!!! Thanks a lot!
@@BrettPapa Looking forward to that Brett, thank you. LOVE the tone/vibe of that Wraptail Goldtop. My dream guitar is a fat '50s neck P90 wraptail with modern jumbo frets! To me a wraptail can be played very aggressively, kind of like the same way you can play an old Telecaster.
Brett- Please tell me you remember what the amps/effects were in this video. The theory kills me-too late for me to ever grok that stuff-but that tone.... That's mostly attainable. What was it? For both of you? Gorgeous. Not sure why the reverb(?) was particularly organic and dirty or whatever. Both tones just had smoky, dive bar grime. In the most beautiful way possible.
Thanks so much! You know I am not sure what Two Rock model Corey uses but its his standard rig. I am sure you can go to his channel and get a total rig rundown on it. Mine is just my Gold Top plugged straight into a Divided by 13 BTR23 with some verb in post.
@@BrettPapa Thank you so much. I didn’t know if he was using his own stuff or if he was plugged into some of your gear. I’ll go check his equipment. Your BTR continues to impress me. Yet there aren’t many (any?) Kemper profiles for it. [womp-womp]
hey brett, what's the story on your les paul? is it a custom shop? you don't see a ton of new ones with the wraparound bridge. and the p90s are killer man! i think you and rob have sold me on them
I bought it off of Rob lol! It's a R4 and I believe it is a custom shop but to be honest I'm not sure but it came with a real nice little book about the guitar haha!
Thanx again & again PaPa! If you're Not careful. Ya might could accidently wright a few new songs!! With all those melodies flyin around like that. Ha!
It's when you play scales made of 1/2 steps basically. Like frets 1,2,3,4 or if you were in a minor pentatonic position one on the G string instead of play just the 5th and 7th frets maybe you mix up 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Corey literally plays everything I would play, if I knew everything he does 😂
Haha! Well check out his vids and you will learn all his licks!
@@BrettPapa been stealing ‘em for years now, brother! 😂
Can you also play any Bm triad or arpeggio over a D Major? Asking for a friend.
Yes!
