I had a 74 Laguna with a 454 auto. The owner of the gas station I worked at also had one with the 454, but his was a 4 speed. This was around 1982. While they weren't true muscle cars, they were surprisingly quick.
as a young person who worked at Pontiac Motors I remember quite well the beautiful cars coming down the line , always hoping to have my own. The last big Grand Prix was triple black .Then the line was bare for many weeks as they prepared for the downsizing . When I was called back to work to the same spot it was kinda sad . The decision to go small ,I believe hurt Pontiac . I then became a Station Wagon guy. which Im glad as they are most useful auto . say la vee .
I had a 75+77 FULL sized Pontiac GP's. Beautiful safety engineered cars all around great styling. The V8 350 was a mover. When the GP went small, I went away from them , never bought another one.
Yet another AI generated channel with nothing new to offer, just more stock photos and regurgitated crap from other sources. The AI voice hasn't even been trained to say the year properly or something as simple as foot-pounds (it literally spelled the letters to the abbreviation). Terrible!!!
People rag on the cavalier z24 but little do they know it's got a whole lot in common with the Camaro and is considered the sister car to the Camaro ....AND the Chevy Citation X11 was one of the fastest cars built at the time.. definitely a muscle car!
I owned a few different flavors and years of the Pontiac Grand Am, and both drove very well and looked amazing during that time, they had the best looking interiors around,
WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE NEVER HESRD OF THESE CARS!!!!?????? DO YIU THINK WE ARE STUPID AND UNEDUCATED AND DONT KNOW SNYTHING BUT WHAT HAPPENED IN OUR OWN LIFETIME MEMORY????? WE READ BOOKS AND RESEARCH THE INTERNET!!!!!!! YOU SOUND SHALLOW AND REALLY TUNNEL VISIONED!!!!!!!
LOW PERFORMANCE ENGINES yep that perfectly describes my 1974 Chevelle Malibu 350 2bbl. I think it takes the top trophy for awful performance and even worse gas mileage 12mpg hiway. The only time I tried to "race" it, it stalled on the start line. I was too embarrassed to do that again. As a car it was okay. Its just the engine had been reduced to an awful POS gas guzzler. In 1979 I got the car I wanted in 1976, a 76 Cutlass Supreme console w/floor shift , bucket seats, cloth interior, A/C(yes yes) and 350 4bbl. Its the only car I ever truly loved with its power, road handling, comfort and sharp looking exterior. Wish GM would resurrect it like the Camaro.
My friend I was born in this early 60s, that is another car I always liked it was a pace car I remember seeing them new on the road. You are making me sin with covenants😮
One nice thing about all these fake muscle cars, they were such garbage rust buckets, they and their ridiculous, maybe even insulting boat anchor engines weren't on the road that long. I have a V-6 that puts out 309 hp stock. And 300 was the number to beat on all true muscle cars. 450 is the number to beat today for a V-8. And nobody EVER called the Corvair a muscle car.
Why haven't u xclusively, documented the unheard of 701/2,S.C/Sport Couple,Split bumper,Second Generation Badass Caro, only model u could order from all Categories,Ss,Z28,RS, RS/Ss,SCz are unheard of, very Rare,N U. Owned one!!!😮😮😮😮😮😅😊
I've lived the Ara during all the supposed unmentioned vehicles that where mentioned in this video. I can say this the person that's responsible for this video obviously must be a millennial because all these vehicles were popular enough to be remembered quite frequently if you only lived through those years I owned a very rare 1973 GTO that had left over ram air 3 heads from the previous year because the GTO that I had was assembled in November of 1972 in Michigan and I still have the title to prove it....
I hate these "informative" videos that have flipped or mirror imaged clips, wrong car in clips (Pontiac Trans Am instead of the Grand Am), and AI narration that hasn't figured out how to speak English yet!
Who says nineteen hundred and seventy four ? I mean really just say 1974. The narration on this is a silliest crap I’ve ever heard., It’s like story time for somebody who doesn’t know anything about cars. Waste of my time.😊🎉
Thanks to the comments Ican skip this video and pass on anything further from this channel. I detest the fake AI narration (and scripts) and reversed images makes me cringe. Bye
O hate to say it ,cayse i was born in79,but yikes,70z had the ugliest by cars, least power ful n fun,n clothes n crazy styles, some cool some not,the butterfly collar,Yikes,Ell bottoms ,Tikes,Mini Skirts ,Super yikes,g Strap underwwar😮😮😮😮😮😊
God. I am so tired of AI narrations. 'nineteen hundred and seventy four', 'el-bee-eff-tee' instead of pound feet for torque. Ugh!
Me too
A whole lot of other GM 'weird muscle cars'were not mentioned. 71/72 Chevelle 'Heavy Chevy', 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2, etc., etc..
I had the 442 Oldsmobile Cutlass & it was the Official Pace Car of the Indy 500.
You could get the 454 in the Laguna
And a 71 slant 6 put out more hp.

@jimr3179 I had a 74 in 87 with a built 350 one of my favorite cars
Ive been in the '73 Grand Am. Never forgot tbe NACA ducts in the hood.

I used to have a 74 Cutlass salon it was just simply fabulous

The citation listed as a muscle car? Are you fkn kidding me?
I watched this video because I have a 74 Chevelle and 73 el Camino but these last cars on this list are no way muscle cars

The creator is not thinking when feeding text to the app. 1974 should be "nineteen seventy four" and of course the correct "pound feet".
Did You see the car go so fast in reverse ?
I owned a 1975 Pontiac Grand AM. Fun to cruise in. Unfortunately, a flood destroyed it. Sold what was left of it for $200.00.
You mean Grand-DOM? Good lord
Well there were some interesting cars there but, I was surprised not to see the Pontiac fiero. Now that's a weird car a 4.3 second weird car.
Whoo hoo right outta the gate - the chevy iguana S3
I remember those on the rail cars headed north from the Fremont assembly plant
People rag on the cavalier z24 but little do they know it's got a whole lot in common with the Camaro and is considered the sister car to the Camaro ....AND the Chevy Citation X11 was one of the fastest cars built at the time.. definitely a muscle car!

The Envoy had an INLINE 6, not a V6. It was the infamous Atlas 4200 straight 6
1986 to 1987 Grand Nationals got my attention.. for the mid & late 1980's
Nostalgic vintage cars
Thought the 442 meant (4) speed (4) barrel (2) dual exhaust! If they cant build it too spec, they should discontinue, not make a "what if" machine!!
no one ever called the Corvair a muscle car 'till now
Lived it 😊❤
What in the hell are these pronunciations? I know it's AI but I thought this was supposed to be good. I think the best was the Grand-DOM. 😂
Muscle cars?
Not one of those cars performs like or looks as good as mopars of the same era

The lagoona looks like a Mustang ll but bigger.
I had a version of 74 Hurst old 350 engine 74 was a terrible year for performance cars
My friend I was born in this early 60s, that is another car I always liked it was a pace car I remember seeing them new on the road. You are making me sin with covenants😮
How the hell is a Corvair a muscle car???

None of these are muscle cars I live back then and I remember when these cars came out and I rode in a lot of them they were pooches
You have no idea what a muscle car is !!
I hate these "informative" videos that have flipped or mirror imaged clips, wrong car in clips (Pontiac Trans Am instead of the Grand Am), and AI narration that hasn't figured out how to speak English yet!
Shit don't make sense Citation a muscle car really
Can't you prounce it right
Buick w/350 engine is no muscle car
What's the problem with the enunciation of the words in your video? You need to update your editing tools. This is ridiculous

Enough of the AI generated repeating and inconsistent bullshit.
More AI bullshit. We're done, folks. Fake RUclipsrs suck.
