and definitely not a "muscle car" he said it himself "sport sedan" 6 cylinder front wheel drive with a 7 sec 0-60 is definitely out of place on this list!
#1 WHAT???????? you picked that sled as the fastest GM muscle? Not the Buick GNX? The mid 2000's Holden built GTO? or the Holden built G8? Are you nuts?
I rounded off but the best cars were from 1964-1972 but the GTO ran til 1974 which was weak but heads and a cam woke it up. My friend has one. I own a fully restored 1967 GTO convertible. The focus of this video was primarily early muscle cars. Don’t know why they included just 2 cars outside this era in the video.
Had a 70 396 (402) 375 Horsepower which after dyno'd was putting out almost 500 HP, 12" Ripple-Walls tires, Mallory Distributor package, plastic fan, replaced the stick with a Hurst 4-speed close ratio, 4:88 LSD rear and break-lock was big, and on the street I was in the low 12's, and on the track mid 11's all day long.
For you that wants to know the real reason for under rating the engine power. For example the 67 Firebird 400 was rated @326 HP everyone know it was more but since regulations didn't accept more than 1 HP per 10 pounds thus the weight was 3260 pounds. GM stopped the Banshee, said to Pontiac here have this and gave them the F body to make the Firebird from, so basicly Camaro and the Firebird are the same car exept for the engine and some trim. So why did GM stop the Banshee? It was faster and better than the Corvette and they couldn't have that... Stupid in my opinion, having Pontiac and Chevy competing for the #1 performance car would have made better and faster cars. There... im not angry anymore :)
@robertgossas3711 the biggest reason for under rating was for insurance. The fear was if the insurance people knew the real horse power you wouldn't have been able to insure your vehicle or the cost would've been prohibitive.
I owned a lot of cutlass's when I was younger between the years of 68 to 76 and I have loved all of them they were very powerful machines and had a great body style and were very reliable and very fast ❤️😎👍
Whats CRAAAAZY is, I actually had the #1 car on this list. My uncle had a Caddy that beat my Azz on the highway! This thing had a Turbo and I got whipped by a Cadillac!! Sad...
he's obviously talking about the classic muscle era from the 60s-early 70s my dad's cousin Phil had a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 though he later traded it when he and his wife had their first child. Holdens don't count as they weren't sold here unless they were rebadged as something else the GT0 or G8 the 442 was on the higher end of trims for the Cutlass along with S Salon and Supreme depending on model year. my dad got his license in a 1974 Cutlass S coupe on May 30 1976
I had a 69 gp sj ..I t was extremely powerful .It was more fun to drive than a new mustang.I had a 71 nova.307.I beat a 383 charger from 49th ave.to the tracks.( roughly 3/16 of a mile in Gary, in. Had a 402 in a 72 nova.It was faster than my 68 camaro 396.My cousin Don and I went to Glen park and drove back a super rare 63. Bonneville This thing was longer than the trump nitemare It had a 421(we had to research it) it also came with a 4 spd.superhydromatic auto.It idled like a hemi. This this thing would roast the tires nonstop for a 1/4 mile.we marked it off.We couldn't get a race after winning against a 454 chevelle with dual carter's and a 4.11 /m22.It was viscerally incredible driving these cars .we were middleclass.you guys missed out.I love em all but these newer cars are too dangerous too complex and don't have the same feel. They also have un imaginative personalities..And you cannot sense road conditions enough to enjoy the thrill. The car drives and you are just along for the ride.It s not the same.Young kids have too much.Im sorry. We paid 25 dollars for that 421 superduty. and got ridiculed for bringing it home.,We had books. No internet. We did stuff in person.I wish I could afford some of the great stuff around, but it's not any fun out there.I hope all you current hotrodders out there can remember it about having fun and being good to your friends and opponents. The millionaires should leave the hotrod community and go find something else to do.Too many snipers and assholes. Its just shitting in your bed and being okay with it. Later..
No Shit and if you find any Fool that is ,Please give them my info, Cuz I. Have 5 of these GP , I took in on trades last year at my car lot, about to wholesale them to buy here pay here land in Arkansas, Can't give them away lol
The 1969 CAMARO ZL-1 COPO Is faster than any lead-sled that you presented on this video All aluminum big block 427 At 490 to 525 horsepower. At just 3000 LBS. the Weight to horsepower ratio was better than anything in your video.
My husband had a 76 Pontiac grand prix sj model. It was red with red interior and swivel seats. He put a 454 bored out 30 over with a 4 speed automatic. He had to sell it 5 years ago but the man he sold it to ended up selling it to someone out of town and my husband is trying to track it down so he can try to buy it back
1970 Pontiac Grand Prix would do 153 mph I had a model J w/400/400 . Everyone knows that the Z28 came with a 302 per Trans Am specs. The #1 fastest Gm car might be the Corvette, but I know for a fact that the Buick GNX Grand National 3800 Turbo is hands down the quickest GM muscle car ever built 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, and a 12.7-second quarter mile. That was with factory timing and and needless emissions components. That car in the right hands could do 0-60 at around 4 sec flat. It is a launch rocket! I cant leave out the 2006 GTO with LS motor it was a beast> and this AI robot has no clue about that turbo grand prix, if they used the Buick 3800 in that car with a turbo then maybe, but that 3100 v6 was a boat anchor piece of junk .
My 2000 FH WS6, most refined performance albeit not as well built as in attention to details interior for example, fit and finish, compared to my 1992 Z28 Heritage 5 speed (rear end accident took out that car which was a vert) with the 2K TA more resembling some of the construction techniques of my 76 Lt turned into a tribute Z28; no smog eventually had to give it away. Fourth gen Firebird TA generally better fit and finish then the fourth gen Camaro on the upper and lower fit exterior panels. The 1970 and 1960 models, sleeving the cylinders, unleaded gas, 6 to 10 mpg. Fun to borrow one. mb
Absolutely horrible presentation. Showing a picture of a Pontiac engine for a 67 Camaro, stating that the car came with a big block and showing a small block engine in the car. Ridiculous!
The Ram AIR V TRANS Am was NEVER a production model. It was MAYBE a race engibe and most people arent sure about that. Please do more research on your videos! Wait, you put a Turbo Grand Prix that did a SEVEN second 0-60 over other muscle cars on your list that did 0-60 in LESS THAN SIX SECONDS???!! AN THAT GRAND PRIX'S REAL STREET PERFORMANCE WAS SLOWER THAN ADVERTISED. WHAT AN IDIOTIC CHOICE!
WHY NOT MOTOR IN LITER TOO VERY FEW UNDERSTAND CUI AND ALLSO IN NEWTON METER ALONG SIDE FOOT POUND SO THE EUROPEAN VIEWER UNDERSTAND IT TOO WOULD BE NICE
American cars, American measurements, pretty simple. Only car in the 60s I know that had liters anywhere was a GTO. At least the 67 drop top I had did, other years I don’t know. Then later Trans ams had liters. Did your European muscle cars have CID or liters? 😅 don’t try to learn off this video. It is so wrong in so many ways! Grand Prix with a personal luxury car, not a muscle car. They stated transmissions wrong so many times. top speed was different on different cars because of gearing. Some of their horsepower ratings was off too!
This is all AI BS anyways guys. I knew it was gonna be ridiculous when i started watching it. I did watch it to the end and it was as lame as i expected😂q
Not sure who put this together but you don’t know what your talking about. You have the same car in two places. Chevelles and plain gto’s Being called called a gto judge. Camaros called trans ams, wrong cubic inches …. Pile of garbage
#1 is by far the worst car on the list.
and definitely not a "muscle car" he said it himself "sport sedan" 6 cylinder front wheel drive with a 7 sec 0-60 is definitely out of place on this list!
#1 WHAT???????? you picked that sled as the fastest GM muscle? Not the Buick GNX? The mid 2000's Holden built GTO? or the Holden built G8? Are you nuts?
What about the HSV GTSR W1?
Unless they are talking about classics here in which case the W1 would miss out.
Key word “muscle cars” , the muscle car era was between 1960-1975
@@romano54321 actually 1972. That was muscle car era 1.0. 2.0 was from '09 to '24.
I rounded off but the best cars were from 1964-1972 but the GTO ran til 1974 which was weak but heads and a cam woke it up. My friend has one. I own a fully restored 1967 GTO convertible. So many mistakes
AI SUCKS
These videos are always made by non car people.
Boy how times change,I had the 1970 grand prix, same color of blue, and bought it for 100 dollars, couldn't do that anymore lol
Uh…#1 doesn’t even belong on this list! I guess since the narration is obviously AI, it’s safe to assume this was made by “bros.”
For the Chevelle LS6, the cubic inches of the engine was 454, NOT 452. I think someone made a typo, and the BOT read it.
WOW MIND BLOWING INCREDIBLE GN MUSCLE CARS, AMAZING, THANK YOU
What video did you watch?

I could picture your car .I bet that thing was fun and scary as hell.
For you that wants to know the real reason for under rating the engine power. @ i see, i never knew the reason for this rule/regulation. Thank you enlightening me.
@@robertgossas3711 your welcome.
Owned from the list...
1970 - 73 - 74 Pontiac Grand Prix
1972 Cutlass convertible
1969 Chevrolet Camaro
1974 Pontiac Trans Am
AN ENTIRELY LAUGHABLE REVIEW ENDING WITH A 3.1 LITRE V6 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AS THE #1 GM MUSCLE CAR OF ALL TIME …..BWAHAHAHA!!!!
Great list but I was expecting several others as well, '69 Camaro Z28 RS 302, '87 Buick GNX and '64 Impala SS 409
I owned a lot of cutlass's when I was younger between the years of 68 to 76 and I have loved all of them they were very powerful machines and had a great body style and were very reliable and very fast ❤️😎👍
Pontiac GTO! The Judge! Glenn
That 70 Camaro is beautiful, especially with the rally sport trim
I want my 22.59 minutes back.
Me Too, what a Bullshit list
The GNX REIGNS SUPREME!!!! The most impressive GM car of ALL TIME! Better than the corvette even... and they know it!

Is this a Joke?! A GN would've been a top pick for the end of the muscle car era
Had a 66 Pontiac 2+2 421 four speed with 410 gears that would pull a super duty Trans Am and a W 30 442
No GNX? No 89’ Turbo Tans Am? Blasphemous.
1970 Pontiac Trans Am should been number one 🙄

I'm not sure number one is even considered a muscle car I guess it's clickbait at this point
What about the grand national that should have been the top was the fastest production car for 1986
You choose this 80s POS as #1? What about the true 80s "Sleeper"? THE GNX..
I hate BOTs!!!!! Pretty lame for anyone who actually knows these cars.
Lots of cool stuff except that POS '90 GP - that joke isn't #1 on ANYBODY'S list of GM ANYTHING !!
leguna was also muscular know of it
There's 22 minutes of my life I'll never get back...terrible list, especially #1.
What is a Oldsmobile Four Hundred Forty Two? Does he mean Olds 4-4-2? I'm out of here.
