Nah still weak. If you let a Clive get that far back to make the move safe they deserve it. His fundamental tools are mid at best. I would argue that his phoniex shift is his strongest tool as it's the only thing in his kit that forces a 50 50 after he lands an attack that can shift into it. Titan leaves you up close with your turn gone which is where Clive doesn't want to be at.

Either way i been said clive was gonna be an issue, their real attempts at keeping him balanced were keeping his individual move damage low and making sure odin attacks only did chip damage, as well as make a good amount of moves rather punishable, but he has so many strong moves, such insane wall travel that the damage adds up anyway. Im not complaining about clive but i called it that he would be really strong. Wouldnt surprise me if people end up thinking hes top 5/10 and i still dont think hes broken. Just really solid

The gimmick was defense and punishment off of it, from gameplay that I saw in that game, but even then, Titan is used rarely, if barely. (Awesome game, btw. Recommend.) If anything, from what I've seen, it's usually Odin and his Zantetsuken that's spammed, because it's basically a walking area wipe, when it's level five, and one of a few good health drainers when against a boss, or enemies in it's hardest difficulty.
F1+2 is the most broken in my opinion, you can't sidewalk or step freely when that move still at his disposal i really hope they patche it as soon as possible.
@@blitzball9915just do a low…? The move is a mid that has two hits, and the first hit tracks both sides and the second you can step to the left. If you try to do a low you’re just gonna get hit. And if you are getting the lows off, that Clive fucking sucks

Speaking of that last clip regarding the tracking, thats not only tracking, but deceptively big hitbox too, something that I notice a lot in this game where moves just clip you when there was no actual contact, but strangely only in Tekken people do not mind it. I come from Smash Ultimate and boy if a move clipped you when there was no contact that was the talk of the month.
I think they should nerf the speed if anything because you can spam it right after they block like it should have 2-3 sec delay before using it again. I’m not gonna lie I spam it twice and it always hits lol 😂
Hmmm I kinda disagree , as a powercrush is quite slow so the opp can attack and guard pretty frequently and the fact that is -14 is less than ideal. Good as a projectile to catch sloppy movement tho but you have b2 and f1+2 to do that with less risk.
People are way overreacting about this character, what I like about Clive is that he's got clear visual cues that help you anticipate most of his stuff. He's also very weak to sidestep, the first five matches I had about Clive I could sidestep the hell out of him even though I didn't know the character. He's one of my favorite characters to play agaisnt in this game no joke. Even if he might come come as broken, he doesn't feel like it, I'll take him anyday, whereas Lydia and Eddie get on my nerves real quick, and it's certainly not like playing against noctis that could throw you an instant f2 if you whiffed anything and could threaten you from fullscreen, at least Clive make me feel like my opponent's win is earned.
Would we prefer mid tier characters having one or two very annoying tools or would we prefer the top tiers remaining top tier with broken things. Help me understand

I think they are shadow banning Clive’s to play other Clive’s. I picked him up to spam with and played all night about 90% matches were against another Clive. The next night I played about two more mirror matches (which are not fun) and switched back to my main, heihachi, changed to about 10% Clive’s for the full night

I've been playing Tekken only for a few months.( red rank but I'm about to duck things and learn mus mid match due to other fighters exp) When clive dropped I looked at guides until I played rank for the first time yesterday. I lost to EVERY clive. Got demoted for the first time. I played a clive lost so bad i thought it was a smurf. I ran into their main 30mins later and they never took a round the whole set. Clive is really crazy, I feel like always I'm danger no matter the range

To be honest. I don’t think anyone cares enough to nerf this character if it went past all the testings and whatnot… we can all just buy him instead of buying the next useless cosmetic. Clive’s fun to play anyway so there’s no paying for nothing unlike Lidia or Eddy
If we learned anything form release Leroy, it's that any broken aspects of a DLC character are done on purpose for the sake of sales, and are nerfed later. That's what I see happening with Clive, who is also the first in the DLC Pack of T8 to do it.

You can step it, you havw to step into the foreground. So if clive is leff side, you must SSR. If clive is right side you SSL
