Dear Mr Defense Secretary: Please authorize Ron Rogers giving one of these test pilots a simulated “check ride” in the T-38 with cameras rolling. Thanks 😊
Ron, do you have any information concerning an F-102 that disappeared off the Florida Keys in the mid 1960s? I believe the pilot's name was Captain Rose. I was a AF dependent attending the 2nd grade at the time. Recall there were at least two active F-102 bases at that time; Seymour-Johnson in NC and Richards-Gebaur AFB in MO. A small contingent of F-102s were on alert at NAS Key West. Seymour-Johnson was phasing out the F-102 so the missing F-102 may have been stationed out of R.G.A.F.B. Also, naval air may have been involved. Just remember hearing that Cpt. Rose descended to investigate a contact and his wing man flying cover reported he disappeared from radar. Don't recall a reported probable cause and thought you may have some information. You clarified the 1976 T-38 crash at R.G.A.F.B for me, so I thought you might be able to provide info on this one.
If you happen to get bored and are still here for the weekend…I know a couple guys at booth 613 would be chuffed to shake your hand…we’re a plucky little experimental outfit called SkyLab Engineering.
Cover was not allowed on the flight line with AFR 35-10. It most probably remains that way. I saw a 2nd LT wear a baseball cap on his preflight and then watch it get sucked into the #1 ENG on his F-4.
I’m very proud of these youngsters on the job! ❤️
Great interview. Thank you Ron for showcasing our American Patriots 🫡🇺🇸
Wonderful change of pace!!!! thanks
You are welcome!

Great to know you’re here at Oshkosh! Greatest place on Earth this week.
It really is!
This is awesome Ron! You should’ve asked for some stick time!
I know better!
I really like that paint job on that 38!
I was always used to them being in chalk paint except for our ACE ones that we kept cleaned.
Great interview!!
Thanks!
