3:02 is literally the best in house sound I’ve heard. The fact you can hear the low end on Imaginary Friends is pretty slick so props to him for making the space work. Seriously that echo low end is literally how the track is supposed to sound and they captured it. Always Mau5 since 2000.

nah, I feel like the drop is lackluster and just feels so awkward, really ruins the the whole build up as the synth is fucking insane..

and yea the drop is awkward, but with Joel that is most likely on purpose. He doesn't like to stick to the generic formulaic structure that 90% of the other producers use. He really varies his drops in live shows too.
The pad is a kontakt plug in dont recall the name. The saw pluck is originally serum but was probably analogue recorded, the backing strings are Vienna strings.
