Fantastic version of a brilliant song. Well done.
RIP Neil Peart
Hard to believe that the man who wrote these lyrics is no longer with us. Rest In Peace, Neil Peart.
Rest In Peace, Neil Peart. January 7, 2020
Me and my dad have always had a rocky relationship, but if we ever had anything to share, it was our love for Rush.
Growing up, I’ve seen both him and myself grow in a thousand different ways, and every once in a while you want to freeze the moments, and love and appreciate them even more for what they are while they’re still there.
Thanks for bringing a tear to my eyes, guys, and making those memories even more wholesome and meaningful. You deserve way more views than you already have.
This interpretation accentuates not only the lyrics, but the feelings and emotions. So well done!
Shows how deep Neil’s lyrics truly are. Well done!
A wonderful cover of one of the most meaningful songs. "Summer's going fast, nights growing colder. Children growing up, old friend growing older." Nice work. Man, I miss these guys!
Totally agree.
Yes, but remember, the earth is 4 billion years old. Just remember, You existed at the same time as RUSH.
Exit the warrior
RIP Neil Peart
A big thankyou for good times on the road ❤🎸👍😎
As usual in terms of Neils lyrics. They are absolutely amazing.
Buddy, VERY well said!!!!!!!!!!!.............you just gave me chills!
Fascinating, hearing how Rush songs sound with "regular" vocals and mostly acoustic instruments. As much as i love Geddy, this is incredible.
Absolutely what I was thinking. They were great songwriters...
try to find ' Run For Cover' they did a rush tribute piece ( 5 or 6 man group) but the singinging sounds like what you said.
Yeah that just shows how great melodies are often "buried" beneath layers of instruments and production. This, and "Subdivisions" cover are absolutely beautiful.
Such a beautiful rendition, Jacob. Turning to your versions of Rush songs in these dark times; the time after Neil Peart. Thanks.
I've been a lifelong Rush fan and this is the song that has come back to me so strong after Neil's passing. Thank you for an amazing cover.
Damn, another cover reducing me into a sea of tears, and challenging me to don a reluctant smile to push onward without Neil's artistry in the world. This world is a less happy place now. However, Neil's legacy will shine all on its own, and for that I willingly smile on, wiping the tears away.
Bd scott I’m not crying. You’re crying. 😢
What BD Said
@@benbassist I'm not crying y'all are crying ☹
you should do a Rush cover album, unplugged of course
I'm a lifelong Rush fan you did them proud this is a very beautiful cover. Thank you.
Beautiful arrangement
Thank you very much!
What an amazing interpretation. Defies genres.
crying. awesome man. "all those wounds that I can't get unwound'
I simply love this. I haven’t listened to that song much in a long time. But I’m with you all who a little tear is dripping from my eye.
Cheers!
This cover suddenly became a lot more poignant. RIP Neil.
Freeze this moment a little bit longer;
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
:'(
You got that right! Two months later and I still can't believe it.
This is so true. IMHO The most impressive cover of this song was recorded this year by Pershings Own. And it was truly dedicated to the memory of Neil Peart.

Gave me goosebumps and a little tear after reading your comment. Hard to listen to this cover and not think about Neil. RIP Professor! This is a beautiful rendition of Time Stands Still!
Absolutely Beautiful cover
I was very reluctant as a drummer and lifetime Rush fan when I saw acoustic no drums ... but once again the tears flow Rush would be proud
RIP Professor Peart 💔🙏🤟
Jacob, you took that to....the Moon?,....and back. Beautiful rendition.
damn, the mother of all covers.
What an incredible version of a great song!
Thanks Jason!
A friend of mine passed away unexpectedly this past Saturday, was a big Rush fan as I am he would have loved this as I did. Keep up the good work man!!
You wouldn‘t believe, how much this song means to me. Incredible version. Please come to Germany one day

I'm a 50+ yr old man, police officer, drummer, and Im sitting here tearing up over these covers...

Thanks, always safe!!
Thanks for sharing. Delightful cover (as the one for "Subdivisions").
Love this cover for this song....the most.
Congratulations for this version of a classic Rush song. It shows the richness and the deep of Neil's Lyrics.
Well done... The Professor will be missed!!!
Jacob, I love the vocal approach to your RUSH covers. You really bring the words to the forefront, which elevates the meaning of the lyrics. Thanks for your interpretations
I've always told my son, " Utilize what you know and the next step shall be given ". Find different ways of doing the same thing and you'll create something new. You took one of my favorite Rush songs to another level, thank you. That was awesome.
Well said!
Well done!!! Bravo!!!
Fantastic version of this RUSH classic. Well done, lads.
Wonderful version
Beautiful rendition. Thank you!
Absolutely Beautiful! Thank you, Jacob.
Great job! bravo and ...well done Mr. Jacob Man, it just goes to show you how precious it all really is.
Another great cover of this amazing song...
Excellent selection from an underrated album
This is a beautiful performance in its own right, and also a tribute and honour to Geddy, Alex, and Neil. The song deserves to be heard this way just as much as the original, thank you for this.
Thanks Devin! Share it around and more will hear. Tough to get it on the radio...
Hell's YES. RUSH has been my favorite band for forty years. Time Stand Still likely # 50 of their, what, 1,000 original tunes? Yet, it was pivotal to a major change in me life, son. Incredibly nostalgic, not just now, but in that moment. She's incredibly mellifluous and emotive. LOVE
Brilliant cover!
This is absolutely wonderful. Tank you. Meditation is a stop to this Time Stand Still suround us! St-Peart.
Awesome job! My favorite Rush song done justice!
My favorite Rush song, too, JCapone3rd!!! You're the only other person I know that lists this as their fav Rush tune!
That is a hauntingly beautiful cover of a fav rush song, thank you so much for this.

Hi. Just found your cover by accident. Absolutely fantastic cover. Thank you.
Another outstanding interpretation mate... dunno how I missed it till now, guess it was just time for me to hear it and re-read the lyrics that hit me years ago and ever since.
These beautiful children amplify the intensity of the lyrics
Terrific, Jacob! Absolutely brilliant!
RUSHJanuary 7 2020.
Our most heartfelt thanks go out to family, friends, musicians, writers and fans from around the globe for the incredible outpouring of love and respect for Neil since his passing. These touching tributes help to lessen the pain of this terrible loss and remind us all to celebrate his remarkable life and our connections to it. - Geddy & Alex\==Time Stand Still"===I turn my back to the wind
To catch my breath
Before I start off again
Driven on without a moment to spend
To pass an evening with a drink and a friendI let my skin get too thin
I'd like to pause
No matter what I pretend
Like some pilgrim
Who learns to transcend
Learns to live as if each step was the end(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Time stand still
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away
Time stand stillI turn my face to the sun
Close my eyes
Let my defenses down
All those wounds that I can't get unwoundI let my past go too fast
No time to pause
If I could slow it all down
Like some captain, whose ship runs aground
I can wait until the tide comes around(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Make each impression a little bit stronger
Freeze this motion a little bit longer
The innocence slips away
The innocence slips away
Time stand still
Time stand stillI'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Time stand stillSummer's going fast, nights growing colder
Children growing up, old friends growing older
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away
The innocence slips away
Imagine if Ann and Nancy Wilson where to do this song.
Dave Longenecker oh wow... yes to this
Jacob, thank you for covering this song, the lyrics take on an even more powerful meaning to me with your version. I quite enjoyed the video as well!
Was hoping for the kid to do the Aimee Mann "Time stand still" part.
One of my favourite Rush tunes. Brilliant!
Really love this version.
Shit… this gave me chills, what a wonderful cover!
Cheers Stelios!
Cheers Stelios!
bravo, sir! wonderful guitar arrangement from david.
Simply awesome.
Thank you Neil!
Very well done! Really enjoy this!!!
Wonderful cover. Wow, just love this.
Man, I'd almost kill for a karaoke version of this cover. Something with just some guide vocals on the chorus or something. What a great rendition of one of their greatest tracks.
I'm sure it can be done. Finding a karaoke MIDI file of the original version (which is available), dropping it down 3 semi tones from E standard to C# standard and slowing down the veolocity. Not 1:1 but we can get it close enough.
Sweet cover, Jacob. You have the gift.
Happy birthday, Professor Pratt. You left ealy to avoid the crowds, but we forgive you and will never forget...
Well said.
And thanks to these artists for this incredible tribute.
wow that is impressive. real good.
Amazingly well done Jacob
This is so beautiful. I love how you made it your own.
Thank you so much!
More of this please. You really did a great job. I really like how it came out, really do. Nice to hear a Rush song slowed down a little.
Beautiful! ♥️
No words needed we still miss you Neil.
Why is this guy not a mega star. I love rush and always rocked out to this song. This version was so emotional it made me cry.
Thanks dude! I sincerely appreciate that. Becoming a megastar would be hard in these crazy days. My thing is making music that I like and my friends like.Trying to get something going over at Patreon.com/jacobmoon. I give all my music away to my super fans for The price of a cup of coffee. Would love to have you on my team. :)
Just great - best lyrics ever - can't listen without a tear in the eye
Extraordinary man...Beautiful voice and phenomenal string instruments. Definitely one of the best covers I’ve seen of that tune.
Hey, a nice rendition of this Rush tune. I enjoyed it!... :-)
What a beautiful version of one of my favorite songs of all time. Very well done!
A powerful take on an amazing song. Thank you for this.
My final R40 show 8 years ago today and I find this rendition??? TIME STAND STILL!!!🙏
Great song. Multiple formats do it justice.
It is so nice. Thank you
Such a beautiful version of this song. Regardless of which version of the song I’m listening to, I am always brought to tears. This song is just that powerful. Thank you.

Very Nice version dude👍👍
Mr. Neil , I luv You, RIP
Thank you!!
Beautiful 😍
Wow... I could hear Lisa Winn singing the "Time Stands Still" part... nice cover guys.
I believe that was originally Amy Mann of Til Tuesday who recorded this with Rush.
That was beautiful!
Listening to this cover again because: 1) The early digital download of ‘Tributes - Songs For Neil Vol. 3’, produced by RUSHfest Scotland on which this appears, was shared by Steve Brown on Thursday, Sep 8th; 2) Sep 8th was the 35th anniversary of Rush’s release of ‘Hold Your Fire’ in 1987; 3) ‘Time Stand Still’ is one of my favourites; and, 4) this is SOOO awesome! 🕰⏳🧍🧊🔥👏
Great cover guys, nice voice Jacob!
Outstanding cover, Congrats!
Telecaster != Acoustic... :) But still - awesome cover - thanks for sharing!
this cover is a wonderful one, I can definitely say that I prefer it to the original
Beautiful cover by all.
Very beautiful! I'm a drummer and rarely will listen to acoustic type versions of songs that exclude drums. But man this version is put together and sung so perfectly it made me tear up! Very well done, I love it!
Mais um belo cover da grande banda Rush! Belíssimo!
Gracias!
