Hello friends, I cannot patch my nux mg30 processor. When I download the appropriate patch, click on import from the Quicktone program, then select the patch and confirm it, nothing happens, it does not go to the next step. I am using Windows 10, I wonder why it can do it. By the way, mg30 um is up to date.
I have downloaded all of the software and everything off of the NUX website yet when I use the cable to connect the device and my pc quicktone studio sits there saying I need to connect my device via usb when I already am. Any clue why?

Also, I can't find how to download the update for quicktone editor. Is there one? And do I download it before or after the new firmware update? Hello. When the MG30 is plugged into my DAW and into Garageband, which instrument do I choose in Garageband so not to affect the input of the Nux MG 30, please?
I got my mg30 a couple of days ago. Everything is fine except there's no sound in my QuickTone Editor. I thought it might be driver issues so, I uninstalled and reinstalled all the audio drivers. The device shows in the device manager. Nux Audio is present in both input and output options in sound manager. I can record and monitor through mg30 in bandlabs but there's no sound in QuickTone Editor. I've tried deleting the editor, downloading and opening it again. But, still no sound in editor. I'm on Windows 10, updated mg30 to the latest firmware and using corresponding version of the editor too. My laptop is quite old but since I can record and monitor in other platform, QuickTone Editor should be working too, right? Has anyone faced this problem? Could it be due to the firmware update? I don't know what to try next. There's seems to be no other option than listening to the pedal through a separate output while using the editor right now.
I can import IRs directly to the Preset, but can't import them to the 20 favourites in my IR Collection list. I try to upload them, but hey just don't show on the list. Do you know what may be the cause of this?
Hey Pedal Guy, there is a new version of quick tone editor coming up with the latest version of firmware update. Currently I do have a problem in case of this new release. The new version of quick tone doesnt provide the ghost functionality as you can save back ups directly on the nux with the new firmware update. How can I import old back ups from windows pc into the Hardware without having the functionality ghost in quicktone? Is there any possibility?

Thanks for the question. Yes, you can connect a MIDI switch to the MG-30 but it is rather complicated. I believe Leo Gibson did a vid on how to do this.
When arranging the presets. Is there a way to insert the preset into the list rather than swap positions with another one? So, when you drop the preset into the list, all the other presets move down the list.
Hey Scott, When I use my MG-30 and I plug it into my combo amp it works perfectly but when I plug the usb into my computer it has a loud buzzing sound. Any idea on what to do?
Update i had to reinstall QuickTone Editor again for it to work but the app is not installed if i close the editor it is gone?This makes no sense that i have to keep installing the EXE downloded app for the editor to work everytime i want to use it?
Of course not. If you download the app from the NUX site, it should be in your Downloads folder on Windows. Simply copy and paste the app to your desktop and that should resolve the issue

I can change the amp on my board, but the editor won't allow me to change amps, but it will allow me to edit everything else though. Any idea why that may be? Also, I'm unable to get the mic position to change as well.
All these videos would be great if I could just get the quick time editor to see my mg-30, after downloading and installing all the latest files it worked once and never again the software just keeps asking me to connect the mg-30 via usb. Silly I am not, it is plugged in to the computer using the USB cable provided??????????????

Does anyone know how to use audacity to record the tone from the Amp, merely using MG 300 as an audio interface for recording. Typically this has no problem using audacity and and Quicktone editor. However, this round I wish to use only the THR10's tone (amazing) and I do not want Nux MG 300 tone on it, while retaining capability of amp/Nux to PC recording capabilities. So far I have tinkered with Mode (Combo Rear, Combo Front, Studio etc), Settings (Dry out/reamp) to no avail. What results is just a "flat" tone where all amps/pedals in Quicktone is bypassed, and none of the distorted tone out of the THR10. Does anyone know how to get the tone from THR10 into audacity?

@@ThePedalGuy the connections according to manual are ok. I get to open quicktone and it opens but it stays on the initial screen where it indicates to connect usb and it does not advance towards the software
@@sebastianjuri4108 the next thought is that the version of quicktone editor is not the one that matches the installed firmware. Also if you are on a PC you need to install the ASIO driver.
they changed the import loader screens - the import and collection are separate now. it would be nice to control the levels and filters with the collection screen as with the individual IR screen.
Im sure you can assist. If I import a patch to the user presets, it does change the user , but also the factory presets! Also when using the pedal live, as I will next week, how do I get to my user presets? Its a steep learning curve!
Thanks Scott. I had no idea that you could change from serial to parallel... I'm going to have to do some experimenting with that. Just a quick question, do you tailor your presets based on the type of guitar you are using? I mainly play Fender / single coil, but I just ordered a Les Paul... Obviously, I will play around and see how it sounds through the existing presets, but I was just curious on your preset selection for different types of guitars. I'll probably end up copying my existing custom presets to new slots, and modify them to be a good sound for the LP... I am hoping that at some point, they allow for adjustment within the parameters of the effects per scene, so I can use the same preset, but adjust gain / eq / etc, and just switch scene for the different guitars... but I am not banking on that. ;-)
You bet. I typically will model my preset after the guitar I'm using. Normally I'm a strat guy but lately I've been using my 70s ES335. I just can't seem to put that down.

no connection between PC and MG30 Hello Pedal Guy my help beacon. After I installed Quiktone on the PC, there was no connection between the MG30 and the PC. I used the USB port on the front of the PC. After some struggling and a tip I use the USB port on the back of the PC and it works :-). Hopefully this tip will be useful to others. greeting Freddy
still no Update in the Preset Order Technique? why would anyone want to swap the Presets when changing Order? I want Preset 200 on 5 and Preset 5 on 6. But now Preset 200 is on 5 and Preset 5 on 200 wtf - Every other Editor does it right whats the point of this function? please make it an option not a feature 😓
Dude... Huge Fan, good stuff! And You inspired me to get the MG-30. BUT.... It seems no one can tell me how to start with a blank preset, design a cool one, then name it and save it for my own use. I've Always played with a full pedal board... a video on "creating your own sound" and saving it with your name, would be great. I cannot find any vids on basic setup ans saving
Thanks. It's not really clear, but it's simple. Just select a User preset, turn off all of the Amps, FX, etc then save it as a "Blank Preset". Hope that helps.

It's really strange for the unit to not have blank user presets. *edit* Okay so what it looks like is that the factory settings are written to both the factory settings AND the personal presets. I think I will create a blank patch, and then copy it to every single personal patch so that they are all blank. It would be way less confusing.
The drag & drop preset function seems to only do a swap. I want to do a move and insert, leaving the target location in place. Pretty lame editing functions. Also, all that "studio" background image is distracting and makes it hard to see the effects. Who cares about wood flooring and lights? Just give me an option to put in a simple unobtrusive solid background color.

Please ensure that you're not plugged into a hub. It works better when you're connected directly to the CPU.

Are you plugged into the computer directly or via a hub? The MG-30 doesn't like being connected to a hub.

Not sure what's happening there. Have you reached out to NuX?
Could an issue in some adaptor, eg: usb hub. Or usb ground loop.

Sorry, no idea why that's happening. I've been editing both ways on my CPU and the board for over a year now.

You can export your presets as a batch in the quicktone editor before updating.

It’s likely an incorrect USB cable. It needs to be a data cable.

After I installed Quiktone on the PC, there was no connection between the MG30 and the PC. I used the USB port on the front of the PC. After some struggling and a tip I use the USB port on the back of the PC and it works :-). Hopefully this tip will be useful to others.

I've Always played with a full pedal board... a video on "creating your own sound" and saving it with your name, would be great. I cannot find any vids on basic setup ans saving
Thanks. It's not really clear, but it's simple. Just select a User preset, turn off all of the Amps, FX, etc then save it as a "Blank Preset". Hope that helps.
@@ThePedalGuy Hey thanks for replying... when you've used the unit for a year... that's simple. in trying I'm only able to overwrite stuff I waNt to keep. I don't find a place to go beyond 32a. nor how to add it. how many open preset slots are there and how do I save to them without over writing
@@MrBlueniyt This is the exact thing im seeing. It's really strange for the unit to not have blank user presets. *edit* Okay so what it looks like is that the factory settings are written to both the factory settings AND the personal presets. I think I will create a blank patch, and then copy it to every single personal patch so that they are all blank. It would be way less confusing.

The drag & drop preset function seems to only do a swap. I want to do a move and insert, leaving the target location in place. Pretty lame editing functions. Also, all that "studio" background image is distracting and makes it hard to see the effects. Who cares about wood flooring and lights? Just give me an option to put in a simple unobtrusive solid background color.
