I went on Goliath the very 1st time 2 years ago with the McClure 8th graders at Six Flags!
I wrote the right believe it or not the October of the year it was new.. and I gotta say.. One of THE best rides I've ever been on!!!
I rode it and six flags is 10 times better with it I loved it so much!
Yes and I LOVE IT
When I went on it a couple weeks ago, it’s not as bad as you think, the first drop feels so long because it basically goes straight down but it feels like raging bull but a little longer, the rest of the ride goes so fast and like you don’t have any time to blink, but it was an amazing ride and a few weeks ago I was freaking out here but now it’s my favorite ride. So people you should go on it and be brave because you’ll have a lot of fun and it will blow you away.
I’m a local season pass holder for that park, and this ride is truly out of this world (at least for Six Flags Great America)!! This video definitely serves it some justice
Just rode this today. It's genuinely amazing. So much air time on the hills, and it hangs you upside down for a good long time
Did you notice any rattle or shaking at all? Wondering cause Lightning Rod got IBox track and was curious if Goliath has a possibility of becoming a hybrid?
I went on it today! Conquered my fear of roller coasters. It is my favorite!
@@jacktheaviator6592 dose it feel like your going to fall out since it’s just a lap bar
@@Tacos1543 actually it doesn’t. It’s a perfect ride!
I went on it and the feeling in my stomach rod the drop is ehh not for me I’ll stick to super man and madigra hangover
Seriously had a blast on this. I didn’t expect this to be so much fun. Thanks for recording it and posting because it’s the best roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. People also said raging bull was their fav but I think this way better. I gotta sit in the front next time. Also wish I had a Fast Pass
I rode this on Tuesday, first time I've been to great America in quite a long time. This was the first roller-coaster I rode, and needless to say, this definitely got my blood pumping.
Kids in the front two rows were terrified! LOL
I haven’t had a chance to ride this one yet as it was closed the last time I visited, but looking forward to it. Luv the vids!
I’ve always been terrified of roller coasters, yesterday I went I this with my girlfriend for the first roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. No regrets 😂
Show her ur q brave man my guy
That's so sick Goliath was yr first coaster. What a banger for a start
@@mw2blackopsamazing x2 was my first
Wow your first?! Your brave haha
My first roller coaster today as well. No video can quite do it justice. You don't get the feeling of wind slamming against your face or being pulled up and down by the seat. Great ride.
The lift hill is actually pretty fast
awesome front seat on goliath ride at six flags great america !!!!
watched this while waiting in line just before my turn. didnt think it looked bad by the video, until i got on (front row) and, well, i was wrong. i screamed the entire ride. 10/10
I proposed to my wife on this ride. Not only do I love riding it, but it also holds a huge place in my heart. ❤️
Goliath in Six Flags Great America is the 2nd Goliath ride I had experienced in Six Flags. The first one is in Six Flags Magic Mountain, in Valencia , California.
Very nice vid
favorite ride
I first rode this like 3 years ago when I was 10 I was scared shitless so when we get to the top I raise my hands like complete badass and now it is my favorite. Also not I have rode every ride at six flags including giant drop and max force.
This is magnificent!
That's what she said!
That first drop absolutely destroyed my neck, rest of the tide was fun tho.
Dude, this looks insane!
That's what she said!
Ahh I waited 2 hours for this ride with my mom, neighbors, and friends. When I got to the front I was too scared to ride, so I waited. I regret it! But I believe I’m going to the park again soon so I’m excited! 🎉
Come onnn emily
I went on every ride today as my first time roller coaster day except the Goliath lmfao.
I had a bad experience with the Joker one where it slammed my head on the back board repeatedly as it flipped around and I said I'll keep the Goliath one for next time.
Oh I love Goliath that’s one of the best RMC coasters I’ve written besides the steel vengeance! And This was my home park so I obviously right there’s a ton but my favorite RMC is definitely steel vengeance and this one is right behind it
Hey is it ok if I use this video in a review I am doing on my channel? I will give full credit including your channel name on the video.
Sure just make sure to give credit.
I can’t believe there are these hella young kids going on these!!
Worst thing about it is that you don't get a lap bar to hang onto
Got on this for the first time today it’s awesome. I was scared of all the big coasters before. I lost my fear today
Same

this ride is pretty smooth and i’m surprised because most wooden costers are really bumpy and rough
I agree with you totally
this is not a wooden coaster, this is a hybrid coaster, meaning the track is steel and supports are wood, thats why its smooth, if it was fully wooden im 100% sure it would be really rough
@@oracio7871no, this ride uses rmc topper track, only the top of the track is used with steel, this is a traditional wooden coaster, doesnt have rmc ibox track.
@@oracio7871first of all, not all wooden rides are rough. Manufacturers like gci and gravity group have managed very smooth rides. Second of all, this uses rmc topper track which is actually wood. The only steel part is the truss holding up the lift hill.
@@oracio7871this is a wooden coaster.
Despite the long line, this was a very fun ride!
That's what she said!
Never rode a rollwrcoaster before and I’m terrified of heights but I’m feeling kinda lucky and I want to go on this so I’ll update ya
Can I use this footage for a few videos (top 10 wood, top 25 overall)? ill give credit. do you have other povs of rides at sfgam?
Sure, just give credit to the channel and a link to the original video in the description.
@@ThemeParkPOV ok, will do.
I had an opportunity to go on this but the line was not moving at all, and it was to hot 😢
I rode the Goliath the one in Georgia.
ANNNDD all I can say is NEVER AGAIN!!!
not one of my Favourite RMC Roller coaster's to short
Rode this 3 times today lol
Hello there, could I use you clip just for 3 sec like the drop I will give you the full credit?
Sure, just give credit.
For sure, i will thank you so much!!
did this when the park was gonna close it was PITCH BLACK outside and it felt WAYY worse in the night time u can’t see anything it made me a man tho.
Since Lightning Rod is now considered a steel coaster. Goliath has taken back the record for the World’s Fastest Wooden Roller Coaster! Hopefully this doesn’t become a hybrid too…
That’s interesting… I feel like Lightning Rod is just as wooden as Golaith. The only parts of Lightning Rod that aren’t wooden are the launch and the ending, right?
@@irooki9857 no it’s the station all the way till the wave turn. Then it’s wood until the quad down. Only 3 elements are still wood.
@@SunshineStateCoasters i thought so… but honestly i would count RMC hybrids to be wooden coasters, especially lightning rod. But ig my opinion doesn’t really change the fact it could still be steel. Lightning rod has lost that title of fasted wooden roller coaster especially since they toned it down… too bad i’ve only experienced the new one.
That kid in the dark grey looks like he got ptsd from this ride. Bro was prying the seat up to get out as soon as possible
I’ve recently ridden iron gwazi. I don’t think I’ll see this ride as the same ever after that. Ya this ride does what it’s supposed to, give a intense ride in a short layout but gwazi does everything better. 10 outta 10 on gwazi 8.5 outta 10 on this. I have twisted colossus at 8 outta 10 for anyone wondering that.
Went to six flags for the first time today in Gurnee, did as many rides as I could with my buddies and let’s just say I was chickening out of this one… But I’d say demon and the raging bull were the best
Me and my dad rode this when it first opened and let me tell you we waited for AT LEAST 2 hrs, 😂 def worth it tho
Im irritated by how short this ride is. I got on steel vengeance at cedar point last week and its about 3 times as long as this
I did first time first ride and I got a bloody nose from the pressure
I’m riding it Thursday and I’m not ready for it.😰
That's what she said!
@@frankgrimesification hahah, 😝
Wow, I went in 2019 as well, in August with some family.
Really into coasters and this one freaked me out with the weird drop.
I swear videos make the drop look so much less intense.
gREAT RIDE
So they didn't say anything about there being a camera mounted on your chest? I have a chest mount and I hide it at the platform b/c I'm scared they'll say something and kick me off (or out the park).
Edit: Nevermind I checked the description! I'll be making a new purchase summer 2020! 😏
Oh they have a wooden Goliath too?
There are 7 Goliaths

-Six Flags Great America
-Six Flags New England

-La Ronde
@@BHV0810 thats cool
i was on there on july 14, 2019
I just went there on may 2, 2021
I go here every week and I’m terrified because I told my friend that she can pick all the rides I go on
Gives vibes for wildcat revenge I went on that and its a wild one
Is it scary?, does the drop feel different than raging bull’s drop
It honestly feels worse than the bull drop imo. But not by a long shot.
@@eligreg99good, I been scared to ride raging Bull but I heard the Bull is less intense then Goliath.
does anybody else's neck hurt after this ride?
I enjoyed it but was way too short of a ride for me! I was great otherwise! The next time I'm going to stay so I can get me a night ride!
Goliath is like Steel Vengeance's little brother. It is Six Flags Great America's first RMC roller Coaster. Although, it is about half as long as Steel Vengeance is, It goes by, so quickly. As compared the Steel Vengeance, Goliath definitely does NOT earn it's name...
holy shit that ride scared me
That's what she said!
Go on this ride if u wanna die.
I’ve went on this ride and I was terrified and I don’t like it lol
smite
wow, shortest rmc in history?
no Twisted Cyclone in Georgia
They brave just to put lap bars and seatbelts in on a coaster that goes upside down.
Maxx force
First
That was ill!
The six flags magic mountain Goliath is way better, I can tel from experience
