Park models are what they call the permanent units. A lot of campgrounds are putting in those units. I lived in one I had for 2 1/2 years in So Arizona. That part of NC is very beautiful I was there in July in Boone.
Yes, may be crowded, BUT, doesn't feel crowded. Quiet, respectful clean, protected place -We just returned from there last week. One of the BEST rv resorts/campgrounds we have ever stayed in-very clean, manicured and well kept, bathrooms/showers were immaculate. Staff was great, check in, fast as we booked through Campspot. We just drove in, "guard" met us, got our names, reservations already completed and then we were escorted to our site. 5-8 mins TOPS!!! There are some sites that have more room, but a bit more expensive. We choose one of those, although we do not have a large camper. Its only 16 ft, with no slide outs.There were a lot of large RVs there. It has a large play ground for the kids, splash pad and pool for summer fun. I have been in much more crowed places, which were noisy, not well kept . NOT THIS PLACE!!! If I ever get back to Maggie Valley, I will definitely try to stay there. They now offer TIny homes for sale there too. They are so cute. I loved the ones with screened porches, though don't know that they were for sale.

Breathtakingly crowded. How many people are actually housed there I wonder. It looks like a really good, civilized living, but oh my all those people.
