i feel like youre the only person who actually noticed these details, every review and "ending explained" video i saw overlooked these details, so underrated
Thank youuuu! 🥰 i was surprised when watching other videos; I wanted way more details vs just a summary
something I read about the paint drinking scene was a person's interpretation where she wanted to be her brother...she cannot compete with her dead brother for her parents love as a dead child is a perfect child who can do no wrong, so she drank the BLUE paint.
Now that she’s dead, she can be loved as much as her brother is 🥺
@@MicaelaLozanoa bit dark and twisted but i also noticed her eyes are bloodshot the same way elaine's are after their little scene together... overflowing with "blue paint" or "male essence" 🤔
The paint scene, I think is her way of trying to force Beau to claim her brother's room, and for them to protest being the ideal children. Paint covers up our mistakes. Our grime. Our past.
She drinks the baby blue paint to show that she can never survive in the male shadow of her brother. Her parents wanting a replacement son through Jeeves or Beau is not sustainable. It will kill them and as Toni said Beau failed his mother's test anyways.
I think Toni's hyper fem room is her attempting to perform (the role of) daughter for her parents.
If both Grace and Roger work for Mona, by default Mona is in control of Toni's life too. I think she's honestly as afraid as Beau is but understands the situation better. She wants him to be able to take control and take himself out, like she was willing to do.
I watched this movie a week ago and it’s been on my mind since, this is an amazing analysis
This video is the most in-depth video I’ve found on RUclips.
Amazing analysis, best part was the credits connecting the audience to the film, i felt bad getting out of my seat and leaving the cinema.
Thanks so much! Haha I was waiting to see if there’d be a post-credits Easter Egg
Excellent analysis. One minor point:Titus Andronicus. Titus wasn’t a cannibal. It is a revenge story. Titus kills the sons of the queen of the Goths, turns them into meat pies à la Sweeney Todd, and feeds them to their mother.
Ok so.......i am obsessed with Ari and film and filmmaking......I search far and wide across youtube for Beau Analysis videos and im always disappointed because it hSnt been very long since the movie came out.
But this video......****chef kiss
Perfect! So many details you pointed out that i knew would be there but never noticed because i only saw it twice!
Excellent excellent work!
And a damn fine taste in movies you have!
Ahh thank you so much, I worked really hard on the video!!! 🥰 pt 2 out today
Are you into surrealism that is even more intense and “fever dream”, without much structure or purpose to it? I know some movies that are reallyyy wacky haha

You're welcome! There's enough negativity on RUclips to go around! It's good to say good things about what we like! 🥳
Oh and yes of course the weirder the better!
@@justingreen2432 love that mentality!
They’re quite out there, and kinda felt like they were made solely to have fun haha: Nic Cage’s “Mandy”, and “Willy’s Wonderland”. If you do watch, please let me know what you think🤣
Great review! The best I've seen on this movie:)
About the teenage girl and her lilac sweaters, I have to wonder if that represents the fact that she's their living daughter who is trying to fill the space left by a dead son. She literally kills herself by swallowing too much blue paint. And then when shes dead, all her mom has is two dead kids and the stains of blue paint from her daughters body on her mouth. Thats how I saw it.
If she CHOSE to have her room, a representation of herself, that hyperfeminine, maybe shes been forced to change into someone who doesnt fit into who she actually is anymore, because she's forced to be lilac.
I think the nice guy husband potrays doctor & lady the nurse. The home that he his breakdown is a mental health facility. The teenage girl, an inmate & fat guy, the security. Thats why he had the tracking the medical device. Then he went and kileD his mom & then commited cuiside in the pond out of guilt.
YOOO Im new to your channel, absolutely LOVE this breakdown
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support! 🥹🫶🏽
Some very good finds.
Thank you! Hope my pt 2 is just as good 🥰
@@MicaelaLozano yes, i mean it. It's the beginning of a true delving it to the film, which i was looking for. Myself i'm too imperceptive for it.
it=in
you can re-edit this with hd clips online now :)
Is it finally out!!!? I was scouring the internet for so long before making it
Loved this movie.
Dont hate on Midsommar lady that one too had to do with mental health
Haha I have my reasons! I wanted it to be so much more unsettling than it was
agree there is an ok drama movie in Midsommar (and a good one in hereditary) but it is buried under a slue of horror architypes and dull scenes.
