Tried the OM6 on my iPhone, and it's a amazing! The gesture control is a neat addition, making shooting so much more fun. Definitely impressed with its portability and ease of use.
Thank you! I finally found a stabilization test for all Stabilizers. It's funny to think that some reviewers focus on the extra features where in fact, STABILIZATION is the primary purpose of these devices. Salute!
Thank you for the review. I have a question about the gimbal in your video. At 8:43, I noticed a slight rocking back and forth motion. It could be due to accidental touch, but I've also observed the same with my Hohem iSteady Mobile Plus. I thought it was the way I was walking or a calibration issue, but it continues whether the gimbal is stationary or moving. Is this a common occurrence or is there a potential issue?
This is a decent review! I am an Insta 360 Flow user but I’ve seen where many have given it a terrible review for the degree to which it can tilt. You didn’t mention this but am sure you are aware. How do you square this shortcoming vs the others?
bought an open box osmo 3 and it got my phone pretty warm and overall felt cheap, yes i balanced it properly. bought the hoheem m6 kit and wow, i am impressed all around with this thing. being new to these its very user friendly, feels nice in your hand and its movements are very smooth. i really can not see the insta flow coming close to the hoheem m6
this video showed the tracking on homhem was basically non functioning and the 360 was excellent. have you found the tracking does work?does hohem have object tracking?
Because of the design the M6 has unrestricted angles which are restricted on the flow because of where the flow attaches to the phone. When in v logging "mode" one can see the top of the flow in the shot which is a deal breaker if you do lots of v logging. However the AI flow editing app makes up for any of this.
I NEEDED TO READ THIS COMMENT. Ex-Owner for the insta360. I do real estate walkthroughs… man the tilt on the insta360 is SO BAD. The short arm really hinders and will face down and messes the verticals. Accessibility and portability was great though. But I need the best tilting. I was thinking about the M6! Thanks for this comment
Thank you for the in-depth review. Would love your thoughts on tilt angles. Is the flow the only of the three with a cold shoe mount, e.g., for a shotgun mic? It looks like the Flow’s tracking movement is very robotic while the others are smooth. It’s too bad the others lost you with any distance. DJI was much smoother when it came to stabilization on your ninja walk and run, which is what these things are built for, so not sure why it got the worst marks. The Flow was just okay, and the M6 was… bad. You also missed commenting on the DJI’s Zoom/Focus wheel, which seems like a great feature as it opens up more creatively. I wouldn’t want to have to tap and pinch my camera screen while using a gimbal. Others swear by their DJIs, so not sure why it’s getting a bad rap here? I’ll be using one mainly to get smooth walk-and-talk footage where I might stop to interview someone but also get dynamic action shots. Leaning toward the Flow if it covers above. I guess I just will have to monitor the tracking and deal with using third-party software.
Does the Insta360° have that gesture control? or how do I activate the face-tracking if I'm shooting by myself meaning I'm the only one in front of the camera with noone to press on tracking? You should have thought about this instead of just jumping into the actual tracking without showing us how it got activated. Now, with Osmo mobile's gesture, that's pretty self-explanatory. Lastly, you did the ok gesture with the Hohem M6 using the stock camera app and it recognised your face but, how does the stock Iphone camera app connect to the Hohem gimbal for the gimbal to take control?
Hello, congratulations on your video. It was your effort much appreciated. A complete and exhaustive video. I am oriented towards insta360flow and hohem m 6 but I have no news on the compatibility of the hohem m6. I have a Xiaomi mi 9 lite. Currently I can not spend a lot of money because last Friday I dropped the gymbal osmo 4 and iPhone in the deep sea. I bought a cheap one that is on the flow list. Now I do not know about hohem because I can not find the compatibility list.. Thanks, give me a wise suggestion (consider my loss)
I have an S24 Ultra and im shooting with Freewell lenses, so there is only one possible option for me. The phone is 232g + 110-180g lenses. The OM6 (max 280g) and the 360 Flow (max 300g) are both not capable of handling that weight, the M6 can (max 400g).
thanks for getting back to me, I'd need a remote to be able to take pictures of myself while I'm a few meters away and the timer isn't really convenient for that unfortunately @@ZanderRound
@@Sir-Kay You can use your native camera and depending on your make/model, and can have all the settings available. My S23+ does all I need. I don't need the Joy app.. The Filmic app does work because you are not using the Joy. There are videos talking about it. I hope this helps.
@@ShamanVybezmusicismedicine Could you give me the link or titles to videos talking about it? I would like to see how the Filmic Pro does the object/face tracking etc.
Let me ask a clear question. With my brand new Samsung A55, will I be locked to 1080 and just 30 fps or lower? I know the dude says no in his review, and that I will be able to record at 60 FPS with tracking on the Instaflow 360. However, other reviewers indicated otherwise.
Sigh. I own so many new gimbals. I do not have the Insta360 flow yet, but I shall. I think it is great for doing outdoor instructions for students as I move through subject areas. - - - On a side note, what wireless mic are you using. Sounds really great.
Yeah, it's not close. The Hohem is so much more versatile. Great tilt range, high capacity so you can use lenses and filters with ease, and the AI sensor is not restricted to an app. That means you can use the Samsung app or Filmic Pro / 3rd party to access 4k 60 fps. (not an issue for Iphone). The Hohem simply allows you to take better footage in more situations. I do love the size and convenience of the Flow. Size and quick setup is great. Also, obviously the Flow app is really nice. If you can afford it, get both 😅!
I have an OM6 and do like it, but it is disappointing that you can’t switch between rear and front facing cameras while filming, the pan rotation is limited, the battery life is the shortest of the bunch, and you can’t use it to charge your phone. It is compact and comfortable to use, but I agree with your assessment. I’m planning to pick up a Flow primarily for the extra battery life and ability to charge my phone. I also like that the Flow is even more compact for travel. Thanks!
I am laughing at these filming examples of ytb reviewers, 98% of times these gimballs will never see any of these situations. yeah, Ill go hide behind a tree, usually that's what you do when you are filming someone. NOT or some weird sprints and jumps lol what a gimball needs to have is full motion capability, up down motion and tracking of person in the frame.Thats where inst flow FAILS completelly.
Hiding behind a tree is just a test, shows it can keep an object tracked even when it is temporarily obscured by another object. ""gimbal needs to have is full motion capability, up down motion and tracking of person in the frame"....The flow does all that, it is the others that fail completely.
I think the requirements have changed with the iPhone 15 pro for many and using the blackmagic camera app will be important for many filmmakers. Especially because of the log mode. Of course, the hohem gimbal has the edge there with the AI module.
Compared to Osmo 6 which one do you all prefer (assuming you have used both) I just bought the Osmo 6 but I am thinking about returning it to get this one.

stabilization did work outside the app ? with native camera ?
I hope they add switch mode while recording, since theres a control already its very usefull
What apps would be recommended for use with the Hohem?
