Nice to hear this arrangement, building on the High Life Version, with all the extra layers, melodies and countermelodies and counterpoints--in the first few minutes after the initial melody statement, it sounds a bit like Shorter and Gilmore are playing a notated improvisation, a bit like the Gil Evans arrangements on Miles Davis' Star people? WS was always adding to his compositions like they were organic forms, a plant that just keeps growing...

Sort of thing he and Zawinul did with WR, I guess - sax and synth lines in unison that sounded like they were solos.
