One thought I would like share from my experience is that, always build house with maximum floor area possible, maximum entrance size possible, biggest windows possible, biggest passage way possible, widest stairway possible, tallest room roof possible. As we are not building a house for us alone but for our future generation alone. Vision is important. Even the quality of material matters a lot. The construction companies or contractor have tendency of advising us otherwise due to their limitation in exposure and experience. They even go to the extent of speaking like experts. But it's your dream not their's. So take your time on it.
