I didn’t know that. But I obviously don’t just mean the pitch. He’s dragging out his sentences like Zim and doing a bit of method acting through the autograph sessions. It’s harder and more draining than it looks.
every video I see of him, he just seems to be a very nice and sweet person. I love how he asks the spelling of every name even obvious ones. he knows that misspelling a fans name would be very upsetting to them. as a fan, when one gets an autograph of the celebrity that they adore and/or admire they want to see their name written properly. "Anna, A-N-N-A" "no A-N-A" " oh, only one N" taking that time to ask that makes him an awesome celebrity and an even better person.
Plus it helps avoiding the fans who get really ticked off by misspellings, whereas a handful try to be polite and don't care because it's someone famous. But yeah, he's a great guy.
When I met him a couple years back at a convention, he was sweet as can be. Chill dude who'll do what he can to make your day. I couldn't make my mind up on wich voice for him to do (Zim, Billy, or Daggett) in the shutout for my dad's b-day. All three shows were our favorites to watch together when I was younger. So, he did a Zim-Billy persona for me. Which was funny to hear him split back and forth between the two characters. I'd love to meet him again (if I do, hopefully my dad can be there to see him in person too).
I love how he owns his character for the fans that came to see him. Some actors get butthurt when they have to "play" off the job. Even when you pay them for an autograph they just move you along with a grunt and some frustration.
