i been waiting 40+ years to play something like this (Monkey ws a late 70's/80's tv show and was awesome, i was playing on a vic20 / sinclair spectrum wishing I could play rpgs that included star wars worlds and fantasies like this - now i can.

He just wanted a simple and free life. The heavens don’t trust him, so they started fucking him over which lead to the intro fight. As you saw the golden crown reappear again even though it should have came off after journey to the west. The reason why that the golden crown reappears is because he has evil thoughts and intentions. When he tried to lead the fight into the woods so he could get a better advantage, he unconsciously dragged innocent creatures(animals, people) that are in the woods. The crown deemed this as evil since you are supposed to fight without innocent creatures in harms way.

if you understand chinese, this game instantly becomes 100000% more entertaining, funny, and straight up immersive. seeing Er Lang Shen at the beginning with the dog is such a fucking badass moment. Ultimate rivals of all chinese mythology.
There is an upgrade to make immobilization magic not interrupt light combo, and one for dodge too; you should be using light combo and immobilize the enemy as it's about to counterattack during your combo(there's an upgrade to immobilization better if you time it that way too).

Even though Goku is based on The Monkey King story, I did not know anything about this lore or this fictional character of legend until Jet Li played him in the Forbidden Kingdom With Jackie Chan. Jet Li does not get enough credit, he played The monkey King so perfectly in that film, I feel like I'm watching backstory to Jet Li's character in that film as I'm watching this footage on here. Game looks great, I hope it's at least good enough on PS5, been looking forward to playing it for a few years now, thank you Jet leaf for introducing me to the Monkey King 🐒

It all comes down to preferences. I personally would suggest Chinese but some people dont like the way Chinese sound so it might ruin your experience more than the desync. But yeah, lips arent synced because it was developed with the Chinese Dub in mind.
If you get into Chinese dramas, Wuxia and Xianxia. It changes your life, the artistry alone is so refreshing and intensely beautiful. I find it hard to watch regular Western fantasies.
