The early 90s rave scene was a very special time, there was a lot of love in that scene. Back then you had to call a pager number on the day of the even to get directions to the venue. I still have a bunch of those old rave flyers, I wish I had saved more.
...and we were assured real ecstasy and acid.
Great times, as it was all new, the fashion, music, drugs and the vibes were pure love(most of the time)
Man I feel lucky to have lived it. Who knew we’d end up like this.
@@josephhertzberg2734 definitely wasn't all new mdma has been around since the 70s(made in 1912) and acid since the 60s(made in 1938).

Nobody knew in the 70s,when mdma was being used in therapeutic settings, that melting your face whilst listening to House music was an escalator to heaven..

I'm their age and grew up in Calgary during the same time and used to go to all ages shows and raves at the time. I know exactly what they're talking about! Brings back so many memories. Love seeing them live btw.

PLUR at its peak. I remember my first rave tripping on a triple stack red transformer. I couldnt stop hugging my friend/strangers smiling from ear to ear the entire team. My jaw was so sore the next day i couldnt eat
As the father of a young teen girl this both makes me laugh and terrifies at the same time.
I think the best way to look at is they are going to do what they want to do so instead of making them afraid to tell you be open with them and educate them in a way thats not condescending.

90’s raves gave me some of my best memories ❤️❤️. My first rave was Sasha and Digweed in Atlanta
It takes great spirits to turn a warehouse into a beautiful experience.
Of course the experience comes to an end, but, the important part of the experience, is the neuroplactisity and Networking a Spiritual Family.
Ah, fellow Canadians! This resonates so much with my youth. It was aggravating my best friends had those curfews. I didn't have those limitations... But that "zombies under daylight" thing was always a hazard, especially that one time where we got six feet of snow during the rave and I was stranded with them.

On acid* my friend started puking on the snow____ and i tell him he was puking blood___ ^•^ . Poor kid.
First (and only) time I did acid was at the World Electronic Music Festival, a 3 day outdoor rave in 1999, Sauble Beach, Ontario. I think I got maybe an hour of sleep over a 72 hour period.

The first time I went to a rave was Tiesto in 2010 and he played Feel it in my bones ft. Tegan and Sara and it’s honestly a moment I will never forget
not every open-air electronic music show is a rave. Tiesto has nothing to do with rave parties.

Any event hosting Tiesto post Forbidden Paradise mixes in the 90s is not an authentic or real rave...definitely not in 2010...Tiesto was pretty much the world's most famous and mainstream DJ by the time adagio for strings came out in 2005...

Leftover serotonin still pumping through their blood. Lol if I've rolled the night before... there are, "morning afters" where I'm not hungover or still coming down... I still feel the love and either soak it all in or tell someone how much I appreciate them. Lol you can't plan for it... it just happens. And often times its just as euphoric as the night before. I've had pleasant mornings. Still on one!... but clear headed.

theyre not in a relationship, theyre identical twins
they're twins and have been in a band together since they were teens! they're very identical. their hair here helps distinguish them but at some instances only people that know them well can tell them apart 🤣
