They summarized right. Barbecue is about gathering friends to eat some juicy meat while drinking some beers. Very simmilar to the american barbecue but the meat is closer to it's origin. not grinded, not processed, just pure meat roasted with charcoal ( yeah, that delicious smoked slice of pure meat).
The barbecue in Brazil is something that all regions consume nowadays, but the biggest reference in this matter is the barbecue in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, which borders Argentina and Uruguay, the culture in this State is influenced by Spain , due to its neighbors, as well as the immigration of Italians and Germans in the 19th century, here is a video of a typical “ground fire” barbecue. ruclips.net/video/3vJSEbWMbTY/видео.html
Here is another one called "barbecue city", The barbecue is the highlight of the Farroupilha Camp, an event that takes place every year, from September 7th to 22nd, in Porto Alegre, capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in the south of Brazil. The Camp is a tribute to the Farroupilha Revolution, a movement that took place in the 19th century with the intention of freeing the region from the central power of the country. In 2019 there were over 300 "Piquetes" (houses / sheds of unworked timber), making the camp a true city apart. Every day, in the different "Piquetes", and also in restaurants, at any time, there is always meat roasting on ground fire. The barbecue made with whole beef ribs, the Costelão, is a favorite. The ribs are baked for a long time, at least 12 hours, in slow heat. Sheep, chicken and pork are also part of the menu, which also includes dishes such as Carreteiro (rice with beef jerky), "Sheep Espinhaço" with cassava and Entrevero, a mixture of different meats and spices. Also always present, as a main course entree, the salsichão ( a kind of sausage) or the sausage. You need to enable translation for the video. ruclips.net/video/8qfWD4OWGEk/видео.html
Whenever the crazyness is over, if possible, you really should do a food tour around Brasil. If you didn't, you definitely should try an authentic feijoada and a friendly churrasco. There is so many different ways of preparing meat and some unique cheese around Brasil that you'd definitely fall in love with. As the cultural melting pot this country is, things mix and techniques combine to create dishes that people would not be able to think otherwise. Brasil has a saying when it comes to food that is "there are no limits, the are no rules. Municipalities have limits, we don't", which means that there is and shouldn't be a fixed, set way of doing or cooking anything. You can try new things and find new ways to make things even more delicious. If you just check all the hundreds of different styles of making hot dogs around Brasil, you'd already be astounded. Like, literally, if you travel from one state to another, hot dogs are completely different, but unlike hot dogs out of Brasil, every hot dog here is extremely filling and is almost a meal out of how many ingredients there are.
Geweldige film, echt heel goed gemaakt! Sfeer erg goed weergegeven, knap als je op zo'n festival met minimale middelen er toch het maximale uit haalt! Ik zag al wat bekende dingen uit de boeken voorbij komen, leuk! Meer filmpjes en recepten zeker welkom!
Great video man, You enjoyed São Paulo's Churrasco food experience to the fullest! Just one correction: Bacalhau is salted cod fish, an heritage tipical from Portuguese cuisine. We don't really get fresh cod down here.
The idea of paulistas pretending to have the best bbq of Brazil is ludicrous, if you really want to eat a real an best bbq of Brazil you don't go this this gourmetized expansive restaurants, you go to a rancher in the south of Brazil

At this festival, people pay a fixed amount on the ticket and inside they can eat as much as they want, as many portions as they want. But they choose to eat a little bit of each thing to try out as many options as they can
@@carlosrobertocastro1843 Yes you can eat as much as you want. But you only get a little piece of each. I have eaten at these places before....you have to share with all the other people there...they will literally tell you that you cant have more of something and you have to wait for the next piece of meat to come out. It isnt like a buffet where you go up and get what you want....you wait for them to come around and you get a small piece.
@@carlosrobertocastro1843 So now you admit i was right. Go to a TOTALLY different kind of restaurant and it is better....what i said before this place is pathetic.

That isn't Brazilian BBC, more like hipster BBC
Total hipster from Vila Madalena
Sao paulo hipsters are the most cliche ppl ever
Imagine a Vegan watching this!
Cry vegan hahaha
The pigs looked under cooked. I think Cajun Style Hog Roast might have been better presentation and probably better tasting.
Only places for rich people kkkkk
Thats not brazilian bbc
BBQ, not BBC
Meat is not good. Have mercy on living beings
Sao Paulo bbq is the WORST brazilian bbq
If you really want to eat a REAL brazilian bbq you need to go south.
Gaucho bbq is a gift of God.
