Steamrolling Maelstrom With The Basher - Darktide

The new and improved Brunt's Basher Mk3 Bully Club kicks ass, takes names, and chews all your bubblegum. In this video, I am running it on a Skullbreaker build with the Skullcrusher (currently gives +10% damage per stack, up to 80%!) and Thunderous (Brittleness improves Bleed damage, very strong with Batter) blessings, capitalizing on the quick heavy attacks and high stagger values of this weapon to apply said debuffs efficiently and violently.
For my ranged weapon, I chose the Kickback pattly because it's really strong this patch (as explained in my last video) but also because it's strengths in horde clear and Specialist deletion make it a good pairing for the anti-armor Bully Clubs.

Gotta love slapping around them monstrosities. Even one ogryn can comfortably do it. Heavy - slap -heavy - slap for the chaos spawn. Heavy - heavy - slap for the chaos ogryn. Beast of nurgle is weird though cause you need to slap its back. Anyways, fun video :)

I love this club now that the heavies have reasonable speed. They were so slow before. 1 issue though, heavy 2. It comes out faster after light 1 or heavy 1, but it still comes out rly slow after light 3. Or if you do push attack light, that also gets you light 3. You’ll see what I mean if you test it, doing a heavy after light 3 feels super sluggish.

What are the best attack chains for the basher? Still struggling to decide whether I like the mk1 club or the mk3 basher more... Not sure the mk1 higher single target is very necessary, the basher seems to do the job pretty well.

The basher has a lovely moveset. You can treat it like a bull butcher and spam lights in a horde, you can just spam heavies if you want, you can loop a light and a heavy (either heavy will work), you can push attack into another light which will give you a sweet double overhead bonk. Heavy 1 with 2 lights after will get you light 3 (quick overhead) for a rly fast and reliable kill combo on shotgunners or gunners. Two heavies and a push attack light pair for ragers and maulers. This weapon is just jazz, you can do whatever you want with it

@@agedgouda8809 What do you think blessings wise? I noticed there's a swell of support for thunderous and skullcrusher recently, people coming away from thrust. From my own testing, the kill time was quicker doing light heavies without thrust then doing two fully charged heavies with thrust on a crusher. But at the same time with skullcrusher, I didn't think stagger lasted long enough to hit it a second time to proc skullchrusher on a few targets after the first heavy attack. Been scratching my head for a while on the optimal blessings.

@@RomulanShip unfortunately im not sure about blessings because im still mat poor and havent got good ones on my basher. i still love the thing without them, but if i had to pick the ones i want, i think i would agree with thunderous and skullcrusher. thrust will always be good but i feel like the playstyle i want with the basher doesnt lend itself well to thrust.
youre probably right abt some targets being too stagger resistant to rly benefit from skullcrusher, i didnt think abt that. mixing in some slaps w/ your heavies against things like ragers may give you a better chance of knocking them down so youll definitely have the bonus dmg. in any case brittleness is just rly good and i didnt know it worked to make ur bleed better
