Very thankful that you have gave respect to the Indian army because my father is also a retired army and he had a duty in Leh Ladakh when he did not get a retired in an army I usually listen from father that difficult and dangerous it was to defendanted lekin fhir v ek Grokha mai jo apney desh kay leye ejat , jajba aur pyar apney dil mai hota hai hota hai to there will be no hardent to do his job, that's I have learnt from father. I have listened about peonggong lake from my father but I watched 3 idot film and another film I have forgot Ibut I have remembered the song Sasoo mai in that film this lake has been picturized but however you have taken video of each an every part of the valleys and peonggong lake that is Awesome and mind blowing hats up to you also.

Hatchbacks and Sedans can easily do Leh-Nubra and Pangong. Most of the road is in good shape.
Major issue is reaching Leh via Manali road. The water streams near Baralacha pass can cause problems to small cars in monsoon time. When I visited Leh in July (before Monsoons), I met many travelers who came by cars like Swift and Verna etc from Manali.

I can well understand when tourists are harassed by locals and in particular a handful of illiterate, stubborn and disgusting cab drivers ... drivers can either make your journey memorable or absolutely shatter it ... The tourism department should take care and understand that it's because of tourists that these remote places and people thereof earn their bread and butter ....
