Not sure they lasted a long time they still looked good when I took them off. I think I had around 2000 or 3000 miles on them, not sure I don't keep track of the miles since my bike didn't have a trip meter.
I think mine rubs near the fork brace the paint is all rubbed off but it doesn't bother me. It doesn't rub A LOT. I think the wheel flexes and it rubs.
The question is not stupid. I will try to explain even English is not my native language. But it would be easier and faster to just google "rim lock tire" and look at the pictures for easy understanding If you ride a bike with a lot of power and not much air pressure, the tire can spin on the rim. This also can damage the tube if the valve is torn out. A rim lock is placed inside the tire and it has a screw(looking like a valve) and it presses the tire towards the rim. The rim lock is tightened with the screw. Look at his tire you can see it in the video or just look at google pictures.
A better description is a tire BEAD lock. It's a plastic insert, and has threaded stud that looks like a valve stem, but it's for tightening the bead lock, it grips the tire bead against the rim internally, so the tire cannot spin even if it is flat.
Shinko 241 is a great street tire it's nice and soft and sticky. I haven't ridden with it in the rain much but I have ridden it on the Rubicon trail on wet rocks and it's pretty slippery.
I think it's about the same. It is the gearing that makes the different. I have the supermoto wheels with the 48T sprocket and the dirt wheels with a 54T sprocket and it is the exact same ratio. But yeah the weight of the tire might affect it.
👏👏👏👏 finally someone that said what size they were in the review
I appreciate you videos, so I'll have some idea on how to maintain a Sur-ron when Im able to afford one.
Did you have to get new tire tubes too?
How many miles on pavement would you get out of a rear without killing it going around 20-40mph

Do the sr241's work with sealant like stans tubeless sealant etc? I am looking for something self sealing in the event of a puncture
Something like slime? It should work there are tubes inside the tires.
I was getting a lot of rubbing with the 2.75 up front with the factory RST. I moved then to the rear and have a 2.5 vee that looks identical.
Yeah I have the RST Killah and it looks like it's rubbing a bit, but I just let it rub I don't notice it rubbing.
@@hadesomegamoto7639 that’s not the best idea lmao
Hi Hades and other where can i find a rim lock that suits for this setup?
Warp9 Racing sells titanium rimlocks. Lighter and easier to balance.
www.warp9racing.com/product/pro-rim-locks/
looks like you got your bike registered?
We're they 2.75x19? Or larger, curious with rubbing the front stock RST forks.

What PSI do you recommend for the 241 for asphalt riding?
I would recommend around 28psi is good for pavement riding
@@hadesomegamoto7639 thanks

Sorry to sound stupid but what is a rim lock?

How does the 241 do in the rain on street?

bet u loose acceleration and range with bigger tires tho so it all depends what u want and how u ride

241 isn't that great. It's good for the road and clean trails. Otherwise, it sucks.
Yep any loose or soft dirt and its a slippin slide
