Well this one I didn’t really have to frame, since it was against a brick wall. But normally i leave the existing wall and frame 2 new walls up against the old wall. One below the niche and the other above it. Make sense? Thanks for watching!
The switch box that feeds the transformer is a remodel box. I can easily remove the remodel box and reach the transformer. The connections are made in the blue box. It’s all still working perfectly too.
Why would you hide the controller module/transformer (whatever it is) inside the wall? What are you supposed to do if you ever need to repair it? It should be in a location that’s accessible.
@@Bbbbbbbbbbb-f1w This particular job was at my own house and I didn’t do a very good job of keeping track of my time. In my area something like this would cost around $3,000+/- in labor only. Materials were probably under $1,000
You need to buy the best quality money can buy for these lights. Cheap one will burn out and it's a bitch to take these off if you don't have access from backwall
The music really complements your work.
What lighting strip did you go with? I've used some behind a floating shelf and it doesn't give off that consistent lighting like this one does.
Ugh! Was hoping to see how you framed the nice given that it was from wall to wall!

@@realdanbuildsit gotcha! thanks for the response! looked great
Thanks for the video---What is the LED system you are using? Where did you get it?
I bought it from Amazon, I wish I would have bought a better one!
Did you bury the LED transformer in the wall? If so it’s illegal af

Hi i want a gentle warm white glow is 600lumen 3000kelvin led strip suitable if i open them i cant return them 🙈
Yes you will probably like that. A regular old 60 watt incandescent bulb is 2700k and roughly 800 lumens.

The blue electrical box is a remodel box and is easily removable. I can access the driver easily by taking that box out. Thanks for watching!
@@realdanbuildsit I see. Good job. How much did you charge for your labor only for doing that particular job?

Nice1 But sadly, it will be overcrowded with ugly, large Plastic soap/shampoo bottles. You can bet on that!!
For sure! 🤣 people gotta live though. Also thanks for watching and saying it’s nice 😃
Which brand tub did u install at this particular job?
It’s the Sterling Ensemble tub, I get them at Menards or Lowe’s. Everyone always loves it because it’s really deep and the price is right. 🙌🏼
