Butcher block install with Trend worktop jig in US

I install Allen and Roth Acacia butcher block countertops from Lowe's. The main tools I used were a European style worktop jig from Trend, a Festool Domino for alignment in the corner, and a track saw to make the straight cuts. Thanks for watching!

    You may want to consider using flat apron flashing next time if it ever gets damaged now you’re going to have to take the roofing off

    What lighting strip did you go with? I've used some behind a floating shelf and it doesn't give off that consistent lighting like this one does.

      @@realdanbuildsit ive worked on many as a kid helping my dad who was a certifide diesel tech. Those engines sure scream. I remember one engine that i think blew out the turbo seals and ran away until it got red hot and siezed up. It was a military surplus 300kw generator. I ran out the shop bay so fast thinking it was going to grenade and throw pistons and rods at me.

      @realdanbuildsit Год назад

      @@rod1499 i have heard of that happening! I made sure to move the throttle by hand to make sure the injector racks were free. If one injector sticks open the rack won’t move so they will all be open on that bank 😬. Thanks for sharing your story, I’m going to be going through the top end of this motor and setting the valves, jakes, and running the rack over the next couple weeks and I’ll record as much as I can

    Where I live they have changed regulation that requires the post to sit on footers and the structure must be free-standing and not attached to the house. In the county we can still get away with something that makes more sense, like this.

    Автор ответил под одним из комментариев, что обработано медным консервантом. У нас это называется медный купорос. Изучил интернет по этой теме! Да есть такая обработка древесины, НО!!! только очень хорошо высушенная древесина, проникает максимум на 3см. и надо периодически повторять обработку т.к. со временем обработка вымывается! Но под землей Вы этого не сделаете! Верхняя часть от смены погоды со временем все равно потрескается и грибки, жуки́ и т.д. все равно заведутся! Вывод: трата денег!
