Got my Wowgo3 2 weeks ago and blown away by it. Haven't boarded since I was a kid and that is a VERY long time ago with my 52'nd birthday a few days away. They are super stable and smooth and the wheels compared to the ones I was used to will go over almost anything. After a short warm up I did the 6 mile bike path to work and back with a huge smile on my face. Build quality excellent. Super smooth acceleration and the flex in the board is amazing. If you are on the sidelines jump in you wont regret it.
Do it, definitely. On either one. Learning to longboard has been one of the best things I've ever done. It's extremely liberating, and great exercise as well. I definitely recommend Bustin Boards, or Loaded longboards. Looking to get a electric skateboard myself soon.
Go for one man. I started longboarding a bit before getting into esk8. It so nice just carving down sidewalk and you can get techniques down before speeding at 20+ mph. Landyachtz, Arbor, or Loaded (my current) are great brands to start or just want quality 1st
if you're looking to get an electric board meepo and wowgo are good cheap entry-level brands that still make decent quality boards I have meepo V3 and I liked it so much I'm thinking about getting another meepo board. I have been saving up for the meepo AWD. I also have heard mostly good things about wow go being really comfortable and having a super flexy deck. Basically if you want performance like quick acceleration and high top speeds get meepo but if comfort is more important to you I would recommend a wowgo
@@kevinchan4951 the limited "turbo" mode on the backfire, 22-23mph is my sweet spot and just the over all look of the wowgo. It was damn close but I want the high speed mode all the time and I don't need to go over 25mph
Hey Ronnie another fun chill vid thank you and keep up the good work! Just a pointer for you - time to pad up! You are starting to do some real speed and our environment is never predictable. Your buddy was lucky he was so fit and fast on his feet to run out of that gate hit, not everyone is. Your are attracting a lot of non skaters to the world of eskating and without having acquired basic skills the likelihood of injury is very high, especially with the speeds we can travel at. You are an ambassador for our fledgling sport, do the right thing and set a good example to those who are new to the sport. I've been skating for 43 years now and falling is part of skating, we know that, but at the speeds which these boards can achieve the wipeouts are much bigger. You are a smart dude, sooner or later the pavement is gonna get you - be ready! Thanks again for the great vids, it would be great to see you on a few more road trips riding some different areas with some different crews. Peace out and enjoy
Yeah, I hit a manhole cover going downhill close to 25mph last Sunday on my Backfire G3, and I got wrecked. So, I'm use to riding 20mph+ without gear, been riding for well over a year now with electric skateboards through almost all weather conditions, have fallen a few times prior but only minor bruises. I also do have prior experience skate boarding, and going downhill on longboards. Most of the time since I'm fast on my feet, I feel confident I can jump off and run. Unfortunately that day, everything happened totally unexpectedly. I saw the manhole cover from 10-15 feet away, decided it looked safe to go through, let go of my accelerator so I could just coast thru it. As I was going through it, the back part of the board got caught, and jumped up for a split second causing instant wobble death. I was not prepared at all that this was going to happen but it slung me up/off the board at a weird angle. Took a face plant after trying to stop the force with my left hand but couldn't handle all the force at once so my face took some damage. Anyways, didn't know how bad it was until I stood up and noticed blood was dripping onto the ground. Messed up my upper left side of my head from glasses ripping up the left side of my head, banging my left eye to the ground (thank the gods I didn't get a concussion), tore up my right knee along with both sides of my pants, front left waist go ripped up along with brand new jacket I just bought an hour prior, back right side bruised/cuts, right hand/palm, right elbow, and my whole entire left forearm got it the worse with deep road rash. If this was any other ordinary person, they would be alot more messed up. Moral to the story, had I had at least gloves, and pads on, I would've left with slight bruises at best. You might think you're invincible but the moment you get caught going at a fast speed which will eventually happen, you will realize that looking less cool to be safe is 100% worth it. Also, 2 hours after I cleaned up my wounds, I went out to buy a helmet and pads. Went back out to ride the next day but currently not going to be going past 20mph until I'm fully healed but also no longer a speed demon.
@@alphatech1165 I don't wear any gear when I'm commuting but me and my friend like to race our boards at top speed on a foot path near our houses and I always wear a helmet when doing that, I was down there by myself today just practicing the route and I think I got some interference with my remote which stopped my board so suddenly that I didn't have time to react and basically went head-first into the ground I literally remember hearing my helmet smack into the ground and then getting up and thinking "that would have sucked without a helmet"

There is a bridge on my way to work with metal plates connecting it to the road on either side. At high tide its not a problem as the plates are level.

Also im working a summer job, im not making a whole a lot of money but $5.25 an hour should be good enough to buy an e-board by the end of the summer do you think i should try to save up the extra money for a wowgo 3 or just get the 2s.
The 2s is a great board and the 3 is excellent too. If it was me, for the money, grab a 2s as they are on discount and upgrade to the Sanyo 8.5Ah battery, you'll have so much more range and so much more fun, then later if you want to, you can swap the front truck for a Paris, which is about 30bucks. Good luck with the job and have fun.
Fasma Swagitton you are most welcome 😊 remember that you can choose the battery size on the website when ordering, so you can push the buttons and see the total cost. Enjoy
I would have gown down hard in my 1980 chassis. 20 years ago I might have been able to run it off like Marlin did. He needs to be a little more careful.
Your friend is wearing his helmet super wrong. The straps are to be adjusted so that the front edge comes down to your brows the way you have it, covering the forehead. Otherwise a faceplant will still smash you frontal lobe to mush.
NLS Pro will handle janky roads no problem, but proper AT play is completely out of the question. But yeah, pound for pound NLS Pro is still hands down the best board in the midrange.
Does your friend there understand how helmets work? If he smacks his head backward into the ground, the rim is gonna try to crack his neck. Probably not gonna happen... But there's a reason you're not supposed to have it hanging that far back on your head :P

bruuuhhh!!!, how in the hell did you run that off....lol
Thoughts exactly. Like that was very lucky of him
He’s the Asian Usain Bolt
@@RonnieSarmiento indeed...lol
Ride around chill again it's fun to watch
Just put up a new one 😎
Hey ronnie, i live in dc and i was riding my longboard down to brookland near catholic university when i fell on a crack in the sidewalk. It turns out i tore the ligaments in my wrist lmfao.
@@edhumm wow... thats a whole game plan, thx bro
Fasma Swagitton you are most welcome 😊 remember that you can choose the battery size on the website when ordering, so you can push the buttons and see the total cost.
Enjoy
hey, what r u using to film?
Allen Chen an invisible selfie stick lol
@@wowgoboard wait actually... now that I rewatched the vid, I do see a shadow resembling a selfie stick O.O how is the stick invisible...
Allen Chen he must added some effects to the video after recording some kind of video editing
Insta 360 one x. Check the link in description for a free invisible selfie stick
In March of 2020, Do you think wowgo3 at $499 is still worth it?
Still a great board!
Bought both of these boards and they’re both awesome in they’re own way
Get it kev
Agree 100%
Hey hope I can get wowgo
I feel like you should go ahead and get one.
Review the ownboard w2 please
Okay I got you
I like that 360 cam
Ronnie, you should have swapped boards for the speed test just to verify because of rider weight.
I’m like 25lbs heavier than him so results would probably be the same
I would have gown down hard in my 1980 chassis. 20 years ago I might have been able to run it off like Marlin did. He needs to be a little more careful.
President Trump looks good with the beard 🤙
Kevin yep Kevin it would be a big magnificent beard as pictured.
He made it over, he said he jumped off cause I scared him
Wowgo 3 vs Ownboard w2
Plz
Your friend is wearing his helmet super wrong. The straps are to be adjusted so that the front edge comes down to your brows the way you have it, covering the forehead. Otherwise a faceplant will still smash you frontal lobe to mush.
If you ever come to North Florida, I'm down to eskate and chill!
Damn ronnie. I got a 2s and you gunna make me get a g2t..
Hahah eskate probs
love u ronnie
Can you make another vid and your dad is included. 4th of July cook out with dad is a good one. Oh yea, make him laugh will you!
Haha that’s a fun idea!
You get used to backfire's brakes, honestly by now my g2t could break even harder, I also use them to break the rear loose
make more skate and chill
Ok I will accept your demand
how wowgo3 drives on a bad road ?
If road bad, bad ride, if road good, good ride
I'm planning to buy NLS pro meepo...... :) with 100mm wheels.
@Hunter D will i go for AT?
@Hunter D my main reason for getting bigger wheels is that i was on cast for 15 days when i bail using a standard deck and wheels :) hehehehe ouch
NLS Pro will handle janky roads no problem, but proper AT play is completely out of the question. But yeah, pound for pound NLS Pro is still hands down the best board in the midrange.
I used your wowgo 3 discount code!
Sweet, thanks
Does your friend there understand how helmets work?
If he smacks his head backward into the ground, the rim is gonna try to crack his neck. Probably not gonna happen... But there's a reason you're not supposed to have it hanging that far back on your head :P
backfire customer service is the tits! love those guys
Wtf My WowGo 2 starts to wobble when i go 30km/h
Gotta strengthen those ankles!
@@RonnieSarmiento working on it bro!
Bro everyone knows the wowgo has more torque and is way faster in that 5-15mph range than the backfire. No comparison
Ya don't want to just let go of the acceleration either..
gotta go fast
Electric skateboard Super fun. I would like to find an empty reservoir or something with giant walls. Maybe an aqueduct. so I can really carve this s*** out of this thing at about 15 miles an hour...one thing I found out electric skateboarding with shorts on can lead to( road rash).
so if you're wearing shorts. probably should have some knee pads on.yes I went flying at 1 miles an hour. On the dog walk. when the dog lunged at another dog. I put on the break and went flying at 1 mile an hour. Scratchy rashy bump on the hip... Hey it's all good at 58 I've fallen a million times.!
started skateboarding at 5 years old.
I’ve always wanted to carve a reservoir 🤔
@@RonnieSarmiento in the neighborhood I grew up in . they emptied the reservoir above us on the hill. It's stayed empty for 4 years . We did skateboard it. Very rough surface of asphalt.but like an air-filled tire like evolve would have just been incredible the biggest bowl you can imagine a bowl that's the size of city block ... If I was young and had the time. I would Google Earth to find another one
put bigger wheels on the wowgo and they'll be the same speed and acceleration
Video format looks wonky :) Fast boards.
Wonky in a good way?
Feature me in ur vidz
