Your videos helped me decide on several of the places I chose to go and a few places I chose not to go. Thanks for taking the effort to put these videos out 🙏🏻 I will be including links to both of our channels in my upcoming video of crossing wide bay bar next week.
PS. not seeing the card or link to the new channel in the video or description

Can you do a time lapse of a tide in the Whitsundays please. I hear they’re massive. 👍
P.S. REALLY appreciate the anchor ball! 👍
I’ve had boaties, here in NZ, rock up and ask what the black thing on the bow is all about! 😱😐

How do you get VMR Tincan from just north of Noosa? Maybe they have a repeater on Double Island Point or somewhere there?

Not sure where the repeater is, but pretty easy to contact them on channel 80.

Hey Norm, have you ever done a video on your anchor setup? I'm completing a 40ft solar powered cat. The original builder already bought a brand new Lofrans Kobra windlass and hinged bow roller. I have yet to buy an anchor but forum members suggest a 20kg anchor with 30m of 10mm chain. What:s your thoughts on this and what setup have you got? Thanks for any help you can give, Al.

Yeah Alan, I think 10mm is a bit big and 30m is a bit short.
I carry 60m of 8mm Short link TESTED chain (don't buy the Chinese stuff. Did it once and had links separating). I use a 20kg Sarca (Great Anchor). The Lofrans Kobra should be a great windlass.
      Hope this helps.

@@MotorSailingforOldDudes That's great Norm. What length and type of rope do you have attached to the chain (if any) and what device do you use to attach it to the chain? Do you use a bridle and if so where does it attach on your boat? Thanks for the reply so far.
