TO ALL THOSE WHO ASK: All the sounds you hear are onboard my Scala -- however, not all are factory-installed. The beauty of this "Open Art System" is that it is open-ended -- I can add sounds and effects and edit them to my heart's content. The horse whinny at the end is a sound effect I added, as well as the "whip-slap" you hear throughout. The drums & rhythm have been edited to add the sleigh bells and the horse clip-clops [tuned woodblocks]. The reason you don't see me manually changing sounds is that the changes have to happen so quickly, I map everything (changes) to pre-sets, which I then change with a [left] toe switch on the expression pedal. If you watch really closely, you might see my foot move to make those changes. But it takes good timing, and lots of practice! Thanks for all your great comments!
David, you played this, one of my favorites, and did an excellent job. I loved all the different sounds that you added to this Scala. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
omg, now the man is shooting at us too....he,he!!! - phenomenal performance, David! wonder why YT didn´t notify this song to me, i just came by here...hm... i commented your Winter WONDERerland to, but i dont se my comment, anyway, again, brilliant performance on both songs!, and nice Christmas feeling! - Levi
Hi David Thank you for this wonderful Christmas song. The horse at the end of the songs I like very well. (hahaha) Greetings from Oldenburg and wish a happy Christmas Uwe
Hi David, that`s a wonderful arrangement, perfect playing and registration and an interesting presentation! All together, - outstanding!!! That I`m always waiting for more, it`s your guilt. Have a nice time, William.
@ElectonePlayer Andri, your comment made me smile -- BIG! Very clever, your words, and I am most appreciative. Thanks so much, and have yourself a merry Christmas, too! David
Bravo David! I was just thinking how it would be nice to see some Xmas music from you! Loved the arrangement including all the special effects and of course watching your foot work.
You remind me of the late great Jim Harris. He had a 1980's Technics FA1 organ that he could make it come to life just like you do. I can just imagine what he could do with a Wersi Scala. Great upload. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
@MrKeys57 I'm glad you like the song, Levi -- it is FUN to play! I think YT is playing games with us; I received email notification that you put comment on Winter Wonderland, and when I try to reply. I find no comment! Merry Christmas to you, my friend! David
Beautiful song and fingering! Your fingers look as if they dance on the keyboard. Obviously the Wersi Scala has very many beautiful (and also funny) sounds on boards. My EL-series definitely have fewer sounds. And to my surprise, your Scala is also very strong: it even has one HP (horse power)... #LOL Merry Christmas to you and your family, David! May all your dreams and wishes come true.
Get outta here!!! Even the horse at the end!!! This is a GREAT arrangement you've come up with. I'm impressed (and I'm not easily impressed). This is a pretty impressive advert for Wersi (who I read are somewhat in trouble with high pricing?). I for one am going to look more into these terrific instrument sounds. Please tell me if you sampled the 'horse' separately? Don't tell me it's 'in there'!! Keep on playing these excellent arrangements!! Well done!
Did you have all those wonderful sounds stored on presets? There was no way to change them in 'real' time I'm sure. Great stuff David. You are a consummate artiste!

so it must take some time to "set up" (compose) a song (or symphony) before playing. Well done.

Beautifully set to music. It's great.

*rolling on floor, laughing* Ben, the chord I used for the horse is a neigh-sharp minor with an augmented 9th.
