Farnborough. Gulfstream G600/650 departures. Planespotting. 16 May 2023.

Here are 3 different Gulfstream G650s filmed departing Farnborough during the afternoon today. First up is San Marino registered G600 T7-CAPE. I'd never noticed the thrust reverser buckets being deployed on these during the taxi before - but you'll see them in use on this aircraft as well as one other in the film. Presumably this is a form of braking to avoid over use of the wheel brakes and the heat gain that would accumulate from prolonged braking during the taxi out?
Next is G600 Malta Jet 9H-ITW departing to Nice followed by Bermuda registered G650 VP-BXB departing to Bedford- again using the thrust reverser buckets during the taxi.
