This is prob going to be my longest comment (& on ur shortest video 🙃). For context: I'm 54, menopausal w salt & pepper awkward length hair, living in the Caribbean. During the pandemic I decided to start growing my hair & take care of it myself (used to always go the barber and cut it low). That's when I discovered Natural hair content on YT, and just love all the different personalities and preferences. This video made me realize I really haven't taken the time to understand the following: what is glycerin, what are humectants, silicones etc. 🤷🏿♀️ Generally tho I embrace the frizz I get, which isn't too much. Leave- In Conditioner is a must for me every wash day. Anyway great video as usual 💯
This video was so helpful. I just realized all my products have glycerin, and I've never thought about how they could be adding to the frizz in my hair during the summer. Thank you!!!
So grateful I found your channel and this video. At first I thought I wasn’t leaving my twistout in long enough to dry. But I left it in for three days and my hair was still frizzy! In another video you mentioned not blow drying with high heat because it breaks the cast. I also band but my hair shrinks right back up as soon as I go outside. So….going to try some of these products. Really trying to fight the shrinkage-not frizz so much.
Gurrrrl I live in the south of Florida (112 degrees and 99% humidity) and after 4 years I FINALLY figured out what keeps my hair from frizzing. Soultanicals Mango Dip Detangling Slip and Kinky Curly Curling Custard and throw it in a bun. All day every day. Anything else and my hair is a cotton ball. 😂
I live in Phoenix where it’s 108 but there is very little humidity. This video doesn’t really apply to me but I just love to hear your helpful tips while supporting your channel.
I never thought it could get so hot in Detroit... OMG it is 99° right now as we speak and the humidity is high as heck 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵🥵 THANKS FOR THE TIPS!!!!
A lot of good info here. I will have to watch again with a pen and pad. I have such a hard time doing my hair wet (usually style damp or damn near dry) the shrinkage is unbelievable ...I really don't see how yall do it but I'll keep trying
@@nicholehamilton5844 so I tried this method from another one of her videos I watched last night- after washing, use a leave in, a cream, and a mousse on wet hair for a twist out. It didn't come out bad at all but I know I'll be retwisting tonight b/c its soft plus my hair never holds. I stay busted. Give this a shot.
I will try this. Perhaps I just can't do these styles. Tried Giovanni LA Hold and TGIN leave in because Giovanni is a harder hold, but my hair is dry. Maybe I'll just do these twice a week and then just bun to save my ends.
I never thought of using the Paul Mitchel for blocking humidity. I haven't blowdry or flat iron in two year. So since I do wash n go should I use it as a last step ( a dîme size )

You're welcome!
Please, what do you think about using a jelly like as I am as leave in conditioner?

I frequently used the Mango Dip and Fro'zen gel from Soultanicals when I lived in Florida

@@nicholehamilton5844 that's a plan, I hope to hear it worked out for you
Giovanni is too hard of a hold for a twist out. If you want to use a jelly or lighter hold gel
Yes the humidity in these ATL streets 🤣
Straight disrepectful
Yessss leave in conditioners!🤣❤️❤️

Achia! I'm tryna cop your tank top for sale but the only size available is a small. You know when you will have any larger sizes? Thanks 🙂🙂🙂
I'm sorry but I do not know when they will restock. Supply chain issues are annoying for sure
