    What was the name of OTHER Old English poem they kept mentioning? (I'd like to see it written down please)

      Sure. I believe the poem you're referring to is the Old English WALDERE. You can find a text and translation of this work in the appendix added to 2nd edition of Tom Shippey's BEOWULF translation.

    Did I understand that correctly. Some Germans called Attila "little daddy" because they liked him? Is thier some sort of "big daddy" that this was in reference to?

    didn't we call idi amin big daddy or something like that, and it was disparaging not complementary.
