    It is incredible the level of strategic understanding in that type of quick games for Magnus. Really he proves he is at another level than the rest of the chess players (including the yet formidable Hikaru). Cordially yours

    That was a demonstration of just how good Carlsen is. Form is temporary. Class is permanent! He is on another level. Interesting to see if Kasparov, Fischer or Mr Morphy at their best could beat him?

    Goodness. This was the chess equivalent of Greek statues, what perfect beauty. Stunning from Magnus. ♥

    Magnus defeated Karpov and drew against Kasparov at age 13, has been world number 1 for over a decade now, has 5 classical world championship titles, has multiple world rapid/blitz championship titles, has held all these titles simultaneously on three occasions, has dominated online chess across all formats (including a lead over Hikaru in their online battles), has maintained a highly coveted classical rating of more than 2830 for over a decade now and Hikaru is his unqualified rival????? Get a life 😂😂😂

    Beautiful analysis as usual! Ever since Hikaru started focus on streaming, their rivalry has become quite wholesome

    This is one of those games where it seems like the subtle detail of the king being on h7 is a major problem, losing the game for Naka. Which makes me wonder if h6, which caused a weakness that Kh7 was played to resolve, is the reason it all went wrong. I'm sure it's more complicated than that, being some combination of several factors. Still, at the highest levels one small yet significant strategic mistake can cause tactical nightmares; even to a King's Indian Defense expert like Naka.
    Very interesting game, thanks!

    It's like watching The Thing trying to beat up The Incredible Hulk, at the end of the day, you know who has the edge.

      Also, I like how things are not ‘flashy’ here on this channel. Pausing video to find a move isn’t a mate in four or piece sac, it’s usually a positional move- something you would encounter in your actual matches. Much appreciated!

    Well everyone wants to say Carlsen is worse than Hikaru at bullet.... but to quote Carlsen's recent interview "I am up 4-2 against Hikaru in speed chess" and after the speed chess championship last week he is now up 5-2 and the new speed chess champion.

    Masterful positional play. Magnus believes that he is better player than Naka EVEN in blitz. At least that was his insinuation.

    • @TheChessRunner
      @TheChessRunner Год назад

      World blitz surely suggests that.
      Maybe in pure bullet(1+0) Naka is stronger.

    Hikaku has been psychologically damaged after losing to Magnus in the recent SCC. He even lost to Anish of all players in the AI cup. His confidence has been badly battered all thanks to Magnus and may recover only after Christmas.

    Guess “Rematch” is better Than “revenge”, with all due respect. But probably revenge can keep more the attention and the belic and unfair play… or not
