- Join me for a full video review of the all-new 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170! The Dodge Demon 170 packs 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque through its 6.2L V8 and a modified 3.0L Supercharger. This is the first factory muscle car to run E85 to increase horsepower! On E10, the Demon 170 produces 900 horsepower and 810 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with Mickey Thompson ET Street Rs and TransBrake 2.0, this Challenger hits a 8.91s 1/4 mile at 151.17 mph. The question is, will this be the ultimate muscle car of all time? I get behind the wheel!

Because the sunroof makes the car heavier, but the best thing is he's got a 1 of 1 or 1 of 2 that has the sunroof which makes it more rare!!!

The sunroof is $10,000 because Dodge didn't want people ordering it. That same sunroof on the other (Challenger) models is only $1,295. However, even though Dodge doesn't want people ordering it on the 170 - they know people want it anyways. Leading to that extreme price. I believe the reason comes down to performance - you get the actual marketed numbers without the sunroof since the sunroof is heavy (between 30-80lbs) and it changes the weight distribution, aerodynamics, and body rigidity. You're also sacrificing interior space as the headliner now sits lower with the sunroof. It might not make a dramatic difference but you could be losing 0.1-0.3 seconds for those changes.

In a straight line at a drag strip or highway roll, the Demon 170 will put busses on the C8 Z06. At a streetlight street race or road course, the C8Z would annihilate the Demon. So depends what you are talking about.

@@srtpete1353 No one that daily drives a Challenger wishes it was a light weight shit box. I've been in all three of the modern muscle-cars and the Challenger is by far the most comfortable. You can actually fit in the rear seat ffs. It runs an 8.9 so why complain? Too many Ford and Chevy clowns gas lighting you? LOL
This looks just like the plum crazy Demon 170 in the detail bay that my B5 R/T was next to when i picked it up. As great as it is ro see these cars exist it's sad regulations and mergers killed them. I'll cherish my R/T and hopefully cross paths with a Demon again.
