A king-sized quilt measures 108 inches by 95 inches. Our blocks ended up being 9 inches after they were sewn together. 12x9 equals 108" and 10x9 equals 99, which is 4 inches over standard size. It takes 120 blocks. The cloth is 11"x11", the batting was 9" squares. We used electric scissors to clip the 1" to make the rag portion. I played out the quilt pattern in Photoshop, but you can use graph paper and color the blocks for whatever pattern you like. Each block is a stack of 3. Flannel, batting, and cloth. You leave the batting at 9 inches because it won't fray after being clipped. I have other quilt videos on RUclips. Maybe one of those will provide some more information. I will try to answer any questions you may have.
