It almost made me cry when he was talking because he was talking about my grandma who passed away.

Exactly, as a Christian I have never seen God as the "end all make all giver of everything", no no, that's Santa Clause. God is, in my interpretation as a Christian, a guide, and a leader. He won't give you the world, he'll give you the tools to take it. He won't give you riches, he'll give you an opportunity at a job. People who believe he's some kind of "yes man" that will solve all your problems with no effort on your part, are not _real_ Christians, they're deluded people looking for an easy way out, and it makes me so angry.
Daz's story about the man refusing help saying 'God will save me' reminded me of my coworker in the optics field telling me a story about a patient who came in with symptoms of a retinal detachment on Christmas Eve. She said to her that unfortunately we had no appointments available but she had to go straight to the emergency room because most likely she had a retinal detachment. The patient said it was Christmas Eve and that isn't how she wanted to spend her holidays, ending the conversation with "God will look after me". She came back in January and she had lost almost all of her vision in one eye.
Why do they think God created medicine and doctors? People who take religious scripture to only mean pure divine magical intervention baffle me. It rings similar to the people who "put faith in their immune systems" over science-backed interventions back when Covid was tearing through the world.
Remember guys, not all christians think like this. This is their interpretation. I'm a christian as well but my views are closer to Daz's in this matter.

I just love how Daz can make both sides happy for example he gives atheists and christians satisfaction in his awnsers and opinions. As a Christian who has a crush, I'd say that Daz has such an understanding view of religion, and he makes the viewers see the other aspects of the point- I've felt, being a Christian, that having a crush, liking someone or even falling in love was bad, I was subconsciously telling myself that loving and liking someone was wrong. Watching and listening to Daz talk about how God is saying 'here, I've brought this person to you because they will make you happy' gives me hope that this person will make me happy and will make me want to try and put in effort. Thanks Daz for giving me that little bit of hope. (I've also never really thought about the whole, 'aspirin and antidepressants' thing... It really gets you thinking)
grew up in a strict christian household. i used to beat myself up constantly for even feeling attraction to boys because of the exact message girl defined was pushing in that video. i still struggle with even allowing myself to be attracted to people years later. what a beautiful take on that, daz. will be remembering that :)

I am a christian and Daz's boat metaphor and explanation are fantastic because the bible may say to put no other idols before God but that doesn't make it a bad thing like Daz said. I love Daz's viewpoints on topics such as these they truly are logical.

I love how Daz is incredibly respectful and he knows and understands that God works through people and events that happen around us. (14:25) I love how he talks about how a crush can end up as your husband and beautiful kids, that's exactly how God works in your life, he uses others to make your life better or maybe just make you happier or experience something you needed to. I know Daz isn't religious but i think he's really good on explaining how God is basically our answer book and that's what the bible really is our answer book on how to navigate life. Daz you were the best in this video speaking your opinion but staying respectful and understanding i feel like you helped so many young christians who watch those 2 girls truly understand how God actually works. (I am a woman, in sex & gender). It's a lot more to do with psychological stuff, their attachment styles, their parents involvement in their life, and how that creates their behaviors, tbh, lusting after someone is actually a very nice feeling, it makes you all butterfly-ey and it's genuinely a normal thing to experience early teens, and some for those who develop later, even at 19 or 20, besides, the brain actually doesn't stop developing until 26, which is why there are laws on drugs & substances for certain ages, because it you do it before that age, you're brain has basically stopped growing, the neurons lose their firing connections. All very biological. I'm curious as to why people are asexual, and I'm sure it's different for the majority of them, but I've always been curious as to why people lack sexual attraction. Being gay or lesbian is actually a mutation, as our biological function is to reproduce and humans can only do this with opposite sex, (I don't have anything against LGBTQ+, its actually a fact). I can't tell if sex is overall boring for them ,if they have never had sex, (or people who are afraid of it, also known as sexual anorexia, (and those afraid of commitment and connection, like people with avoidant attachment styles, often have what is called intimacy anorexia)), if it's a dislike of the act because x, y ,z or etc. However most people I know that categorize themselves as asexual only because they haven't tried it, or had a very bad experience. Thus I often suggest trying it first, because many people in therapy do trace back to certain memories, and without having tried it, they never knew it was actually comforting, or supposed to be more intimate than what you see in modern day porn. T Hence, these girls are very religious, and seem to have their BS kind of backwards. Usually this is a normal thing for women, it gets them very excited to feel like they are "in love" when" it is simple lusting, which is actually why I dislike the idea of love. People change all the time and the majority of the time, not into the right kind of people, or doing the right kind of things. Growing up in my family, genuinely our version of loving each other was false love, everyone pretended everything was fine when I was actually surrounded by gaslighters, narcissists and very lazy/neglectful parents- however I have to give my mom more credit because she had always been busy with work, despite that though, there was a perfectionist side to her, and it made me very anxious to walk around her, (was like stepping on glass around her). Not only inwards I do not enjoy love but also outside, I find it overrated and occasionally even underwhelming. Depending on which country you live in, (like America), the majority of people are extremely fake, and now having done lots of studying and researching into psychology and abnormal psychology, I now realize when people lie, or try to manipulate, which is pretty much most of the time, especially passive aggressive men. Love is essentially for those willing to commit, and those I personally believe are blinded by the inability to experience many more things, or to be able to get out and about without feeling bored. For the past two years I have been very bored in dating, and meeting new people, they lie, try and manipulate, gaslight, or just act very improper or immature for their age, but since trying to get out more, and experience things without people, I have learned that I was really only enjoying "crushes" because I was simply lusting for excitement, not even love or romance, which is basically dead nowadays.
That thought that it is "gods answers to prayers for healing" to make people invent something amazing that heals the worst illness at the time, is actually beautifull and something that even I can get behind and I am an atheist myself.

I think it's just a next way of separating people and giving them a next reason to be cunts to others. I remember my old church (i left it, and you'll see why) and i decided to bring my friends to learn about god: a atheist, a lesbian, and a girl who believed bible is dumb. I knew little to nothing about god at that time and I'm glad i didn't learn anything else or get too deep into the religion. My church basically verbally assaulted them for having their own opinions on how the world is. Religion can make people go against one another just for a preference or view of tradition. It's basically tied with racism in my view. I know that not all christians or people from others religions are like this, but that moment made me literally hate the religion that my parents forced upon me. And the annoying thing is that i have no say in it. Religion can also make people control their children in a bad way. Imagine a little kid being told from a young age to never eat shrimp/pork, or experience any envy (or any emotional sin that all humans feel) or a magic man in the sky will send them to hell? They basically make the child a hollow shell who is praying every night scared to do anything in fear of going to hell for a wrong move. That's not love, it's fear of being hurt when you die. Sorry for the long rant though, just wanted to get my opinion off my chest.

Daz I’m a 13 year old Christian and I’ve been confused lately about how my life will play out with love and opportunities and I’m not going to lie I have been scared I might not be able to have that love or have that opportunity and your words opened my eyes telling me that God gives and provides answers for us in ways we don’t even know. So much so I wrote your whole speech down on paper and pinned it to my wall to remind to have faith but also to look out for those answers and not be scared of what life has to offer.

Daz is such a genuinely loving, understanding person. He can see both sides to an argument and doesn’t put the other person down while disagreeing with their point. Too often I think we see people treating people they disagree with horribly and sometimes inhumanely worst case scenario. But Daz is here modeling for us how to argue respectfully and rightfully, bringing the other person he disagrees with up and helping them understand why his way might be better.
It is expected that men make the first move. I met my husband while working at Geek Squad and he literally didn’t say a word, but smiled very sweetly at me while I was completing the purchase he was making. I think that this does paint religion wrong. Sexual attraction is natural, its a natural feeling that we were created to feel! Attraction isn't a sin. Another thing, having a crush or having a full on obsession with someone is very different. Obsession is an unhealthy attachment to something or someone. A crush is an innocent infatuation. The way these girls talk about religion, they make it seem like to be religious, you have to be completely celibate until marriage. As a christian, its important to know that God isn't gonna just click his fingers and give you everything you want when you want it or when youre ready for it. As a Christian who has a crush, I'd say that Daz has such an understanding view of religion, and he makes the viewers see the other aspects of the point- I've felt, being a Christian, that having a crush, liking someone or even falling in love was bad, I was subconsciously telling myself that loving and liking someone was wrong. Watching and listening to Daz talk about how God is saying 'here, I've brought this person to you because they will make you happy' gives me hope that this person will make me happy and will make me want to try and put in effort. Thanks Daz for giving me that little bit of hope.

(14:25) I love how he talks about how a crush can end up as your husband and beautiful kids, that's exactly how God works in your life, he uses others to make your life better or maybe just make you happier or experience something you needed to. I know Daz isn't religious but i think he's really good on explaining how God is basically our answer book and that's what the bible really is our answer book on how to navigate life. (I am a woman, in sex & gender). It's a lot more to do with psychological stuff, their attachment styles, their parents involvement in their life, and how that creates their behaviors, tbh, lusting after someone is actually a very nice feeling, it makes you all butterfly-ey and it's genuinely a normal thing to experience early teens, and some for those who develop later, even at 19 or 20, besides, the brain actually doesn't stop developing until 26, which is why there are laws on drugs & substances for certain ages, because it you do it before that age, you're brain has basically stopped growing, the neurons lose their firing connections. All very biological. I'm curious as to why people are asexual, and I'm sure it's different for the majority of them, but I've always been curious as to why people lack sexual attraction. Being gay or lesbian is actually a mutation, as our biological function is to reproduce and humans can only do this with opposite sex, (I don't have anything against LGBTQ+, its actually a fact). I can't tell if sex is overall boring for them ,if they have never had sex, (or people who are afraid of it, also known as sexual anorexia, (and those afraid of commitment and connection, like people with avoidant attachment styles, often have what is called intimacy anorexia)), if it's a dislike of the act because x, y ,z or etc. However most people I know that categorize themselves as asexual only because they haven't tried it, or had a very bad experience. Thus I often suggest trying it first, because many people in therapy do trace back to certain memories, and without having tried it, they never knew it was actually comforting, or supposed to be more intimate than what you see in modern day porn. T
Hence, these girls are very religious, and seem to have their BS kind of backwards. Usually this is a normal thing for women, it gets them very excited to feel like they are "in love" when" it is simple lusting, which is actually why I dislike the idea of love. People change all the time and the majority of the time, not into the right kind of people, or doing the right kind of things. Growing up in my family, genuinely our version of loving each other was false love, everyone pretended everything was fine when I was actually surrounded by gaslighters, narcissists and very lazy/neglectful parents- however I have to give my mom more credit because she had always been busy with work, despite that though, there was a perfectionist side to her, and it made me very anxious to walk around her, (was like stepping on glass around her). Not only inwards I do not enjoy love but also outside, I find it overrated and occasionally even underwhelming. Depending on which country you live in, (like America), the majority of people are extremely fake, and now having done lots of studying and researching into psychology and abnormal psychology, I now realize when people lie, or try to manipulate, which is pretty much most of the time, especially passive aggressive men. Love is essentially for those willing to commit, and those I personally believe are blinded by the inability to experience many more things, or to be able to get out and about without feeling bored. For the past two years I have been very bored in dating, and meeting new people, they lie, try and manipulate, gaslight, or just act very improper or immature for their age, but since trying to get out more, and experience things without people, I have learned that I was really only enjoying "crushes" because I was simply lusting for excitement, not even love or romance, which is basically dead nowadays.

I think it's just a next way of separating people and giving them a next reason to be cunts to others. I remember my old church (i left it, and you'll see why) and i decided to bring my friends to learn about god: a atheist, a lesbian, and a girl who believed bible is dumb. I knew little to nothing about god at that time and I'm glad i didn't learn anything else or get too deep into the religion. My church basically verbally assaulted them for having their own opinions on how the world is.
Religion can make people go against one another just for a preference or view of tradition. It's basically tied with racism in my view. I know that not all christians or people from others religions are like this, but that moment made me literally hate the religion that my parents forced upon me. And the annoying thing is that i have no say in it.
Religion can also make people control their children in a bad way. Imagine a little kid being told from a young age to never eat shrimp/pork, or experience any envy (or any emotional sin that all humans feel) or a magic man in the sky will send them to hell? They basically make the child a hollow shell who is praying every night scared to do anything in fear of going to hell for a wrong move. That's not love, it's fear of being hurt when you die.
Sorry for the long rant though, just wanted to get my opinion off my chest.

I believe In God and that the Bible is a good guide to a good life but you dont have to follow every word of it literally. People can believe in whatever they want and do what they want and still be happy.
I've never read the whole bible, I only follow bits and peaces of it that I have heard or read and I believe in those things but I don't let it take over my life and my ability to make the decisions that I want. Im happy just the way I am and im sure other people are also happy believing and doing what they want.
It's okay to love the other gender and its okay to do what makes you happy as long as it doesnt hurt others. Don't let people that hate on you get you down. Remember that you are not alone there is always someone that cares, whether it's friends or family or even someone new you've met recently. Nobody's perfect, it's what makes us different and unique. Not everyone would agree with you and you the same with them but be respectful about it and go one your way. Evolve forwards not backwards and learn from your past mistakes.

Too often I think we see people treating people they disagree with horribly and sometimes inhumanely worst case scenario. I think that this does paint religion wrong. Sexual attraction is natural, its a natural feeling that we were created to feel! Attraction isn't a sin. Another thing, having a crush or having a full on obsession with someone is very different. Obsession is an unhealthy attachment to something or someone. A crush is an innocent infatuation.
The way these girls talk about religion, they make it seem like to be religious, you have to be completely celibate until marriage. Its like they are demonizing romance and dating....which is a major part and stepping stone in meeting a possible partner.

As a christian, its important to know that God isn't gonna just click his fingers and give you everything you want when you want it or when youre ready for it. He provides opportunities for you to learn and grow, and it ultimately ends up being your choice as to whether or not you grasp them.
He doesn't make you do anything, he gives the option and leaves it to you to make the decision.

And quite frankly, in my mind they deserve to go to “hell” for saying that I and others should suffer just because of who I am.
