SIMPSON HAS PASSED AWAY | Double Toasted - Today we are talking about a celebrity death that out of most deaths that we've talked about on our channel, this may be one of the most interesting to discuss considering the legacy that this man has left behind in regards to what he's gone away with, and how uncomfortably weird he's acted ever since. Whether it's verdict reactions, the glove scene in the court room, the live chase broadcasted all over the news, Nicole Brown Simpson, every documentary that has touched on the story of OJ Simpson, and more - there is just A LOT to discuss about this man and we do it all HERE!

"Im not black im oj".....ok.
Still ni...😂
Legendary song that has a good message till this day
Well, he wasn't because none of us are black! Just like no Caucasian is white... those are corporate designations for class in America. OJ meant he represents himself and is not a face for Negroes in America.
I friggin love that song and the music video
Is something wrong with wanting to be seen for you instead of ur pigmentation ?😂
I'm a white guy who went to a predominantly black school. I was 11 years old when the verdict was read and we watched it live in our 6th grade classroom. I remember me and pretty much all of my classmates cheering! But we were just a bunch of dumb kids. At that age and in those times, entertainment trained us to think being found "not guilty" was always a victory. I didn't even know who OJ Simpson was at the time outside of the murder trial. Our teacher was probably biting her tongue, telling herself that we just didn't know any better. It's a very weird thing to look back on.
How is it that you’re as old as you are and you still have zero grasp on why your predominantly black classmates were cheering?
Your school broadcast the verdict?
@@missladyanonymity The school itself didn't broadcast it. We just turned the TV on that was in the classroom to watch it. Just like how we saw the towers fall on 9/11 in the classroom my senior year.
@@missladyanonymityI might be mistaken but a lot of schools did. It was a once in a lifetime trial.

After failing to find his ex-wife's killer in this world, OJ decided to search in the afterlife.

The OJ Simpson trial was the Reality TV equivalent of William Shakespeare's OTHELLO.

Idk, Othello was actually wrongfully accused and committed suicide after the truth came out
Actually, on second thought, I get what you mean - Othello DID kill Desdemona, but it was based on a lie planted by someone else, and he at least felt remorse afterward, lol
I won’t celebrate OJ’s death but I also won’t mourn his loss. I will give my sympathies to his close family who lost someone they considered a loved one that’s as far as I’ll go.
Surprise everyone didn't have this same energy for Carolyn Bryant and her lying on Emmitt till
BINGO! The same mofos didn't have this energy for Zimmerman as well and WE KNOW they are both guilty. It's the classic case of black man and an innocent white woman. I'm glad you see through the bull$#!+
yes where is the video of them name calling her after she passed?
Right? I agree. The way I see it, as terrible as OJ was, Carolyn Bryant was true scum. She was a cockroach in society that did nothing for no one. She deserves nothing. Emmitt is the only one truly remembered.
It's crazy to me seeing people still defend this man.
Acquited.....
People are stupid.
Because he's innocent....
It’s not that crazy.
If he didn't do it....he didn't do it....
We were on the freeway heading back from the pet store picking up a fish tank for my 10th birthday and OJs chase was right behind us. And then I remember seeing only the trial on our tv. It was truly the biggest thing happening in America during that time.
Not for me, it wasn't. White nationalist terrorist Timothy McVeigh was a lot bigger for me. Not the crime of an interracial marriage gone wrong.
This year marks the 30th of his trial, and 20 years of Shrek 2 which mocked his arrest. 2024 is awesome!!!
OJ can now rest easy knowing his wife's killer has died.

he had kids, he killed their mom but, they were still his kids, it's all just sick and sad.
This man literally took his lies to the grave. Never forget that awkward period where he tried to make it on Twitter. This man’s rise and fall is so fascinating to look at. From the news reports to the court case, to the book literally titled “(if) I Did It” and even the American Crime Story season retelling the events and the three part Documentary series. Also the pop cultural impact of the many jokes and parodies that came from it as well. It’s safe to say that for the last 30 years, his reputation is forever tarnished. Even after all those times where he would “prove his side” of the story, or claiming he’ll find the real killer, or poke fun at it or make jokes about it, people will still never see OJ Simpson the same way ever again. Even long after he’s dead, nobody’s gonna remember his football career or his short lived acting career. That double murder that he got away with will always be what people remember him from.
OJ was 100% not guilty! There were so many factors pointing to him not doing it from; 1. The Mezzaluna restaurant being a hangout spot of Nicole's, which was full of mob boss corruption, had several waiters working there who were killed in similar fashion, 2. (which would be the icing on the cake for the case) Nicole’s phone records, that were blocked for obvious reasons, showing Nicole on the phone with her mother during the same time that OJ was on the way to Chicago which means that she was still alive when he left town. That's just two points out of SEVERAL that prove he didn't do it and I haven't even mentioned racist Mark Fuhrman! #Innocent #CaseClosed
Imagine carrying that for 30 years and still being pleasant....
@@darianlynch2687 Wasn't there OJ DNA found at the crime scene? And bloody footprints in his Bronco, and his hairs found in those gloves? Sounds pretty clear cut to me. Oh and I haven't mentioned the juror (Lionel Cryer) who gave Simpson a black power raised fist salute when the verdict was read. Cryer was a former Black Panther Party member. You're right, race played a part... but not the way you think.
I mean he was found innocent in a court of law, why are we so certain that he did it?
@@codafettyou’re acting like our justice system is the gold standard of fairness and correctness lol
People better have this energy when George Zimmerman passes
Korey said, "I'm off today." O.J. said, "Not today. Hold my glove."
🤣
News of his passing came out of nowhere. I didn't know he had cancer. Seems only people who followed him on Twitter knew what was going on with his health. I think it was terminal (stage 4). He was told he had a few months to live at best. Rather than upset his fanbase he decided not to reveal the truth about how sick he was.
Now that he is gone no doubt, he leaves behind a legacy that is not favorable. O.J. never showed any sign of grief for Nicole. If he was innocent there is no way he would have been able to clown around the way he did in the years following the trial.
I feel bad for OJ's family because I know what it's like to lose a love one to cancer, but at the same time, I have no sympathy for someone who turns his back on the black community by seeking validation from WS. I know it sounds harsh, but it's the truth.
Exactly.
But he IS the PRIME EXAMPLE---OF "A GOOD BLACK MAN, A GOOD BLACK FATHER."
For some thirty years, he became UNEMPLOYABLE. He lost a LOT of people he considered "friends." O.J. Simpson allowed the WORLD to attack HIM, beat up on HIM, despise HIM----INSTEAD OF HIS SON JASON----who was THE REAL KILLER!
Every single bit of evidence pointed to Jason, but once they allowed the media to take pictures-----prematurely, I might add----of them putting handcuffs on O.J., the D.A. and LAPD were screwed! They began "concocting evidence", "finding evidence", using "tainted evidence"...etc.
Why was JASON all scratched up from his neck, shoulder, chest and all up and down HIS arms, right after the murders? This was what A SNIPER SAID HE SAW through the scope on his gun while waiting on Al Cowlings and OJ to return to OJ's house. (you can find the video here on YT) JASON suffered mental health issues and suffered from "RAGE disorder." JASON pulled a knife on MULTIPLE PEOPLE and threatened them, including lopping off an ex-girlfriend's ponytail. JASON had been OFF his medications for almost two months BEFORE THE MURDERS. JASON was even missing several of his "Chef's knives" from his set. There's just too much evidence pointing to Jason.
I'd bet dollars to donuts JASON flew into a rage, killed them both and then called Daddy---to fix it all---which is how O.J. got involved. That's why the traffic cam picked up O.J. speeding towards Nicole's house AFTER the guy jogging heard a commotion at Nicole's condo; a condo 5-10 mins. FROM Jason's apartment and job.
So at least O.J. "gave back" THAT young Black man's life to him. Jason has spent the last 30 years FREE----to change, not to change, to get better, to get worse, etc. TO LIVE HIS LIFE.
But his father's legacy will forever be tarnished BECAUSE OF JASON'S ACTIONS.
It would be kinda cool if he left a death-bed confessional. I mean, IF he did it....of course
Right I said the same thing.
Maybe he did but we'll never know
He proved to the American People, "Money Talks".
Charles Barkley is another one that acts like a robot when he speaks in front of the camera LoL 🤣 😂 😆
His whole saga is fascinating. Got off for a murder charge due to contradicting evidence where tons of people were both rooting for him and wanted him jailed, but then proceeds to do everything imaginable to incriminate himself further and get in trouble. I forgot it wasn't just Nicole he was accused of killing. I was really young when it was all going down, but remember how divided people were over him, especially among the black community and sports community which i'm sure Korey got into. He's not the first nor is he going to be the last celebrity from that time who was up to some awful crap and died leaving people divided on their level of guilt.
Apparently the reason OJ wasn’t picked to play the Terminator was because the studio didn’t think audiences could buy him as a villain back then. Really goes to show how much his trial turned people’s views of him upside-down.
It’s also worth noting that Ron Goldman’s family somehow gained the rights to that “If I Did It” book prior to publication so that a lot of the royalties from it went to them, and they also had the cover designed so that the word “if” is harder to see than the rest of the title.
All I can say is, we will never see a character like OJ again
Apparently, the movie Speed was released a week before that car chase.
I like that movie the first one was good the second one sucked

Despite what happened in his personal life, I actually liked him in the Naked Gun movies
Him falling down those stairs in the wheelchair was hilarious, in more ways than one these days.
His role in Naked Gun is actually more funnier in hindsight
He was hilarious as Nordberg. Can't imagine anyone else in that role.
I feel the same way
Its even funnier watching him fall into traps now
But isn't it strange how he ran around all invincible and antagonistic, I mean, nobody went after him? Nobody so much as threatened an attacked him?
He thought he could escape justice, but he couldn't escape from death.
Dude none of us escape from death ...dumb comment smh

The civil suit happened before the trial, and Johnnie Cochran tried to get postponed until after the trial because it would hurt their case, but the judge still proceeded. So they knew he was going to lose the civil suit. This shows the racism in America because if a black man gets found not guilty of a murder he is still guilty. The reason he didn't pay the civil suit is not because he went to Vegas it's because they couldn't touch his retirement income. If they made any extra money, they could, but he was smart enough to get paid under the table. For example, the million dollar home he stayed in, his friend, bought it for him.
I didn’t realize he was a football player until right before the murders happened I just knew him from that naked gun films😂😂

Bummer Norm is not around to joke about this
Corey is wrong about black people not being happy that OJ was found not guilty. They were celebrating in some parts of LA. People were still upset about Rodney King back then. Don't believe me, you can look it up.
Naw, it wasn't Rodney king. It was more hatred for the LAPD which was awful at the time. That and Natasha Hawlins (to which I'm sure you don't know who that is). Plus, OJ is one black dude who cheated the system. I'm personally affected by white people cheating the system. My great grandmother was lynched in Mississippi. Which left my grandmother at 12 to take care of her younger brother and sister. And no ones found justice or cares. There's no record of death. So excuse me if black people basically just did what white folks do daily. Not care about the moral justice of those that don't look like them. Is oj a murderer. Yes. Do I care. Nope. Because plenty of white people turn a blind eye to unlawful or unjust murdered black folks. And until white folks start not letting go of Emmitt Till like they do oj. I'm not changing my stance. Sorry.
Not ALL black people were happy. Have you even met black people?

If OJ killed his first black wife everyone would have turned on him. On the other hand, Marguerite defended him from the murders. He said he wasn't abusive to her. I wonder if it's a case of bad judgement but I think it's better she stays away from the spotlight.
To be brutally honest, if he unalived his Black wife, most people wouldn’t have cared as much. The salaciousness behind this double murder was a beautiful blonde and her handsome companion being unalived by a black celebrity man. No one cares if a black middle aged housewife gets killed. 🤷🏾♀️
