    Dang, you are a speed demon!! Glad you made it back safely! So, first off thanks for making these videos! You're the only one making them with real world rides. A few questions.. did you have this in sport mode with the blinking wheel boost turned on? 9 miles seems super low.... : / but on a good note, it seems really sturdy and easy to handle! Another question/request, could you do a max range on the medium (20mph) setting? It would be good to know if you can actually get 20 miles of rang at a lower speed setting.. and one other thing. I saw on another channel that you can get it out of park mode and back into your last speed setting by hitting the minus button. Thanks again for the awesome videos!

      Thanks for the kind words! First, yes. This is with sports mode on and the double-blinking wheel power mode on. Second, I can look to do that. Their website claims a 25 mile range for the GX1, so it would be nice to see how true that is for my specific unit. And thanks for the tip, I usually try and keep it out of parking mode while waiting but that would make it easier lol

      @@lurkchannel ok cool. Good to know! The other channel said it'll still get to 30mph in sport mode but the blinking wheel light just adds more acceleration power which probably eats the battery a lot more. You'd think that gotrax would put out an instructional video on their own going over all the features and benefits of their flagship scooters! It's very odd that they don't lol. But here you are, selling the gx lineup thru your RUclips videos. You need an affiliate link! I'd try to get one thru Target because that's where I bought mine for a few reasons. One I was able to sign up for red circle and get a 10% off store wide coupon making the gx1 $899. And secondly, Target accepts online returns in store for 90 days after the purchase date! That's a pretty insurance plan in case the unit is defective imo. Anywho, very cool videos. And thanks for the response! Keep at it! I've watched this one twice already lol. It wasn't until the second time around I noticed your curb hop. That was pretty sweet, the scooter didn't rattle or anything.

      I just got the GX2 it's pretty much the same as this just 5mph faster and bigger battery. I can go 22miles at 35mph and 30miles in level 2 about 27mph

      @@blue408c6 ok Cool. So a lower level seems to give you more range. Good to know! That actually sounds like it's worth the extra $300.. question though, did you put the blinking wheel turbo mode on when you went 22 miles at 36mph, or just sport mode without turbo?

    Well, I can confirm. They decided to glue shut the USB hub for charging your phone. Not a huge issue but just fyi for anyone ordering one now. I will say, this thing is sturdy, comfy, fast and sweet! I wear size 12 shoes and the deck is still comfy even though it's quite short, the width makes up for it. I can comfortably ride with my feet next to each other and still feel safe bc of the shocks and width of the deck. Breaks squeak only near full stop but I'm going to try adjusting them. The stem is solid. The modes are all awesome except selecting them is backwards and it's kind of annoying to be honest but like anything I'll get used to it. 26" wide handle bars feel like you're riding a mountain bike. It's 32° here so I won't comment on range, but if I can get 15 miles when it's above 60° I'll be happy.. thanks again for the ride videos and input!

    An up to 25 miles range and it gets less than 10 miles if you push it at max speed, kind of of disappointing. I'm guessing that 25 miles rated range is probably with very ideal road conditions as well is weather conditions, rider weight and I wouldn't be surprised if it was done on the lowest gear.

    • @kyleb4327
      @kyleb4327 2 месяца назад +1

      I've done lots of tests on my gx1 and I can confirm the only way someone is getting within 5 miles of the max 25 mile range would be in the lowest (15 mph) mode without turbo turned on. But, I will say, if you only go riding 10 miles a day as a hobby, this thing is a beast. The breaks squeak non stop but besides that I'm pretty happy with mine as it was in the upper end of my budget.

      Yep, almost all distance ratings are under ideal conditions on flat ground with a 165lb rider and in the lowest power setting. Some of the very high end scooters will give estimates based on power settings but it's very uncommon currently.

    Nice ride while it lasted, but you had to have been pulling 80amp per mile to reach 9 miles. One would say simply add more amps to the 15 that are in this model, but the scooter is already cumbersome to carry down let alone up stairs. The problem is even someone 50lbs lighter will at best get like 14 miles while someone heavier will have to make it a round trip of what 4 miles lol that’s comical. 😳😁

    Sir ur top speed isn't supposed to be ur average speed lol ur gonna melt those controllers. My 30 mph scooter I am usually riding at 24 mph. If u wanna be cruising at 30 mph most of the time u need a scooter that can top out at 38-42 mph.

    • @lurkchannel
      @lurkchannel  3 месяца назад +2

      Lol fair! I think holding off on the power mode will help in that regard. I really like hitting 30 so I might be looking into another model at some point in the future. Preferably something lighter if possible.

      @@lurkchannel lol just use your car and pace yourself at 30 mph for a while and you'll realize 30 mph is actually a rather dangerous speed when hopping in and out of traffic with cars. It's not slow like 20 mph where cars can maneuver around you, but just fast enough where cars begin to think you got speed and they hug your ass. If you wanna sit in traffic for longer than two stop lights at a time you need a 40 mph scooter. I was actually chatting with one of those guys who does those Gotrax commercials and he was showing me melted controllers from ppl who use their top speed as their average speed.
